"Thanks." Dragon said with a bright smile, clearly proud of himself for pushing through an obstacle he wouldn't normally be able to do. He didn't seem at all bothered by his clear mistakes, having predicted it for a long time. It was just nice having someone to sing it with.
A flicker of surprise showed on the young man's face when he heard Lurtz talk about him never second guessing himself. He stared at him for a second before his smile returned and dragged his gaze down to his twiddling thumbs. "You know, I think this is the first time someone actually talked to me like that." he mentioned then looked back up at the blue-haired man with a truly happy smile. "Complimenting with advice... People just call me cute all the time before leaving me behind." he chirped as his eyes cleared to frost blue.

So I keep bending 'till I break. "I'm not like most people, Lord Dragon. My intentions have always been to help others in achieving their true potential and protecting those I care about. In order to help others achieving their true potential, advice is necessary. Whether other people take the advice and use it to better one's self is that other persons decision," Lurtz responded rather calmly and almost as if he'd stated such a thing before. He probably had at one point or another, but such a thing escaped him at the moment. For now he was just glad to see that Dragon could take pride in his abilities. While still a timid boy, he would eventually become a fine adult male. It was just a matter of being able to keep his friends from disappearing once he'd met them. "Do you have a school dorm to stay in? I'm only curious because you stated earlier that you have a hard time keeping people close and was... Is... Am... Willing to let you take up residence in this room if you'd like as a means of comfort. My dad might visit occasionally to scold me for something he's picked up on me doing incorrectly, but you'd know that I'm still here and don't intend to abandon you." He felt kind of stupid for opening his mouth, but it kind of just slipped out like word vomit. Oh Lordy he hoped he didn't start word vomiting in front of his dad. That would lead to bruises if not lacerations and then people would ask questions to which he would respond, "it's nothing. I just got into a little brawl with a small bunch who intended to harm another for no real purpose besides their own greedy pleasure". He couldn't recall how many times he'd lied about how he was raised and just kept moving even though his body protested him doing as much. He'd always known his family would show no pity even if he were dying and so he bit back the pain and the sorrow and just kept moving. It was why most of the vampire nations had it to where if he'd ever approach even the smallest of squabbles they'd merely tell the enemy that they better hope to whatever they believed in that they could take him down quickly and in one strike for it was most likely the only chance they'd get at survival.

As soon as the topic of a dorm was brought up, Dragon's laughter descended into an occasional chuckle and finally a mumble here and there. His smile, too, had vanished and was flipped into the frown he wore when they first met, when he was still alone.
"I-I... I had a dorm..." he mumbled while looked down slowly. "But... my dormmate disappeared... like the others." Tears prickled his light brown eyes and his frown twitched as if to bite back his cries. "That was the fifth dorm...."
The idea of staying with Lurtz was tempting, and he wanted to much to accept such a generous offer, but if his friend hadn't vanished yet then he certainly would after dorming with him. He wasn't sure why people felt as though they had to abandon him, he tried so hard to please his dormmates. He avoided them to keep them from hating him, he cleaned, he cooked, he helped when they needed it.
But they just kept leaving.
Even the paranoid side of him expected Lurtz to be gone the next day.

Veronica hovered outside the door, sighing. She'd been wandering around campus all day and was hopelessly lost. Having grown up in an out-of-the way rural area, the complicated layout of the school grounds was especially confusing to her. Having a rather mediocre sense of direction didn't help. She'd heard people talking as she wandered by this particular door and intended on asking someone for help.
Swallowing her pride, her fist hovered before the door for a moment before she finally allowed herself to knock. I hope I'm not interrupting anything, she thought absently as she waited for a response.
/OOC: Hey, I hope I'm not swooping in at a bad time but I'm a little desperate to RP sometime since all my threads in other guilds are basically dead ._. If this is a bad time just ignore Veronica and she'll go away!/

So I keep bending 'till I break. "Then you can take up this room if you'd like. I have no real use for it anyways so it's fine with me if you occupy my guest room," the light blue haired male suggested cheerfully while hoping if he gave off a confident positive energy, Dragon would catch onto at least a little of it. He didn't think such a sweet young man should be so sad and lonely in as large a world as this one. He gently ruffled Dragon's hair when he heard a knock on his door only to stand back up. "Give it some thought and let me know when you've come to a decision. I'm gonna go see who's decided to come knock on my door and then I'll be right back."
He then padded softly out of the room Dragon was sitting in and to his door. Seeing as it was a girl standing outside his doorway from the peephole and he couldn't recall ever seeing her in his apartment complex, he opened the door. "May I help you?" he rumbled lowly while keeping his gaze on the ground yet showing that emotionless demeanor he'd been raised to keep in place. It wasn't like he wanted to seem mean, but he really wasn't supposed to open up to people because it meant that someone knew he could be sweet, sensitive and understanding.

