Mitsu nodded approvingly at Kettil's choice. Pudding was always a good option. "But I want to." Mitsu assured about paying. She wasn't the richest person but she could certainly pay for pudding and an iced tea.
When the waiter walked off to fill their order Mitsu was left in a sort of silence. Before she could have probably came up with small talk but since she hadn't been around the other students a lot she was at a loss about what to talk about.
Milo wasn't much help with the conversation, now that the menu was gone he was busy sniffing and nosing whatever was close by which was really only a couple of napkins and silverware. It was never a lost cause though, one never knew when small morsel of food might pop up.
"So....what kinds of things should we look for to give to Freya?" Maybe that would be an easier topic to stick with. Mitsu didn't know much about what Freya liked.

Kettil let out a grunt and nodded a bit, "Fair 'nough I guess. If you insist anyways," the boil relented after a couple of moments. Something about his body language said he was going to try and be sneaky about the whole payment thing, in some manner. Better keep an eye on him, Mitsu.
He watched Milo amusedly for a moment before eventually he went into one of his pouches and brought out a small treat he usually saved for Endzela. He offered it up to the Foxfire, "Here ya go buddy. If it is good enough for an owl then it is good enough for you~."
Her question made him focus his attention back to Mitsu, "Hmmm! She likes clothes, jewelry, owl themed things..."

And it certainly was good enough for the little foxfire. Milo devoted his entire being to focus on Kettil as he brought the treat toward him, his little tail wagging a mile a minute. If it went any faster he was likely to take off. His tongue started to jut out licking at the air long before the treat was close enough to consume and once it was Milo was in foxfire heaven. He loved treats. Treats were amazing. Omnomnomnom.
"Hmmm.." Mitsu tried to give Kettil's suggestions some thought. She wasn't that great with fashion and the only jewelry she really wore was what Shun had given her. That left owl themed items and she tried to think of where she had seen some. "Oh! When I went to the toy store a while back they had an owl plushie." She tried to think of other things they might find, maybe even combining his suggestions. "Maybe we can find a necklace with an owl charm." It was probably the most talkative she had been so far while she decided on this gift. She wanted to make sure it was something nice.

The reaction from the Foxfire apparently pleased the Muut so greatly that he chuckled and presented another treat for it to nom once it was finished with the first one. It was likely all Kettil was going to give the creature for now - he didn't want the owner to be upset with him.
He was listening to Mitsu's input and grinned a bit, "She likes plushes and jewelry very much indeed," he said cheerfully and seemed to lapse into a small bit of silence. Let's see what else could he offer for help? As he was pondering the waiter came by with their drinks uttering quiet assurances that the pudding was forthcoming in a few moments.
Kettil wiggled a bit in his seat. YEY PUDDING.
"I am sure we'll find something she'll love. I think as long as it came from the heart she'd love it," he said quietly with a smile.

Milo's front feet began to do a sort of happy dance against the table as Kettil produced another treat. The little foxfire could barely contain himself as he stretched out as much as he could so that he could intercept the treat and gently take it from Kettil's hold. Once it was in his mouth though it was gone in an instant.
Mitsu didn't seem to mind the treats, she had given Milo far worse things to eat. It seemed to be fine as long as it was done in moderation. Patting the little foxfire as he chowed down on his treat she gave their gift selection more thought. "I like plushies too. I think we could find something really cute." And maybe they could find something else to go along with the plushie! Who knew but the prospect of gift shopping seemed to have brightened the lycan's mood since Kettil had found her. Getting stuff for others always made her happy.
When the waiter approached Mitsu went silent again taking the water that was offered but noted there was no pudding. Her ears pivoted forward at his reassurances and it seemed to be enough for Mitsu to patiently wait a little longer. Much like Kettil she was excited about pudding, her tail wagging slightly beside her in her seat.
"So..umm...what are the types of things do you like?" They had spent a bit of time talking about Freya but Mitsu knew very little about the reaper sitting next to her other than he was friendly and helpful.

