The waitress stopped by, dropped the pitcher off and continued on her way without a word. She would come back by in a few minutes to check on them, but for now they seemed content. Crims took a small break from eating to refill his glass and guzzle the water down. He set his cup down, ate the last few scraps of his food and pushed everything aside.
Eat everything given to you quickly. There was never much time to eat so he'd learned to eat quickly and not pay too much attention to the taste of his food. As long as it was edible it, then the taste didn't matter. Such was military life.
"I see," he responded slowly, watching her with a level gaze and his elbows propped on the table. "I think I know what you mean, I don't pay much attention to taste any more." He shrugged. "Not really anyway," he added. Her question made his brows furrow with thoughtfulness. "Some of the stuff," he told her, licking his lips in thought. "They've got the strangest vegetables here but the meat tastes mostly the same. It's all about the seasoning. There's a lot of trade between the outer planets; Neptune, Uranus, Pluto and Saturn that is." Sometimes he forgot that she might not refer to the solar system the same way he does. "So there's a pretty wide variety of tastes. Just kinda get used to everything and stop noticing the difference."

"That sounds boring," she commented as she pulled another bone out of her mouth. She couldn't imagine just trying to eat food and ignoring the flavor. Sure, she had eaten disgusting things before, but ignoring flavors just sounded miserable.
Eventually her mouth decided that it needed hydration, and who was Iris to deny her body the basics. She set the fish back down on the plate before pouring herself some more water. The blonde swallowed at least three chugs of water before she mentioned "...maybe some other evening I'll bring the girls with me here... they might enjoy it. It's a bit different!" She wasn't certain how well they'd blend in. She was pretty sure she stood out like a sore thumb in the room of practical natives. Her eyes rolled up towards the ceiling thoughtfully as she mused over the subject further.
"...maybe an informal performance for a meal?"

"We're taught not to be picky," he replies, shrugging when he takes another swig of water. "Because it's not important, not in the grand scheme of things anyway," he explains, "I mean, things still have a taste but unless it blows me away with how amazing it is, I don't focus on it." So far he hadn't been absolutely wowed with any of the food he'd eaten during his time on Saturn so to him it didn't matter.
"Since we're expected to play the part of ambassadors, to an extent, whenever Princess Saturn travels we'll constantly be expected to experience a wide range of food," he continues not caring if she isn't really listening. "They told us it was best to ignore anything that tastes poorly and eat whatever is served to us, in most scenarios. There are exceptions of course. It could reflect poorly upon us if we don't." Politics and what not.
Honestly the whole thing often left Crims with a headache of sorts. He breezed through personal interaction and understood things while they were happening but the strict rules and guidelines that came with a being a knight were often exhausting.
"That is possible, depending on the sort of performance," he tells her, switching topics seamlessly. "Folks around here aren't the type to jump for joy at anything spontaneous," he laughs, shaking his head. "But it's worth a shot, we can talk to the waitress about talking to the owner?"

The girl laughed at his observation of the people of Saturn. "Well, I could tell just by looking around!" It really was a rather grim feeling society. The mannerisms of the people on this world compared to the mannerisms of her own people was almost night and day. Two completely different sides of a coin.
She had even noticed the lack of appreciation for spontaneous dance upon the street prior. On other worlds, the people would frequently be more giving. She still managed to get enough for a meal, but it was a disappointing amount hauled in. "...I am certain we could find some sort of performance for an indoor audience... one that will stun and amaze... without ruining dinners!" If the one playing the piano was willing to do a different tune, she already knew a routine that could work in such a setting.
Rather than sit around and wait for the waitress to return, the girl made sure to leave her money where she was sitting (her food had already vanished, so payment should be left behind), and with a wave, she departed with a "It's been fun, Crims!"
It seemed she was more interested in pursuing another gig and soon enough the senshi of rainbows had trotted off to the waitress. Waiting just was not her style.
