Maya had left to go see two little orphans that she had rescued a few year back. Sasha who was about five or six came up to Efren and looked at him but then she saw Maya and ran over to her and hugged her leg. "I missed you big sis. Did you bring me anything today? Maya had no smile on her face but she pulled out a handmade doll and gave it the girl. "Here to add to your collection.You have bee good girl right?" Sasha nodded as a nine year old boy came up. "There you are Matthew. I have something for you as well." She pulled out a wooden sword. "This is so you can protect the younger kids from the bugs and mice. that are here." "You will bring me real one like yours soon right?" Maya just looked at him. "Wait until you are a bit older and have practiced and then I might get you a real one."

Maya stood up and that was when she noticed Efren and Ash. She walked over to Efren. "Look Efren, if that is your name, I am sorry if I out hunted you earlier. I don't mean to out hunt anyone and that includes you. It's just that I want to prove to myself that I am better at hunting the five years go." She looked over to Sasha, who was playing with her doll, and Matthew, who was praticing with the wooden sword. She suddenly started to tremble. She could see a flash back of her own siblings playing which is something she did not want to see. She ran past Efren and climbed up a near by tree and on to a roof. The women who owned the orphanage came over to see what happended knowing the story of why Maya acted this way.

"Poor girl. She was from this town before the zombies attacked. Her father was Mayor and she had at least two or three siblings that were Sasha and Matthew's age. She watched her parents and her two brothers and sister die all in the same day. She however did not cry from them for the memory was to much so she began to trained herself in hopes that she could avenge them. Over time though she continued to train and then one day she found these two kids and they were being attacked. It almost cost her her life trying to save them. The strange thing is that she goes through these episodes where she will see little Abby and either Josh or Edward instead of Sasha and Matthew. The strangest part is that she still comes and visits them every day even though she knows she will have these episodes.

Maya watched from the roof as Efren talked to Ash. She head back to her place and changed. She then heads off to the market to get some food. Her hair was down and almost was unrecognizable. She sat down under a tree and began to eat. She took out a needle and medical thread and began to stich up her wound.

Efren thought for a moment of something that she could to that wouldn't be too much. "If you'd like you can boil some water and make sure the children get a bath while I make some strew for dinner." He answered her. There were a lot of other things that needed to be done, but it was still helpful to get something done faster.

Ash smiles some and started her work. It gave her a good feeling to help people, especially children. She always had a weakness for kids.
She looks over to Efren, "my name is Ash by the way."

Ash smiles some, seeing Efren playing with the girl. Hearing someone crying, she looks over and sees a little boy, around the age of five, and goes over to him. "What's wrong little guy?" She asks, kneeling down to him.
"I miss my mommy." He says, still crying.
Knowing the loss of someone, she soft pets the boy's head, "it's okay to miss her, but I don't think your mommy would want you crying all the time. I'm sure your mommy would want you to live happily, now that we're in a safe zone, away from the monsters, she would want you to live every day happily." Ash says and that made the boy feel better. He hugs Ash, surprising the girl, thanking her, and goes running off with some of the other kids.

Ash look over at Efren and then quickly looks away, red in her face. She didn't know what was going on in her head but seeing a guy taking care of children...it was a rare trait to find in a male.
She goes and helps the children take baths, making sure they were squeeky clean.

Efren looked at the woman. "Have you heard the news? I heard they are going to require all young people to marry. This town is not going to grow any bigger until we can repopulate the planet I guess." He commented as he say Maya come down from the roof.
