Idriss pawed the ground with a hoof and shook her head, but a quiet thought from Jordun seemed to calm her some. She refrained, at least, from kicking up a spray of snow aimed directly for her brother and when Jordun turned her toward the trail, she followed readily, eager to be doing something more exciting than walking around in a circle.
"Yes, let's," he agreed, picking up a trot. No doubt Idriss would want to tear through the course as quickly as she could, but that could come in a week or two. The doe was quick on her feet, but Jordun wasn't sure he would be ask quick about adapting to her sudden shifts.
Still, it was a start. The trail would help them learn to read each other and ride sharp turns without so much as thinking about them. He would learn where his limits were, and hers, and it would all become instinctive one day. But for now, it was better just to take it slow.
