Really, she had no idea what it was going to do or the true purpose of it. Olivia had a basic notion of what it was to test, but she honestly didn't really think about the implications of a romantic compatibility. To her, it was all she just figured this machine was using science to see how well they got along on the most basic of levels. Not like the results would detour her in any way. She was more transfixed upon the machine as well.
And she was going to be able to stand closer to it (and maybe touch it?) She had seen another duo step from it, all filled with happiness and mirth and now it seemed to be their turn.
Olivia didn't mind the noise it made, how it chattered and clanged. It whirled about, hummed and steamed. It was fascinating. She stared in awe, her eyes gazing upward as it futzed about, watching as if she could see the current that was going to make it ding and come up with their results.
"This is neat..." Was all she could think of.
She hadn't noticed Andrew yet.

They weren't compatible. Secretly he was relived... but well he didn't know how well that rig worked. He couldn't get himself to walk over there though, feet stool frozen to the spot despite the warmth in his body. He wanted to say hello, but, nothing came out, instead he just stood there mutely.

"It's too loud." He whined lightly, waiting for the clicks, ticks, pops, and steam to finish up before walking away from it, ears still back against his head. He didn't really look at the results, which was probably good. Or he'd have suddenly had a bit to worry about. Seeing as that was about the case with his ability to make friends with anyone. Well at least he was consistent in something. Being bad with people. As soon as he'd scampered away enough to avoid any more loud bangs ringing in his head he glanced back in time to see... wow. That was bad right? Was that a look of concern at the reading he'd gotten? Yep, definitely bad. Well maybe it was a mistake, you know how could you rate an ability to get along with people with a machine. Then again... it could be accurate. He was pretty bad at talking with everyone, and well it was his brother that drug him out here. "Er..." He had nothing else to say and merely coughed a bit awkwardly, flicking his tail as he noticed... Hey the glitter was gone. Well that was a plus. Actually his head felt a lot more clear, and part of him was realizing how silly that had been. He really shouldn't have even considered getting in a machine like that. It was really good that it was a bad score right? It would have been really awkward if they'd come up close and people thought they should date or something. Right, this was good. It was really good that he... was terrible with everyone. ...right. And on another note, why was a burning demon looking at them? The boil gave Andrew something of an odd look before glancing off. Wasn't that the guy from the field trip? He was probably just boggled with the bad score. It wasn't that bad was it? PhantomPanther13 Rejoice, Molan is incompatible with EVERYONE.

Olivia couldn't help the giggle that came out after seeing how distressed Molan was over the machine. For such a proud and dignified looking demon as he was (well, to her and with what she had seen so far of him. He had been very picky about his clothing on the field trip after all), hearing him lose his composure and actually whine was actually rather funny.
Taking a glance at the results herself, Olivia took a moment to frown over them. They had gotten a large difference in their numbers and the description that went along with it seemed like a terribly bad reaction to boot. (And they didn't win anything, much more sadness). How accurate the machine was, or even how it had processed everything never occurred to her. "It just means we have to get to know each other better," she smiled. That's what she gathered from the results. Because that was how people became friends anyways, at least in her short experience.
The machine had been pretty neat though. Maybe they could do it again later, like they did with the darts. Or maybe she could find someone else to try it with for fun.
Speaking of. Molan seemed to be looking at someone, making Olivia turn her head in the same direction. Wasn't that, "oh. Andrew." Wasn't he on a date though, why was he standing there... Maybe he was waiting for the other ghoul?

He had been spotted. Abort abort! His tail flared up and took a step back shocked. what had he been expecting? of course they would notice him. he had a beacon on his tail after all! No don't run! he could do this. just go up, talk to her an say hi. Yes, that's all he needed to do. that and calm down his flames which was harder then it sounded. He glanced at his tail, glaring at it for a moment and willed it back down to a manageable level and then, waved pathetically at Olivia. "Hi." he managed. Raja We should put Andrew and Molan on that machine later.

