Shun was keeping his eye on Mitsu, trying to get her to relax more. Even when they were sitting, she was being rather stiff. She wasn't panicking at least. But he would like her to settle down or else she might not be able to enjoy the music all too much.
Thankfully, it was then that the lights dimmed so that the focus could be set onto the performance. The conductor came out and bowed, and it was then that the murmurs from the audience became hushed.
A pause. Then the music began to play. The Reaper was listening, but for now he watched his lycan to make sure she was doing fine.

Every now and then as they waited Mitsu would glance up at Shun and give him a soft smile before focusing back on the program in front of her. As stiff as she was she was still anxious for the music to start and when the lights began to dim she ventured to lift her head and peek just slightly over the balcony at the Orchestra. The crowd below them went from hushed whispers to silence as the last of the instruments were tuned and ready.
For a split second there was nothing as the conductor lifted his arms looking over his Orchestra to make sure they were ready. Then, there was the first sounds of music. Soft at first and the notes subtly grew to fill the concert hall. Smiling Mitsu leaned in a little closer in her chair, her eyes closing as she took in each instrument. The winds and the strings worked in harmony as the drums kept the beat. The piano added to the mix and Mitsu's smile grew wider as her ears tilted to catch each and every note.
"It's beautiful." She whispered.

Once the music itself began, Shun could see the effect it had on her. It soothed her rather well, and it wasn't hard to tell that she was enjoying it so far. A subtle smile touched his lips as he saw her smile in turn.
"It is," he said quietly. The Reaper moved his arm from around her shoulder so that he could just grasp her hand instead.
As for the music itself, it wasn't quite his style at the moment, but it was still pleasant to the ears. The musicians down below were incredibly talented after all.

Mitsu remained silent during the duration of the song, her ears almost swaying in time with the music as she picked up on the notes and the different instruments. Shun's arm had lifted from around her but she could feel his hand slipping into her's shortly after. Giving it a light squeeze she didn't say another word but listened to the music as it washed over her.
Once the first song was over she opened her eyes and gave an applause along with the rest of the audience but there was soon silence again as the Orchestra began to play something faster and upbeat. It was so different to hear something more modern with classical instruments.

Shun gave her hand a squeeze in turn as he leaned back in his chair to enjoy the performance. He applauded lightly when the time came, but quickly settled back. It was a relaxing experience to say in the least, not like rock concerts. Then again, while those tended to have greater energy, he hated the crowds that came with them.
This was just fine.
The next song that came up was on the softer side, though it was a fairly well known piece from a movie series about an epic journey. Based on a book. Come to think of it, it was the audio book that he had picked up for the two of them once.

Closing her eyes again as she listened to the song Mitsu could just imagine the tale being told through the notes. "It makes you think of the story we read doesn't it?" She asked softly. It was a calm and soothing piece but she could just picture the characters on their grand adventure. The story had been so exciting to listen to.
When that piece ended and another began Mitsu noticed the shift in mood. While this piece was a little more upbeat it had a sadder note to it. The surprising part was it actually had some vocals though few and far between. It tugged at her a little and made her open her eyes again, if only to look up at Shun in the meantime.

It seemed that Mitsu had the same thought. Shun nodded quietly to her comment, then looked back towards the musicians as the next piece came up. There was something a little somber about the tune, though it was also familiar. Turning towards his lycan, he noticed that she was looking to him. His gaze softened and he squeezed her hand gently before letting go briefly.
'I-will-do-anything-for-you' he managed to sign to her, along with the music, before taking her hand once more.
The next song in line was a more orchestral and bold version of the tune found within the music box that he had given her. The very same tune he once hummed along to her to try and ease her fears.

She smiled again as Shun signed to her along with the music. Nodding she leaned into him affectionately wanting to let him know the same. She would do anything for him as well.
Staying leaned against Shun, Mitsu left her head resting on his shoulder for the duration of the song until it ended and a familiar tune filled the air. Lifting a bit she immediately placed the music as the song in her music box though much for elaborate than what she was used to hearing.
Turning to Shun she quickly signed. 'Do you hear?' She edged a little further forward in her seat as if it would allow her to hear better, her ears tilted completely forward to give the Orchestra her full attention. This song struck her deeply and reminded her of comforting things like Shun's voice as he hummed to her, the way he held her, the way pudding tasted (when she got any), and of Milo curled up in her lap.