"I am sure we can find many things for Freya," he said as he just simply stretched out his fingertips toward Milo now to play with the small pup with a bit of a grin. "Come to think of it, I remember givin' Freya a plush that looked like a small white wolf a couple weeks ago. She loves it so."
Kettil glanced over at Mitsu and smiled, "Ah! Lotsa things. I like to make beaded jewelry an' I like to go fishin'," he said almost immediately. "I also I like to do a bit of the acrobatics and battle trainin'. Just anythin' and everythin' I guess. I even like tryin' out new stuff!"
After a few moment the waiter came around with small covered bowls and set them down at the table for the pair, "Here ya go."

Milo was so excited about playing his front feet began to dance against the table again. He just couldn't contain the happy. Tilting her head as Kettil explained about the things he liked a few things seemed to catch her interest. " S-Shun likes battle training too. And...acrobatics sorta." Though he called it something else. Par-something. " But you go fishin'?" She couldn't help but say it like he had leaving off the g. " Like..actually catch fish to eat?" Mitsu had never done such a thing. Though her outdoor activities had been rather limited until Amity. " Is it fun?" Soon though pudding arrived and Mitsu's eyes got wide and excited as she stared at the covered dish. Nearly wiggling in her seat she picked up her spoon before turning to the waiter with sparkly eyes. " Thank you~"

Kettil laughed at Milo's antics. Hands gently fluffed the firefox's fur as he kept an open ear toward Mitsu and the things she wished to say. "Huh! I'll have to keep that in mind and maybe ask him about that the next time I see him," he said thoughtfully. At the topic of fishing he nodded with a lot of enthusiasm, "Yeah! Well, I think it is fun anyways." Kettil gave a bit of a wiggle in his seat as he playfully booped Milo on the nose. "You should come fishin' with me sometime, I can teach you how and stuff." Kettil continued on, he was practically sparkly eyed with excitement.
The pudding was received with a wide grin, "Awesome! Thanks, pal!"
The waiter stared at them for a long moment as if baffled by their excitement over pudding, he offered a smile in return, "Yer welcome. I just uhh...If you need anything, just ask for me," he patted his nametag where it said 'Tom'. Inu-Mitsu This tag is brought to you by: The letter 4 and the number E. Also Pales couldn't sleep so he wrote a tag. LOVE MEEEEE.

Every fiber of her being was focused on her pudding. It looked so creamy and amazing. No doubt they made it there in the restaurant. Picking up her spoon carefully, Mitsu tried to decide the best way to tackle her dessert before she turned to Tom, her expression eternally grateful. One would have thought he had brought her the holy grail on a silver platter.
When she turned back to her pudding Mitsu seemed to hesitate with the spoon. She was worried about ruining the perfect clean surface of her dessert but finally she managed to slip her spoon in and pull up a small amount. Her eyes grew wider with excitement as she brought the spoon closer and finally was able to taste victory.
*A*
"It's so good." She finally managed after a long moment of savoring her first bite.
Milo who had been rather focused on Kettil and trying to play had suddenly turned his attention to the food on the table. While Mitsu was generally greedy with her desserts she still took a small scoop of pudding from the bowl and placed it in front of Milo on the table so he could lick it up.
Indulging in a couple more bites of pudding Mitsu finally backtracked to their previous topic and Kettil's offer to take her fishing. "So you would really take me fishin'?" She didn't know the first thing about catching fish but it would probably exciting. "Do you have to swim out and catch them? I've seen bears catch them in their mouths as they try to jump upstream. Is it kinda like that?" She could totally figure this out. In her true form she could probably manage to catch them. if she could catch a ball surely she could catch a fish.

