Jericho's golden eyes lit up a bit at that plan.
"Good idea! You're thinking ahead. That's very smart," he complimented while nodding. As they went around the store, he peered over at the outfit she had picked out first hand.
"That doesn't look too bad. Sure. Let's do it."

Riley paused at the compliment. Of course I think ahead. That's one of my many charms. She handed him the suit. Could you try it on first? I'd like to know what size fits you best, right now. Then I can buy up from there.
After handing him the suit, she started to flick her hand through the racks for anything else that could catch her eye.

"Right away!"
Snatching up the suit, Jericho practically pranced on towards the fitting rooms so he could try it on. Several minutes later, he came back out.
"Perfect fit! Well... for now at least. You have a good eye," he nodded while holding up the outfit so that they could hold onto it in the meantime.

She did have a good eye. Or, more specifically, she was able to tell by a glance what a person's size should be. When he returned with clothing that fit, Riley nodded in approval, and then picked out the two higher sizes of the outfit. She did the same with her second outfit, along with taking the size that he was at now. Armed with the five outfits, she led him to the counter, and set them down.
I'll take these five, plus the suit he's wearing out. From out of nowhere (there couldn't possibly be pockets in that outfit..) she pulled out a slim card, and handed it over.
This is my first credit card. Riley informed him proudly. That is to say, the first one I applied for on my own, that is not attached to my hive. I haven't had a chance to use it, before today. She looked so pleased about it.

Jericho peered over at the card that Riley had procured, before smiling up at her. She seemed to be pretty pleased about being able to use it. "Congrats! Just remember to be responsible. Credit card debt it horrid. Even in Christmas." he said with a sagely nod. Though, he soon went and hugged her legs. "Thank you though. It'll be nice to have some clothes that aren't too tight on me."

Responsible. He was trying to make sure she was responsible. Did elves worry and fuss much about responsibility? Her eyes flickered in amusement to ask the question, but the words were caught in her metaphorical throat when he hugged her. She looked down at the boil, and her hand reached up, moments away from brushing his hair fondly. The hand froze an inch before touching him, and her eyes thinned, conflict warring in her expression.
In the end, the cashier made the choice for her. She handed Riley the card, and the bag, and Riley used her hands to take them both. She turned, and wrapped one arm around Jericho's shoulders, hugging him lightly to her.
Anything for you, Jericho. She whispered quietly, leading him out of the store.
Now, let's head home. Malodore left us some delightful meat I plan to cook up, and I'm starving.

Jericho didn't catch this conflict at all as his face was pretty much buried into Riley. Though, he soon stepped back and smiled up at the demon. Since they were done here, he nodded and went on with her to head back home.
"I hope there's candy too!" he said happily.
