Abdul was in, what he considered, his meadow. He was continuously getting better, and his scabbed over burns were slowly peeling away, leaving only nasty scars that, hopefully, his coat would cover up. His mossy colored coat was starting to look healthier in the places you could see.
He had decided, since he could walk and run for short distances, that he may be able to get back into fighting shape. He made his way over to a tree, and began by reaching up with his foreleg and kicking at it. The sound was a dull thud, not at all what it should sound like if he was using full force.
He gave a small, frustrated growl and tried it again, this time harder. He smiled when chunks of bark flew off. This was what he should be doing.
He continued practicing against the tree, until Kesi made her way back to the meadow.

As Kesi made her way back, she saw Abdul...kicking a tree. Whelp, she supposed he had to get back into shape at some point. He had to get his muscles toned again so that he could travel for longer. "Abdul?" She said as she started getting closer. The last thing she wanted to do is startle him.

Abdul heard her approach but didn't turn around until she said his name. He smiled brightly at the beautiful female and dipped his head out of respect for her. "Good day, Angel. How was your run?" He asked softly, the smile never leaving his face.

"It was good. Not eventful at all, I've been running a little more to compensate for the past few weeks. I hope things weren't too boring here?" Kesi asked him as she dipped her head in turn, her cheeks warming at him still using his little name for her, 'Angel'.

Abdul, still smiling, shook his head. "This meadow will never be boring. However, perhaps I can try to make the run with you tomorrow. I would love to help out in anyway I can, that way I can get my strength back up. Spending weeks out of commission is not a good thing for warriors in this time." He offered gallantly.

Kesi cocked her head, debating. "If you think you are strong enough, Abdul, then you can. But if you start to look like you are straining, I will stop. I...don't want you to hurt..." She looked away shyly.

Abdul grinned devilishly. "My Angel. Always looking out for my welfare." He teased lightly. "However, I agree to your terms, dearest." He lightly nudged her shoulder, playfully.

Kesi smiled slightly, her head still dipped in embarrassment. "I wasn't meaning to ask this until you were better...but...what happened to you?" She wanted to know who was responsible for what happened to him, and if he had any family, she wanted to be able to go let them know that he was okay.

Abdul sighed and looked down at the ground before looking back up at his angel. "Fair enough. I knew this question would come. Well, I was scouting the Southern Border with a partner of mine. We were ambushed by a firey male by the name of Ruin. He encircled us with a ring of fire and began attacking us along with another fire-one, a female by a name I do not know. I had just enough time to get Kailyn free from attack and able to run away before Ruin and his partner cornered me. I passed out and must have seemed dead for they left me without another thought. I woke up in the middle of the night, I don't know how much later, sore and hurting so bad. I was barely able to get to my hooves and travel what I hoped was north and pray that I could find help before I expired. I thought I was a goner just before you found me." He said softly, watching her cautiously.

"That's terrible...I don't see why anybody would do that. Those sixers are just terrible." All the anger she had at her fathers death was welling up again after hearing Abdul's story. "I'm glad I found you, you were in pretty bad condition as it was..."

Abdul could feel the emotion forming in Kesi's eyes, and a sudden urge to comfort her came up from his chest and cause him to lean into her, and lightly nuzzle her mane. "Its okay..." He said softly as he continued to nuzzle her carefully.

Kesi leaned into his nuzzle, happy to have him. "But its not okay Abdul, they need to be stopped. They've killed my father, any our herd leader, and almost you! They've killed way too many people. Someone needs to stop them." This was one subject that really got Kesi going, she felt outraged by this whenever she thought of it.

Abdul nodded. "Its going to take a while.. but they are being stopped. Just give it some time." He said softly, in a crooning voice in order to soothe her.

Settling down like she could tell he wanted to. "So what is on the agenda for today?" He was better enough to be up so they could probably walk around a little bit.

Abdul lightly nudged her. "Well... for starters... I have a question for someone, but I have been unsure on how to ask her.. So I figured you may be able to help me.. Being that you're a girl." He said softly, his green eyes twinkling mischeivously.
