Socks was again knocked down when the Lucario attacked. She burrowed underground to escape from the painful attacks. After a moment she popped up to attack.

Hemera snarled sharply at the pain. The sand dug into her would, adding onto the blow, and she aimed another Cross Chop as she hobbled away.

Socks yelped at the pain from the Cross Chop. She staggered a bit feeling rather weak. She shook her head trying to get her head back into the game so to speak. She then tunneled underground and waited. Finally she popped back up and attacked Hemera.

Hemera stumbled with the blow, but she quickly recovered and chased after her foe before she could retreat underground. She used Drain punch in hopes of gaining back some energy.

Socks fell down from the attack and was quickly recalled.
Alexa thought for a moment and decided to go on ahead and let one of her fire types out. It was a good time seeing how they were against a Lucario which was weak to fire attacks.
She released Hulda and signaled for her to use a fire attack. Hulda complied by covering herself in flames and charging the Lucario.

Hemera steamed with the heat of the attack, and she quickly waded into the waters to cool. From the pool, she sent a pulse of water to drench her foe.

Hulda stumbled backwards and sputtered from the water. Her flames went out immediately. She used the heat from her body to dry her fur (she raised her own temperature, a cool trick she learned from Vincent). Then she again covered herself in flames and charged.

Hemera stayed within the water and padded away. As she did so, she sent another wave of water to extinguish Hulda's flames.

Alexa saw the fire attack wasn't doing any good with the Lucario in the water. She signaled Hulda, glad that the young Growlithe often looked at her, to use a ground type move.
Hulda saw the signal and switched it up. It wasn't hard to do so either as her flames were gone and she had a lot of wet sand to use. She swiped a paw through the wet sand sending it flying towards Hemera.

Hulda was knocked back by the water and had to again dry herself. She again slapped the wet sand with a paw to send it towards her opponent. She then moved back hoping to get out of range of another attack just in case.

Hulda fell down out cold herself. She was quickly recalled and Vincent was released.
Vincent spotted the Lucario and rushed up to her. He was going so fast that he practically ran her over.

Vincent's tail began to wag when he spotted who had tried to knock him over. His bestest friend was here! He stomped his paws down, imitating Erebos, and ran him over.