Molan was sort of mourning that his failures as a proper social creature were on display until Olivia spoke up, giving mild hope to it. Right, well that did seem reasonable, and he offered a lightly nod to it, regaining some of his composure and sort of shrugging off the results. It wasn't that he wanted a high one, but he did dislike the though he really was as bad at this as he seemed. "That's true." He offered in reply slowly, returning the smile with a small one of his own before their attention turned elsewhere.
To the source of heat that had been watching them. Apparently Olivia knew him? Seeing as she called his name and he'd replied. Not a lot to say it seemed, but he wasn't sure what to do at that point. He sort of looked between the two, not sure if they were friends... or? Well he was on fire, it seemed unlikely, but maybe. He sort of wandered over, ignoring the machine in the background as he watched the pair unsure if he should leave. He sort of cast a look at the ghoul, seeing if he'd get some sort of cue that this was important and he should go elsewhere. As it was though, he had little to say, so only watched the pair fairly neutral to the whole situation. After all, he wasn't the one who needed to be near the flame demon. Nope, he was going to stand a few feet off and attempt to ignore the fact that demon was risking making the area remarkably uncomfortable.phantompanther13 As long as they managed to roll 100 and 1 biggrin /shot Otherwise Molan will cry a bit internally.

Alicia Firestar sorry this is so late! ; o; A blank stare was given to the results of their evaluation, clearly still not really understanding it. He couldn't say he felt any of these things that were being said about them. How odd... his brows began to collect again, until Millie spoke up, his gaze slowly sliding back over to her. His petite wings gave a slow flex as if he were mulling over the options she placed out for him. So many possibility's, but by his understanding she seemed rather keen on these.. darts. "I would not mind taking a try with throwing darts." he replied to her finally after perhaps too long of internal debating than was necessary. But he gave her a nod in confirmation, "Yes. Let us see what that game is all about." he had seen another game earlier that had... somewhat disturbed him. Whacking fluff's... it made his free hand clutch to his own thick, fluffy stole firmly, as if worried someone might come and try to pulverize it too!

Olivia hadn't realized just how much Molan was reading into their results, though from his short response there was a pick up of disappointment. He had smiled though, so many what she said made him a little happier with the outcome. At least he wasn't down trodden in that way, or he would be mournful for a long while due to her oblivious nature.
Which didn't help the approaching awkward flame demon at all either.
But here she was, caught between two demons who couldn't be more different than one another; yet still had their similarities. Neither of them sure if they were in each others' way, yet Olivia couldn't be more happier to have the extra company. Even if the new addition made her still really uncomfortable. She was keeping her distance, not as much as Molan though but took a few steps back for good measure, those flames ....
"You were with someone?" Olivia simply asked.

"Ahh, we were hanging out. She was looking for someone so we played some games together." he is hands came up and animated while he talked as if explaining with his mouth. He decided not to tell Olivia they had met at the kissing booth and what hanging out actually entailed. Besides it was just a little deal. "I... I'm not going to burn you you know..." he sighed, flame lowering though from intent or depression even he couldn't tell. Why did it have to be soo hard? he didn't mind the no physical contact portion of this... communication, but the backing away bothered him. "I promise I won't. I mean, as long as you don't go grabbing my tail or something." The only thing he had burned accidently was Miasma's cloths, and she, had grabbed him, so it wasn't that accidental at all.

Millie watched Vaska with a bit of concern. Millie guessed horsemen weren't really used to fun since he seemed a little slow but that was okay. Millie smiled at him warmly, now intent on trying to show this horseman what fun was. "Good." she stated as-a-matter-of-factly. "Let's go have fun then!" Taking his wrist as she had before, Millie led him around the crowd and towards the Haters booth. She didn't want him to get lost after all... there were some not so nice booths around.

