Nuru whined throatily as conflict tugged him in two directions. On one hand, he was scared and a bit distrustful of the whole situation... on the other, he had promised Zar that he would do everything he could to help him get better. Nuru was anything but a lying coward who would desert someone he loved... There was that grating whine again. He silenced it under a deep breath and a softly sighed word, "Fine..."

"Don't whine. If you're gunna do somethin' for someone you claim to care about, give it your all." Otto reprimanded, raising a brow. "You can leave at any time, yanno." After all, no point in weaponising them if they werte going to kick and scream. They needed to want to do it. And right now, he was pretty sure the dog kid didn't even know what they were planning for him.
"Come on, I'll take ya to see the labs..." His eyes narrowed as they rested back at Rep and Harrison.
Good opportunity to test out his non existant Death skills, they said. It'd be good for you, they said.
Bastards.

"Yeah... yeah... ah know..." Nuru slowly followed after Otto. Resisting the strong urge to try and reach for his hand. He wasn't sure he could trust he wouldn't flip his jacking jack yet. He turned to give Rep and especially Harrison one last scolding look. No cure yet. Why would he lie about that?

Rep was impressed by the fact Otto hadn't yet managed to upset the freak to the point he'd turn around and head right back out of the portal.
In return for the narrowed look, Rep simply smiled and waved.

Okay, so he'd play tour guide for now, distract this tall beasty while he contact the powers that be on what the ******** to do. He stopped near the labs, watching a bunch of lab techs do what they do best: no ******** clue. Lab techs were weird. "Lemme just see if we got clearance.. gimme a sec." Otto part lied. He whipped out his cell and began typing. "Look through the window for now, if you're curious. Not sure what those guys are doing but I'm sure its important."Zoobey Message from Otto:Mark, I got a candidate from Rep and Harrisson. He don't seem hostile but he thinks he's here to find a cure for Insanity for his boyfriend. What do I do with him? I got him by the labs right now; pretending to be a damn tour guide. Send help or advice as soon as possible.

Nuru obediently did exactly that; pressed his face against the glass in an attempt to peer inside at the technicians scurrying about doing technician things. Not that he understood one iota what those things were. At least, so far, no one has attempted to attack him.

Roughly almost half an hour later, a rather short girl with black hair wrapped up in a high ponytail, wearing nothing even resembling a Hunter coat - unless Balenciaga shoes and Valentino black-lace button-up shirts were Hunter attire these days. On one sleeve however, was a familiar emblem: one that anyone with an iota of brain power would recognize as that of a Division Specialist.
She stopped in front of Otto, sizing him up, frowning a bit as if either displeased with his state of attire, the whole situation, or maybe the fact she was a little shorter. "Just so you know," she hissed, "Mark, sent me, which means one of you is in a lot of trouble, as soon as we're done with whatever clueless d**k sent him a text about weapons candidate-" She finally noticed Nuru. "Wow. Impressive." Sarcasm. "A whole team of needed to guard a single student from that coveted Amityville school. Oh, he must be so fierce. I can totally see why you need me here."

Nuru was cluelessly enjoying the view of little techies scurrying here and there and then suddenly all to one side as something seems to randomly explode and then all back again to assess the damage. His tail swished side to side giddily before suddenly another hunter approached. Or was she just human? She seemed to lack the... uh... what? "Weapon wha'?" Nuru's gaze shot back to Otto almost expectantly.

<******** hindsight, he should have contacted a Lifer. Oops. Big oops. Now not only did he feel like an idiot, their cover was about to be blown. Otto's eyes rolled into the back of his head, a hand coming up to pinch the bridge of his nose. He really hated getting sized up like this, even if for once someone actually did have to look up at him to do it. "He ain't a weapons candidate." He lied to the specialist, trying to somewhat quell the possible s**t storm. "He's volunteered to help with Insanity s**t. Sorry, I texted the wrong number."

"Who did you say you were again?" She held up a hand before Otto could finish, "Oh that's right, noone. Do I look like someone who enjoys eating out of the hands of Life geeks, because in case you couldn't tell, you summoned the wrong specialist, genius." Sam thumbed to her left. "The insanity experiment lab is down that way and by the wall, tell Mark he can go screw himself, because that's the only thing he'll ever end up with."
She paused just enough to pull out a pack of cigarettes. "However if you can't find the Life labs you're always free to change your mind." She gave Nuru a sort of amusement, "If you really want to help us like you said, then there is only one real way. But, I guess if real answers are not you big thing...."

Nuru watched Otto intently with wide bewildered eyes. Otto however, was so very careful in explaining the situation. He easily quelled the panic that slowly crept to the surface in the barghest. A barghest that quickly decided he wasn't hugely fond of this woman. But at least she seemed more... direct. Nuru gave Otto one last seeking glance before turning his attention fully on the woman, "Real ansahs? Ah wan' real ansahs. Especialleh if they help t'cure t'insaniteh." Nuru's floppy ears twitched forward on top of his head, he was listening and she had his full attention now.

I hate my life.<>While the student's panic was quelled for now, he still had a bitchy superior to deal with, who basically just called him a nobody. Worse part of it was he had nothing to prove himself otherwise. A fancy new coat didn't make him good at anything. Well, she certainly had a handle on the situation, albeit begrudgingly. Otto wanted to take back his hold of it, however.. what did he knew, really? All he could do was lie and pretend to know what he was doing. He'd been thrust into this without being given a plan or guidelines. Maybe real hunters would have known what to do... Otto remained silent, crossing his arms over his chest. He didn't know how to do anything but follow orders. He didn't know what to do on his own.

Sam had a hard time not laughing at the miffed aura Otto was giving off - oh, this was just too easy. There was a saying they had for those kind of Hunters, the Fresh With Their Coats kind.
"Of course you want real answers," She said patronizingly, all but dripping overly saturated sweetness to Nuru, "We all want answers don't we? Big, revealing secrets, and I'll tell you one right now." The Death Hunter leaned a little closer. "I bet I know more answers than the whole pack of them over there, in fact, I bet I know how to cure your friend." An equally overly-sweet follow up smile. "So how about it, spending some alone time with just you and me. I'll tell you everything I know."
A moment passed where she just sort of expected Otto to scoot off in embarassement, which wasn't an uncommon situation involving her internal affairs. It was actually more amusing that this clueless kid stayed and attempted to look important. Cute, almost. She could use a temporary bus boy. Sam gave a snort and a very light tilt of her head. "Are you coming with the big league sweetie and learn some tips about your division or are you going to glare a hole into the wall behind me?"
She had already booked off the next available interrogation room as she waited.

Nuru felt a bit conflicted. On one hand there was just something... deceptive here setting him on edge, but on the other... she had answers. He listened intently as she leaned in, turning a bit more pinkish about the cheeks (which was really purplish). He almost looked ill until she mentioned a cure. At that point, he simply looked surprised and then extremely eager, "Y-yes! Please!" There was a pleading look somewhere in his glowing red eyes. Eyes that shifted on Otto when he too was addressed.

He was seething. This woman was the worst kind of condescending, belittling him at every turn. And she knew it pissed him off. Sure, he could scoot away and sulk about it, or he could take some begrudging pointers. It was in his best interest to learn. More like drill a hole in the back of yer head--<<Otto.>>"Yeah I'm comin'..." He mumbled with an icy glare.