As she leaned against him, Shun gently rested his head against hers until she lifted her head slightly. Seeing her signed out question, he quietly nodded to her. There was no doubt to him it was the same song. It didn't quite have the same meaning to him as it did for her, but it still resonated with the Reaper quite strongly. It bolstered his feelings about wanting to keep her safe. He wanted her to feel like she doesn't need to fear.
He wanted to give her strength to push through these rougher moments in her life. To protect her.
Once more, he gripped her hand. He was here for her. Always.

Intertwining her fingers with her reaper she relaxed back in her seat as she listened to the song. She often listened to the music box as she laid down at night in her own dorm. It helped enough to relax her enough to rest but never to sleep. Only Shun's presence was enough to really calm her for that. Still, this song was very dear to her. The music box was one of her most precious items because it gave her an illusion of Shun's presence even if he wasn't there.
Squeezing his hand lightly in return she simple closed her eyes. She knew he would always be there and that's what had allowed her to get as far as she had.
When the song finally ended there was a bit of a pause and Mitsu opened her eyes and looked down at the Orchestra to see people stepping on stage with electric guitars. Without too much hesitation they began to play carrying the song as they played a familiar classic with a much heavier and modern twist to it.

As the song faded out to another, Shun looked back to see the orchestra pick up on something familiar yet new at the same time. He recognized the tune as being something from the classics, but it definitely had a modern twist to it. He could enjoy this a little more the standard version.
If he had an electric guitar, he might try to play a version of this, but he was happy with his two acoustics.
What came afterwards was also darker in tune that also utilized the electric guitars that had been on stage from the previous song. It wasn't something he particularly had heard before, but it sounded interesting. There was also something about the song in general...
He wasn't really sure what it was exactly, but he just enjoyed it quite a bit.

As the orchestra slipped into playing something different Mitsu couldn't say she recognized the song either. It was a curious piece that had her heart pounding like she expected something exciting to happen. Her eyes tilting toward Shun she smiled seeing his subtle reaction. He wasn't the most expressive person but he had his own way of showing his enjoyment.
That song lapsed into another and then one more before the lights came up and an intermission was announced. It was only then that Mitsu seemed to recall how high they were. She wanted to stretch and stand from her seat but it seemed like an awful lot of effort for such a dangerous action.
"So what do you think so far?" She asked quietly.

When the lights brightened for intermission, Shun blinked as his eyes readjusted before he turned towards Mitsu.
"It's pretty enjoyable. It isn't entirely what I expected, but in a good way. What about you?"
He was more interested in her answer, since he had brought her out here. Though, she had seemed like she was liking this experience quite a bit. Still, it was good to ask anyway. While he waited, he stood up briefly to stretch out. They had been sitting for awhile and they weren't quite done with the concert yet.

"I'm glad to hear." Maybe a part of Mitsu was worried Shun would only endure this concert for her so it was nice to know he was enjoying some parts of it. It wasn't a normal orchestra though she would have enjoyed that just the same. There was just something exciting about the addition of newer instruments and playing everything to a faster beat. It turned to calm and soothing into something more exhilarating.
When asked in return how she felt about the concert she nodded. "I really like it. I'm glad you brought me." Watching Shun stand and stretch Mitsu looked to her own chair and then glanced at the balcony's edge. She hesitated for a moment before she finally dared to stand her motions a little stiff until she was finally out of her seat.

Shun noticed that Mitsu was a little stiff as she stood up, though he figured it was due to the fact that they were still pretty high up. He remained standing in the meantime, figuring it might help her be a little more at ease. It was highly unlikely that she would topple over, but he was there just in case.
At her words, his expression softened.
"I'm glad you are enjoying this as well. I.. figured you would like this."
It wasn't something they normally did, but it still wasn't all too bad.
"I still have one other thing planned once we're through here."
That was all he was going to say on that. Just a little teaser.