He listened idly, eyes flicking between the pair. Obviously not that close, seeing as Olivia had backed away and their conversation suggested they didn't know each other that well? Apparently the other demon had been with someone, and then games? Hmm it all seemed normal enough for this event of sorts. Games in every booth and such. He idly flicked an ear at the vague reply, not really seeing much with it, but it didn't say much.
Though his next comment seemed directed mostly at Olivia, it did take to note something that should be said. "You're uncomfortably warm in general." He added, his tone as flat as he could manage, but there was still some annoyance in it. He just didn't like them. At all. He crossed his arms at that, tilting his head to one side. Being burnt was the least of his concerns really, the fact he was a walking talking heat source was never going to be pleasant for someone who enjoyed a nice cool climate. Preferably covered in snow the entire year. So frankly, he had little he wanted to do with this Andrew boil. He was merely tolerating him to be polite, since he seemed to be Olivia friend. And well he hadn't been given a look to suggest he should go?

He was very animated, she had to give him that as she watched him express more what they were doing than he cared to explain. Oh. So, not a date. Simply hanging out and wandering the booths and playing games, "did you have fun?" She asked him with a wry smile. What an ambiguous question that could turn out to be, without even knowing it.
The flames though. Well, Molan responded with a fair answer, in more of a gruff tone than she would have probably. She had hoped there had been an understanding when they first met, even though very few words about it had been exchanged. "Well, that," she added in nervously, "and... open flames ... are a bit worrisome in general." A candle didn't intend to hurt, but that didn't mean it couldn't after all.
Huh, that was a nice saying, she'd have to remember it.
It didn't mean she wanted him to go, and she hoped he didn't take it the wrong way.

"ahhh yeah... I know." he glanced at his tail, for the first time in his live really regretting that need for open flames. He couldn't help it after all. He needed the flames to live. He wasn't about to cute his tail off or something equally ridiculous. But Olivia's comment stung. "Oh... I guess, yeah I understand." His confidence from before was gone. "I can just... leave you alone if you want." The tail burned about as low as it had since he had come to the school, a mere crawl across his skin. He couldn't get any nearer, he knew that. And he was... just making them both uncomfortable. Maybe he should stick with braver creeple. Chirigami Totally takes it the wrong way

Apparently the boil somewhat got that it really was that fire that kept both back, as his tail dimmed. Or, that look on his face might have said something else. He seemed rather sheepish about them disliking him for it. Honestly, it wasn't his fault, but the fact remained. Fire and ice didn't mix. And well.. Olivia was sort of flammable. It wasn't the best of ideas to let him near her, it could end really poorly for them all. Since it seemed the boil had something of an interest in her? Again, he was basing that assumption on how downtrodden he seemed about not being well received. Well, nothing to be done really. "Just be careful." He replied, shrugging lightly. The following question was for Olivia, he didn't like the boil by default, but he wasn't the one the boil was there to see.
He could always leave if he didn't like it.
"It's up to Olivia." He finally added figuring it best to actually voice his opinion, tail flicking back and forth a bit bothered. No, he didn't like the other demon, but he could be fair. He just wasn't going to mask his agitation and pander away to say he was so very happy to have him along. That wouldn't have been like him at all.

She didn't get an answer from him, only a sad depressed look like she had physically kicked one of his mini pets. And Olivia didn't like it, she didn't want to see someone she knew looking so down especially when they had the potential to become a friend even with these unfortunate circumstances of what they were.
Andrew was ready to leave and Molan seemed to be happy to see him go, and Olivia honestly felt torn as she finally and firmly grasped the situation. Ice and fire, no... that didn't really work, did it. It was up to her, that's what Molan had told her but she didn't want any of them to be unhappy. "You don't have to go," she told Andrew.
"But.. maybe we can go look at the other booths together..." she suggested, "at a safe distance." Molan would probably prefer miles apart, from what she was gathering but maybe he wouldn't mind going along? And well, hanging out and getting to know Andrew might be nice for the both of them?