Tom had left the two to their pudding.
Kettil stopped playing with Milo so as not to distract him from his little treat. The boil focused on preparing to eat his offering of pudding now that it was here. He was glad that Mitsu seemed to be enjoying the treat, it seemed like she needed one sorely.
He started to eat listening to her question, or rather string of questions. These were all easy questions to answer, "Ya I would! If you'd like to go anyways! I never force it on anyone," he beamed at her the smile. Kettil enjoyed sharing hobbies with others. He wiggled a big in his seat as he thought of her next question, "Well, usually I don't do it that way but I could! I use fishin' gear like a pole and bait, and sometimes I don't use bait at all! We could even go on a boat if you wanted. We can try all the things, Mitsu."
Did Kettil seem excited? Just a little.

"You use a pole?" She lifted her spoon and made a flicking motion like she was hitting something though that something was only air. "Do you lure them with the bait and hit them on the head with the pole?" Clearly she understood this very well. Surely bait would make it easier though perhaps Kettil liked the challenge of using no bait at all.
"Oh, a boat!" He had perked her interest even more with that. She had been on a boat once...sort of. It hadn't been the best of experiences in the haunted house but it was still fun in its own way. "So we can go out on a pond or a stream? Oo! Oo I know, the fountain in the town square has koi fish we should fish there." She seemed pleased with herself that she knew the best place to fish. They probably wouldn't be very hard to catch at all.

Kettil paused mid-bite of his pudding and stared at Mitsu as if he was trying to imagine the process and let out a small 'ha!' before he resumed eating. He shook his head a bit, "Nono! Y'see the pole has these lines, and on the line there is a hook where the fish gets hung up on. Then you pull the line in and there's the fish all dangling and wiggly!"
Because who wants to be latched onto a hook? Seriously.
The boil seemed to take note of her interest in a boat and filed that away for later. The next question brought about a battle of wills within him. Fishing in the town fountain seemed so tempting. Then he thought of the trouble they could both be in if they did so. If it was just him, he would risk it. Mitsu involved? Not so much.
"Nah," he said sounding disappointed, "doubt the authorities would be very keen on us doing that. I know a couple of places where we could fish, though! No worries."

Kettil sounded disappointed but probably not as much as Mitsu as her idea was shot down. "Oh, the fish in the fountain are not for eating?" Mitsu tried to think of somewhere else but thankfully Kettil had that covered.
Thinking over this fishing trip that Kettil spoke about Mitsu continued to eat her pudding. Perhaps, if she was daring enough, they could meet up again and actually do it. Could she trust herself to make a new friend? She shivered slightly at the memory of how the last attempt had went. Things could be different though right? Maybe if she asked Shun first he would make sure everything was okay.
Licking her spoon clean after her last bite Mitsu made sure the pudding cup was spotless before she pushed it aside. "I think a fishing trip would be fun. We could do that soon, maybe?" She was only a little unsure about it, perhaps a little nervous.

Kettil paused thoughtfully, "I guess in desperate times you could eat 'em. I think those are just for decorations," he replied with a small shrug. People liked decorative useless fish and it was a bit beyond him. He wasn't going to judge.
Well, maybe he was going to judge a little.
The Muut was also enjoying his pudding. Unlike Mitsu he already considered the ghoul to be his friend but that was just how he worked, he was simply that confident that he was going to be spending a lot of time with Mitsu. He'd finished his pudding a few minutes after she had done so and set the bowl aside, "Whenever you want! Can be tomorrow, a week from now, whenever you're ready for some fishin'! If you want you can have my 'number so you can call me when you're ready!"

"Oh, call okay." Mitsu worked her hands into the pocket of her hoodie and pulled out her phone. It looked fairly new and barely used and the truth of the matter was all of that was true. Her old phone was somewhere lost, broken, or in storage on the hunter's island. It had taken her a while after she got back but finally Shun had gotten her a new eyephone and she was still adding things to it and getting used to the functions. Her other one hadn't been that old but the styles had changed drastically from the time of her first purchase.
When she finally managed to make it to the desired screen she handed the phone over to Kettil so that he could input his information. "I would like to see how you fish. It sounds like it would be fun."
