Jason had never pulled his hand back faster in his entire life. With a yelp he jumped back putting as much distance between himself and the box of....of
'ZANTHVOS WHY THE HELL WOULD ANYONE WANT A PAIR OF FLESH EATING PUPPIES?!!'

'...H-HOW?! THEY EAT YOUR FLESH!
Regardless of they whys and hows, they now had on their hands a bona-fide creature of halloween. That just made everything more complicated. And scary. Because the slitted eyes and forked tongue were freaking him out.
He glanced at both Solia and Sayaka, then back to the clerk, thinking over their options. They could always fight it, but he had no idea what it was capable off, not to mention they didn't have that much time left. But then wasn't it their job to take out monsters that were in the human world?
When he thought about it that way, it made more sense not to engage. However dumb it was, their main objective was to retrieve a TV, nothing else. And they could come back later to dispatch him if the need arose...
"E-excuse me, but I believe there is some misunderstanding." He calmly said to the clerk. "We were here for the 70% off Plasma TV, the special package shown in this brochure." He held it up for the clerk to see. "Would you be able to show us were they are located?"

"Jason, I dont believe there's a misunderstanding here at all." Closest to the sales clerk, Saya's intentions didn't agree with Jason's intentions of not engaging. She didn't know Jason's intentions though, an arrow immediately flying past him to aim squarely at the clerk.
Dangerous boxes and clerks didn't conclude well in Saya's mind, especially if it held flesh-eating puppy reinforcements.

Solia pouted. She really wanted to have the box opened. She really wanted to know what was in the box. Smoking? Wiggling? Hell if she knew but hell if she wasn’t curious. “Psssshhhhhh. It’s just a box. A box that is in a Best Buy. Like really. Really.” Israfel hummed in her head, telling her it was probably defective to be smoking like that. Falling apart with all that moving. Jason looked like he was going to man up but then sir sneak pipped up.
Flesh eating puppies.
Flesh eating puppies.
Flesh.
Eating.
PUPPIES.
Solia stared at the thing attempting to shove of the box of puppies onto them. Israfel mulled it over along with Solia as she stared at the thing.
This could end up really good, or really bad. Jason got a look of ‘oh right we have a TV to get for Mark don’t we’. “We were told to get the special package de- SAYAKA WHAT ARE YOU DOING OM MY GOD.” Brown eyes were wide as she stared at the moon trainee. “There are PUPPIES nearby! You could have hurt them!” A look to the box. Then to the clerk. Back to the box. Then to Jason. Then Sayaka. Then box. Then clerk.
“I’m totally here for puppies though.” She would train it and it would be her badass Halloween fighting machine. Besides, flesh eating didn’t mean it ate human flesh exclusively. Just flesh. She would train it not to eat human flesh and only go after Halloween flesh. “Or are they on reserve for someone else? If not I’d like to adopt one.”
She’d always wanted a puppy.

Due to Saya's antics, the store clerk jerked backwards, alarmed, ignoring Jason's question entirely. His hood fell backwards, revealing extremely scaly skin, a set of horns, and well, it was pretty obvious either he was really into fursonas or he really was not quite Human.
And then, to perhaps Solia and Jason's delight, one of the boxes popped open. At first nothing, just some black space, and then a small sound, a tiny scratching sound, before -Ah yes, flesh eating puppies, just as cute as advertised. Also there was something odd about them, they almost seemed a little familiar-
"HOLY MOTHER OF JACK!" The Sales Clerk screeched, effectively knocking over another box. "Wh-who the hell are you guys? You're not my usual dealers. L-look i just needed a part time job and they said minipets was fine you know, minip- I just- I'm outta here!" With that the not-quite-Human fled as fast as his little lizard legs took him, which was quite reasonably, rather fast.
Leaving the three with flesh eating puppies. Several of them crawling out of boxes, their mouths splitting abnormally large across. There really was nothing puppy-looking about them, and it was rather questionable as to if they were even quite minipets.
One of them drooled a bit, made a strange, low clicking noise, and lunged for the closest victim. OOC VERSUS FLESH EATING PUPPY MOUND:- The mob has a cumulative HP of 50/50. It does 5 auto damage per attack a player makes at it! Saya, Solia, and Jason must use TEAMWORK to defeat the puppies! - Moon buff: Moon Hunters can choose to instead of attacking, roll 2d6. That is the amount they defend a player for for the next turn. - Death buff: Death Hunters can negate all damage taken to them for one turn. - ALL PLAYERS CAN ATTACK AS MANY TIMES AS THEY WANT. It is highly recommended they defeat the puppies before they puppies defeat them. Death by flesh eating puppies isn't too rare an occurrence but it is slightly embarrassing. Also for the record, Mark was still waiting for his TV.

