Taking the bowl, Shun turned himself so that he was facing Mitsu more. Just in case she needed to sign some more things to him.
"Shinpai ja nai," he said quietly. He just felt like throwing in Japanese because she was signing. Might as well have her practice her comprehension too.
"You won't be without pudding forever."
((He said, don't worry))

Mitsu's ears tilted this way and that as he spoke Japanese. It took her a moment to realize what he said but she all but wilted against the bed. No, she was going to be without pudding. Forever. She might as well face the cold hard truth now. There was no pudding. It was just a word.
'I don't think I can change.' Mitsu finally signed out for him. It was nearly a programmed response. She knew she shouldn't be afraid but before she knew what her body was doing she was retreating and panicking.

"Again, that's what you said about being able to leave your room. You thought you could and would stay there forever," Shun retorted though his voice took a little bit of a darker turn, "Don't even think about giving up on me. You've already promised. To change, you have to work towards it."
There was only so much he could do for her with this. He really could only provide the means, but she had to have the will. It was on her to break the fear. He couldn't do that for her.

'This is a different feeling.' She signed. True leaving her room had been a fear but it didn't strike her in the same way. It didn't leave her breathless and shaking and unable to do anything other than run. She had been afraid to leave her room because of what the outside world could hold she feared knives because of what they had done to her.
Her ears folded back slightly at her scolding, her eyes drifting back to the floor. It was true, she had promised and she didn't want to just give up but she couldn't see herself getting passed it. Getting over her fear of heights seemed like a far lesser evil.
'I will try. That's all I can promise.'

"You can and will get over this..." Shun said more softly. Finishing this current mixture, he went on and placed the cup into the refrigerator so that he could chill it.
"I need to go to the store to pick up some things. I'll be back soon," he said as he went to grab his jacket and put his boots on. Walking over towards his lycan, he kissed her gently on the lips.
"I believe in you," he whispered, then got up to head out.

Mitsu didn't look entirely convinced but nodded all the same, watching Shun put his current mixture in the refrigerator. It seemed like today was going to be a lazy day of pouting and butt hurt.
At the mention of the store Mitsu rose slightly but it seemed Shun was just going on a short trip. Or at least what he would probably prefer to be a short trip. With her along it would take them a while to get to and from where ever they went. So with a nod and a soft kiss in return Mitsu curled back up on the bed with Milo and watched Shun take his leave. Hopefully he wouldn't be gone to long.
Before Shun left Mitsu held up her hand her thumb, forefinger, and pinkie extended with her middle and ring finger pressed toward her palm. 'I love you.'

"I love you too," he said, then disappeared out the door.
It was planned to be a short trip, but before he could even reach the store, the Reaper had found himself in the Haunted House. Worse yet, he encountered Candace. Mitsu may have noticed that his daggers vanished from the desktop as he needed them to fight.
Several hours had gone by, before Shun finally returned, looking worse for wear. He had been knocked unconscious, and then upon waking, he needed to go to Cricket before coming on home.
He also didn't have any bags with him. Not only that, but he didn't look particularly happy either.
"That did not go as planned..." he muttered under his breath while gingerly removing his coat and boots.

Mitsu had remained flopped on the bed, her eyes focused on the blades that Shun had left behind. She could feel herself getting jittery, her eyes seeing beyond the room and back at the hunter's lab. It wasn't just some nightmare she could wake up from. It had happened, it was real just like the scars across her arms, torso, and throat.
But...
How long would she allow them to keep her caged after she had escaped? They still had power over her though more so than even Mitsu realized. Sitting up from the bed she never once glanced away from the daggers as if staring them down. Maybe today....she could try again. Maybe she could get one step closer.
Keeping her eyes on her target Mitsu swung her legs around and rose from the bed. Her legs were already unsteady as she focused on what she wanted to do. One step and her heart was pounding painfully in her chest. Another step and she felt her strength begin to wane like it was being suppressed like it had on the island. The third step she could not take and Mitsu stumbled back like she had previously, holding her head as she shook.
No no no! She had to get a hold of herself. If she tried hard enough she could get passed this. Shun was sure she could do it and he wouldn't lie to her.
Taking another deep breath Mitsu turned toward the desk again a little more determined but....the blades were gone. The lycan nearly fainted on the spot, woozy at the thought that they had a mind of their own. Barely keeping herself from dropping to the floor, wide crimson eyes swept the room but the daggers were no where to be found.
Was Shun back already? Had he slipped in and moved the daggers to a different location or...had he desummoned them? There were multiple possibilities and none of them really put her mind at ease.
Finally braving up Mitsu made her way to the desk to verify that yes the daggers were in fact gone. Her pudding was unguarded and it would still remain untouched as she worried about what it meant.
Pacing the room, Mitsu checked the door every few minutes, peeking outside and walking to the edge of the hall to glance down the staircase. There was no sign of her reaper and he had been gone quite a while now. What should she do? It was only supposed to be a short trip to the store but instead several hours had passed leaving Mitsu afraid that this was the day Shun wasn't going to return to her. Something had happened.
She was nearly in hysterics by the time Shun finally got back to his dorm. The last several minutes had been spent sending out texts trying to locate him of which about fifty were to Shun himself along with some missed calls and a few voice mails. It was probably to no surprise to some that as soon as she laid her eyes on Shun she started to cry, jumping to her feet and running toward him so that she could embrace him despite how sore he probably was.

