Aoi the Crossdresser Roisu I hate when people make generalizations like that, Aoi. You are a boy who makes rampant generalizations about gender. You are not the only boy who does so. That DOES NOT mean I hate all boys or that all boys make generalizations. But if I was to hate the entire male gender, I would include Semok. But Semok is in the female gender. sad I think, there might be a little clarification needed here. Gender is how we identify ourselves. someone with a male gender would be male, and someone with a female gender would be female. Their sex would be their physical traits. These two are not always going to coincide with each other. The idea that all men think like males, and all females think like females is incorrect. Much like how we identify ourselves as being the same gender as our sex is an assumption characterized by a homophobic society. It makes things harder to categorize for the general public that isn't open to forward thinking. People are a bit more complex than just being male or female.

Semok is in the female sex due to biological reasons so I think that's why she sees weirdly.

Earth's population is practically 50/50 men and women. Even if there were more males, it would only be a very slight majority.
Supposing males and females do see things noticeably differently, who's to say women are the ones who see weirdly? Maybe we're normal, and you're weird for seeing ) as |
I am still not saying that I see curves where you don't, Aoi, you idiot.

But you have astigmatism to so you may see weirdly in the future, and not just talking about curves either, Semok probably sees like a fun house for all we know....or she actually may have been toying with me all this time and sees normal (enough) but is a psychology freak who likes purposely doing things to see my reactions and enjoys it.

Oh wow. I thought this conversation had ended. xd I've been too busy bein'...well...drunk. xd And my vision is bad, but I don't think it has anythin' to do with me bein' female, and more to do with the fact that both my parents, and their parents, and so on and so forth, all have bad eyes. It's hereditary. Also, some of my vision problems seem to stem more from neurology than just plain vision. kazerin FOUND ME

First line of the astigmatism article on Wikipedia: "Astigmatism is an optical defect in which vision is blurred due to the inability of the optics of the eye to focus a point object into a sharp focused image on the retina."
First line of the myopia article on Wikipedia: "This causes the image that one sees when looking at a distant object to be out of focus"
An astigmatism just makes things blurry, no different from normal poor vision. (Myopia is nearsightedness, by the way.)

Yeah. Pretty much, nearsightedness is when your eyes go oval shaped one way, and farsightedness is when your eyes go oval the other way. It's either horizontally or vertically, I can never remember which way. Astigmatisms is when they go kinda oval shaped both ways, so both horizontally and vertically. xd
A very crude explanation, but I think it works.
To fix vision, the lenses that are crafted for people are either concave or convex one way or the other (if I'm rememberin' right from my physics class). With astigmatisms, they have to be crafted both horizontally and vertically.
I took a class on this quite a few years ago, so I might be a bit off, but that's the gist of it. Your eye is no longer circular, so your pupil can't focus right, or whatever. I know it has more to do with the cornea and what not, but that's way more detail and I already know that Aoi won't care. xd

Roisu well, you know, guys eyes are always perfectly spherical. I do not like this. Everyones eyes are circles (thinking of the colored part). Never seen someone with an oval shaped iris.

As far as I am aware, the iris has nothing to do with your vision. The entire eyeball, even the part inside your head that you can't see in the mirror, that's what I'm talking about. If you're thinking about the shape of the eye as not the shape of the entire eyeball, most people would probably think of the shape made by your eyelids when they're open. Like, when fantasy writers say elves have almond eyes, they don't mean that they have almond-shaped irises (the iris is the colored part between the pupil and the white part, by the way)