Dragon smiled, though it was obvious he was still hesitant to share a place with anyone. Hearing the knock at the door, he snapped his head up to stare in its direction, wondering if it was Lurtz's father. Seeing a something shuffle out of his peripheral, Dragon turned his head to see the blue-haired man rise from his seat and leave for the door. He, himself, wanted to see who it was, but as soon as he even tried to move out of the bed his body remembered its loss of blood and forced him back down. He groaned lightly and felt the plush pillow cradle his neck, closing his changing eyes even though it did nothing to fix how dizzy he was.

The door opened and a blue-haired man opened the door, though he didn't seem happy. Veronica, immediately embarrassed, looked at the floor, and then remembered that could be considered rude and looked back up, trying to catch the man's eye. "Hi. Sorry, I hope I'm not interrupting anything," she started, sure that she'd made some horrible mistake. "I was actually looking for my room and it's supposed to be somewhere in this complex and we're apparently on the same floor because I'm pretty sure I got that much right... I'm new, and I'm really awful at directions, sorry." She held her breath, hoping once again that she hadn't intruded on a bad time. Her parents had taught her that manners always came first and foremost, and that deeply ingrained sense of respect for others was suddenly hitting her very hard.

So I keep bending 'till I break. This he wasn't expecting. Well not right this very second was he expecting someone to show up at his door. Having his sensitive hearing pick up on Dragon's groan, Lurtz wanted to just smack his head into the wall as he knew he'd gone a little overboard and yet the guilt just kept building up. "I see. Well, if you're sure this is the right building and proper floor, your place is probably the one just across the hall. It's the only one I haven't seen anyone enter on this floor and this is my first time seeing you in this building. What's your apartment though? Better to be safe than sorry," he responded while never letting a flicker of emotion pass across his face nor raising his gaze from the floor. What time was it even? He didn't need anyone else being put down and bullied by his dad. Briefly glancing at a clock he had sitting on the table near the door he inwardly let out a sigh. He still had about an hour.

Sleep was beginning to be tempting. It called to Dragon, beckoning him to close his eyes and let the blanket cradle him. He found himself reaching for the comforting darkness when he heard the girl's voice even from across the entire room. She sounded nice... a cute voice..... He bet she was pretty......... If only......... he could............. stay..................... awake.......
The exhaustion and darkness became persistent and coiled around Dragon's body, relaxing his muscles and taking his mind. Before the young man could even realize it, he had fallen asleep. Again.

Veronica offered a small smile, trying to be on her best behavior for the moment. She generally felt uncomfortable smiling at strangers, usually preferring to keep people at a distance, but she knew he was showing her kindness and it was well appreciated. She fished a small slip of paper out of her jeans pocket, reading out its contents. "My room is... 718?" She whirled around - the number plate read 718. "Wow, I'm so sorry, I wasn't thinking at all. God, it was right here." Embarrassed, she tucked her hair behind her ear and shifted her weight, a nervous tick.

So I keep bending 'till I break. "71-B," he corrected subconsciously while briefly pointing up at the 71-A on his door. "Um... Sorry. Force of habit. Looks like we're neighbors. I'm Lurtz Allÿwar, 71-A. Pleasure to meet you, Lady...?" Lurtz's hand slightly moved out from behind the wall he was slightly leaning against only to extend it out to the female. His light blue eyes finally shifted up to meet the woman's eyes although his brow raised slightly. An hour and his dad would be chewing him a new one, but this girl really didn't need to meet him. She was too nice. A little bad with directions, but still pretty and nice.

Veronica, embarrassed, adjusted her gaze to the floor. "I... Wow, that's really embarrassing. Sorry. Just, wow." She tried to brush it off, running a hand through her hair with a rueful expression on her face. "Veronica. Veronica van de Wille." She took Lurtz's hand, meeting his eyes. God, how could I... Obviously, 71-B... Ugh...

"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Lady Van de Wille. Don't worry about the slight bit of misdirection and misreading of the number as it happens to even the wisest on occasion. And if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask me for assistance," Lurtz responded in the same low, smooth rumble of a voice that remained as calm as his expression, gaze and body language. On the inside, however, he was glad Dragon had finally drifted to sleep. It was far better he gathered his strength back by resting.
Catching onto a familiar presence, he glanced briefly at the clock to see that he was early. Snap! "I'd suggest getting in your apartment within the next ten minutes though, milady. There's a rather rude man coming a bit earlier than he was supposed to," he murmured while briefly tucking a hair behind his ear. Yep. There was no mistaking it. His dad was coming early and that meant he was in an even worse mood than him just breaking a few rules. Lurtz's gaze quickly dropped back to the ground as he started steeling himself for a far more painful punishment than he would have gotten earlier. His life sucked...