As much as Shun loved and enjoyed Mitsu's embraces, right now that sort of thing was a little painful. He grimaced and tensed for the moment as she hugged him, but relaxed as much as he could and held her close.
"Sorry I took so long... I.. ran into trouble."
He did get her calls and such, but he was almost home so he hadn't picked them up. Resting his head onto her shoulder, he closed his good eye. He sounded tired. Potentially a little disheartened. He was definitely worn down, and had a few new injuries to boot.
But he didn't explain himself just yet. He just wanted a moment to hold onto his lycan as he went over the incident in his mind. She was so glad to see him. No doubt because he had worried her. The Reaper really only meant to be gone shortly. And surely she had noticed his daggers vanishing too. In the future he was going to need to leave his kitchen knife out to guard the pudding... just in case he needed his actual blades.
He was brooding mentally. A number of things running through him.

Mitsu had noticed he tensed but wasn't quite willing to let him go just yet. She held on tightly only pulling back once Shun apologized. "Wh-" Her voice squeaked out forcing her to pull back completely so that she could sign what she wanted to say.
'What happened?' She looked him over, accessing his injuries. Had he gotten in a fight? Had he been ambushed? Was it hunters or had it been his father? Either party wasn't completely out of the question.
'Rest. Rest.' She signed shooing him toward the bed so that he could lay down.

Shun brought up a hand to signal he was going to tell in a moment. He went ahead and removed his shirt for now, given how it was a little messed up from the fight. Underneath, he had several bandages, mostly around his midsection. As he was herded towards the bed, he gingerly sat down and let out a breath. This wasn't going to sound good.
"I somehow ended up at the haunted house before I could reach the store. It didn't take long before I realized I wasn't alone there either. Candace was in there," he murmured before looking away.
"The fight didn't go well. I felt like she was treating me as a child. No real threat."
He shook his head and looked over his hands.
"I don't understand it. I train every day. I'm always trying to improve. Why am I so far behind?"
He was glad Mitsu hadn't been there to see him like that. Beaten down with relative ease. How the hell is he supposed to keep her safe like this?

Hesitantly Mitsu tried to help Shun remove his shirt so he wouldn't have to strain himself so much, fretting over his bandages now that they were in view. Helping him toward the bed Mitsu sat down beside him, touching the bandages around his midsection. He must have been hurt badly to get treated before he came back to the dorm.
Her eyes grew large at the mention of the haunted house and Mitsu jumped to her feet when Shun said Candace was there. She looked frightened and obviously uneasy. Why was she there? Had she lured Shun there? Were they trying to take him away from her and turn him into a weapon?
Mitsu was so panicked she couldn't even sign correctly, her hands were shaking and nothing was making any sense. She was trying to tell Shun that the hunter's were crafty, that even though she had been strong it hadn't mattered. It was hard to tell him how afraid she was at that moment but it wasn't hard to see in how she was acting. The news had her beyond frazzled. She didn't want him to leave again, it wasn't safe beyond their rooms.

Shun watched as Mitsu was trying to sign to him, but he wasn't getting anything clear from her motions. He frowned and took her hands gently into his own. He could tell that she was scared, but didn't really know what she was trying to say.
"I don't think Candace knew I was there until I had revealed myself. I have no idea why she had been there but... I had been knocked unconscious and she was gone when I woke up. She probably thought I was just.. some toy to smack around before going on her way."
He closed his eye and let out a slow breath.
"I just... I need to get strong.." he murmured before flopping down. He winced with the movement.

Soon Shun had taken her hands to keep her from trying to sign, her fingers gripping his tightly while she shook. The concern and worry was evident in her eyes and another thought crossed her mind. Was Candace trying to break Shun? Make him desperate enough to get stronger he might resort to anything? Mitsu didn't think it would come to that but it didn't make her worry any less. She didn't want him to be taken, she wouldn't be able to handle it if he went missing.
As he flopped down on the bed Mitsu shook her head, following after him so that she could wrap her arms gently around his torso and hide her face in his shoulder. The thought of them taking him was scarier than anything she had to face. Even this fear of knives couldn't compare. The mere thought that he could have easily vanished today was enough to make her cry.

As she buried her face into his shoulder, Shun closed his eye and gently wrapped his arms around her.
"I'm alright.. I'm here..." he whispered before thinking, "Maybe working for the Family won't be too bad... it could give me the training that I need. I want to be able to protect you Mitsu..."
He didn't really know what to do. But he was feeling pretty pathetic right now. Would the Family even really take someone so worthless?
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry I'm so weak.." he said quietly. His mind was racing. How could he protect Mitsu when he could barely defend himself against the hunters? The Reaper shook his head slowly before gently trying to sit back up, moving Mitsu so that he could do so.
"I.. I need to work harder.. maybe I need to change my regime. I need to do something..."
Was he considering trying to go train right now despite his wounds? Quite possibly.
