Tanaka grinned a her reaction, a spark in his green eye as she spurned him on. Yes, it had been wrong what they had done to him, and there would come a day that he would have his revenge. A revenge that would be made all the sweater with Kiuma at his side. The thought was invigorating and he relished it,
But tonight was not that time, and he too was growing sleepy. He had been growing edging since they'd arrived in these lands, but tonight's activity had relaxed him, surely he'd be able to sleep now. Maw opening in his own yawn, limbs extended in a stretch as he stood to his feet. Yes, sleep sounded good now.
"Their pain will be far greater than mine ever was."
He brushed his shoulder against hers affectionately as he walked at her side, barely managing to stiffle another yawn as he did.
"Yes, sleep sounds like a good idea."

Kiuma smiled, eyes half-lidded. She felt good for the exercise, and the meal. Feeling the brush along one shoulder, she chuckled and bumped against his solid side, her tail trailing behind her as they walked step in step.
It took a while for the pair to return to their resting place. They'd gone quite a distance to find their prey, and it seemed longer when she had to lug along her bellyful of food. Finally, her weary paws found the hollow in the grass where she'd been sleeping meer hours before, and she sank down into it with a soft groan. Yawning, she flopped over onto her side, lanky form sprawled inelegantly across the grass. The sound of the wind through the grass, and the soft sound of Tanaka breathing close by, lulled her quickly to sleep, aided no doubt by her very full stomach.

It did seem a long ways back, and his paws fell heavy on the brittle ground with each step. It seemed the lack of sleep had caught up with him, and the release of emotion had left him drained. He would certainly sleep well now.
At last they reached their destination, and as if his body were antisipating sleep, his jaws opened in another wide yawn. He circled, flattening down the grass, before flopping down on his full belly. His head fell to the ground, his eye falling closed, tail flicking lightly behind him. He shifted, rolling onto his side to get more comfortable a few moments before he too slipped into the silence of a dreamless sleep.