Jason was just as alarmed when Sayaka shot the arrow, but for different reasons (one of them being along the lines of wait Solia actually wanted to adopt one of these- I don't even- what)
And of course, one of the boxes sprung open. It was a tense few seconds to see what the hell was coming. But maybe..maybe they would be really cute and adorable, just like Zanth sai-
"OH MY GOD WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING?!?" Jason shouted. That was not a puppy. That was nothing like a puppy. That was a creature from the depths of hell and it needed to go back to those depths right now.
And of course the monster had ran off to let them deal with this mess, just brilliant.
'NO IT IS NOT'
The moon trainee nearly screamed as one of the clicking pups came jumping right at him, his eyes frozen on the sharp separated teeth that were aiming straight at him. It bit down on a shoulder, But he was quick to stab the creature with his summoned sword.

As he turned to face the flesh eating puppy mob, a few took a bite out of his leg which caused Jason to fall over. Not a second later he was up, though sadly he couldn't stop himself from screaming this time.
"SHUT UPPP" He wailed out loud as he did a few interesting jumps to escape being bit again.

This was alot harder then he imagined it would be. His targets were small and many, and just when his sword struck one down, another one took it's place. But if there was one good thing to come out of it, they were more focused on him then they were on Sayaka and Solia.
At least he could pretend to be brave and noble by attacking first.

Jason's blade swung in a wide arc, taking out two in one go. It was a impressive hit, but that was not what made him smile in this horrid situation. He could feel the energy brimming in Zanthvos which meant that his weapon was fully charged. Though before he could ready his attack, he had to make a dive for cover as the puppies came jumping at him ala face hugger style.
"NO. NO. NO. NO. NOT MY FACE GAAHHH!"

Stepping back, Jason flattened himself against the wall as a group of the flesh eating...freaks were coming his way. This time though he was ready and waiting for the vicious l;ittle beasts. They jump, and his sword glowed a error black. Holding the blade up high he threw it back down, his attack unleashed itself on the minis. Many of them were slain in the blast, but a few managed to get through and bite at him once more.
"Gah!" He flinched. At least he had thinned them out.

'I know, I know' He mentally thought as he side stepped some of the blasted biters. As he looked around to check on the others he saw some of them trying to bite the death trainee.
"HEADS UP!" he shouted as he literally jumping over a few of them, tucking himself into a roll and landing near Solia in a crouch. He then held the flat end of his blade up, batting a few flesh eating puppies away from her.

Solia’s stare went from serious to blanked out as the ‘puppies’ came into view. Those were so not cute. Not in the slightest. Crazy eyes, red maws and claws… just.. well they were flesh eating so it kind of made sense but still. Still.
These were so not the cute monster puppies in her head.
“It’s a flesh eating puppy Jason.” Her voice was calm, though he mind was screaming. ‘Not okay, so not okay’. Israfel summoned, the siren sighed. Looked like they wouldn’t be getting any puppies after all. As the puppies focused on Jason, Solia sighed. Really. “Bad dogs.” Shot fired, she looked to her defender with a smile. “Thank you! But uh-“
She looked at the ones that remained. Then to Sayaka. “Something tells me that we won’t be getting that TV for Mark.”

Dammit, Blast Mark and his time limits and his stupid need for stupid TVs (not to mention he doubted he would have time to get one himself. First world problems.) With these pups between them and their promotion, Jason had to think fast. He smiled back at Solia's gratitude before he moved to intercept a few aiming for Sayaka this time. "Right. How about this. I'll stay here while one of you go and purchase the TV. It must be in the electronics section somewhere. Then you can wait by the portal while the rest of us stay here and take out these puppies, then we'll meet you there." HP: 15/40 Charge: -/- Defending Sayaka for: 6 Boss HP: 21

"We're going to get that TV. It might just be a little late though. I'm sure if we explain .. the situation .."
She barely inflicted damage on a different creature, it recoiling back to prepare for another attack. She backed up against Jason, as the male defended her. As Jason voiced his plan, Saya felt it was plausible.. until she took a better look around.
"I .. disagree. That's efficient action-wise but with your shield running low and Solia as the only fighter, we might end up wasting more time with one person running around for the television and waiting for others to catch up. If you dont mind this plan .. how about all three of us take them out, then all three of us can find the tv? The more, the better, right?"

Saya's next hit at the monster that came back wasn't a positive back-up to her earlier suggestion, unfortunately. She missed, her hand panicking at the last second as a creature lunged for her. Teeth nicked her side, her green sash torn and being eaten at the moment.

Taking a few moments to catch his breath, Jason had to agree with Sayaka on that one. Because these puppies were a pain in the a** and the moment he wasn't looking they had eaten the other moon's sash. "You're right. Lets trounce these demon things and get moving."
