Bae Bae absentmindedly reached his hand up to toy with the furry ears he still had stuck to his head, the sleeves of his button-up rolled to his elbows and pushed up a little. His red vest was open, the top four buttons of his shirt undone to reveal a bit of his chest, and his jacket lay on the back of his chair. He didn't know why he ever bothered with a jacket, he always ended up taking it off. Unlike his normal-looking fellow celebrities in the establishment, Bae looked as though he was about to step back into his world of pop stars and divas, probably because he was. He had to go back to the recording studio later that day, then go off to visit his stylist once more. She'd tried almost everything she could think of to get the ears off and was now calling in a specialist. Hopefully they wouldn't have to surgically remove them. Honestly, Bae was starting to really like the ears, but alas, it would really damage his image if he pulled a lifelong cosplay. He was supposed to be too cool for that. "Eun-Ho, of course I'm listening to you," he assured his friend. "And I totally agree, Haneul was being inconsiderate. Next time the two of you are away from your boyfriends, he should dedicate all of his time towards making you feel better. No, I'm not being sarcastic. If I was going to be sarcastic, you would know." He frowned. "I'm not being that facetious, Eun-H- it means that I'm deliberately using inappropriate humor in a serious situation. Yeah, it's a good word to use. No I didn't make it up." Bae sighed, bwoing his head and pinching the bridge of his nose. "Yes, I'm sure I didn't make it up. Facetious. It's facetious. Fa- you're saying it wrong. Eun-Ho, stop." He grew quiet, pulling the phone away from his ear as his band-mate began to ramble about possible ways to say the word. He deserved to get paid for these phone calls.

Kenshin Yamada Ken insisted that he pay for his lunch, but Ryuu stubbornly handed his card to the cashier. The redhead huffed. It was like being treated like a child! Whatever, more cash for him! As Ryuu signed the receipt, Ken leaned an arm on the counter and looked around. He stopped when he saw something familiar. Yeah, there was no doubt about it. He recognized those ears anywhere! "Bae!" he breathed, causing the blue-haired man to turn. Ryuu looked at Ken's smile then followed his gaze to the man from the rival band. His eyes narrowed. Of all the places to run into him, it had to be when he finally gets alone time with Kenshin?! He tried to grab his friend's arm and insist they get the food to go and leave, but the redhead was already gone. "Who would've thought I'd see a live inu!" Ken said with a cheeky grin as he headed towards Bae. Ryoichi Kimura

Bae The tall Korean looked up as he heard him name called, instantly brightening at the sight of the familiar redhead. "Oh, thank God," he breathed before interrupting the blonde. "Hey Eun-Ho, I gotta go. Yeah, something came up. I promise, I'll try and make it to your party thing next time. Wish I could come to the one tonight, but you're lucky. You know how savage I tend to be in good society. Talk to you later, stupid." Hanging up, he looked back up to Kenshin and smiled at him. "Yeah well, my manager told me to tell you that you're evil." He gestured to the ears. "They're bringing in a professional to attempt to remove them later today. Eun-Ho and Haneul bow down to your prank, though." He gestured for Kenshin to sit across from him, leaning forward on the table and lowering his voice. "So, I was thinking you could come by tonight," he whispered. "I need to get back at you for practically breaking my back three days ago." He smirked teasingly, remembering well their romp in the parking lot of the circus.

Kenshin Yamada "Not my fault you're getting old." scoffed the redhead as he crossed his arms at the table. He turned but smirked at the brunette. "I can head over around eight." he said. Suddenly, two drinks were slammed down onto the table, making the redhead jump. "Kenshin," Ryuu said in a gentle tone, though by the look in his twitching eye it was obvious he was angry. "What are you doing sitting with someone from the other band? You, of all people, told us not to." A bead of sweat dropped from the side of Ken's head. "Uh, well... I was just trying to see what they were going to do for out joint concert." he said snootily. "Is that right?" Ryuu mused with a raised eyebrow, unconvinced. "Then let me sit down too so we can discuss more." He made the redhead scoot over and sat down beside him. His eyes were kind when they were on the redhead, though they turned fierce when aimed at Bae. "Please fill me in on what happened." he said without a hint of a smile. Ryoichi Kimura

Bae Bae remained calm and cool, crossing his legs and leaning back in his chair. "Like I told your band-mate, any and all questions about the performance must be asked through my manager. You oughta go talk to him yourself, Ryuu. You and Ellery seem to be quite good friends." He tilted his head a little. "I'm pretty sure that you're the one who saved his relationship. Or is he lying?"

Kenshin Yamada "Yes. Because he felt more comfortable talking to his rival than someone like you. Ironic, isn't it, Loverboy?" seethed the blue-haired man. He was well aware of the gossip of Bae's feelings towards Ellery. What he wasn't aware of, however, was Ken's involvement in any of it. So without knowing it, he struck a chord with the redhead. Ken hesitated when he heard the comment and opted to look out the window. He hated being reminded about Bae and Ellery's relationship. They were just friends, there was nothing really between that. Yeah, right. It took more than one comment to convince him, especially against all the unintentional comments Bae would say about the "beautiful, talented songwriter". Ken looked at the front, relieved to see his order ready. "I'll, uh, go get my food." he mumbled and moved out of the booth awkwardly, eager to get away from them for a moment. "Ken?" Ryuu blinked as the redhead hurried off. He was acting strange again. He wasn't angry that the bassist had actually talked to a member of the other band, was he? Ryoichi Kimura

Bae "Ellery and I are no longer close, Ryuu." Bae coolly lifted his drink, sipping the tea before putting it back down and clasping his hands on his lap. "There is someone far more important who captures my attention at all times." His eyes darted to Ken, watching him get up and leave. Unlike the blue-haired man, he wouldn't just sit there and let Ken walk away. Standing, he walked the several steps to Kenshin's side, lowering his voice. "Ken, you don't really think that I still have feelings for him, do you?" he asked, concern in his tone. Leave it to that Slushie-haired moron to ruin things between him and Ken.

Kenshin Yamada Kenshin continued staring at the worker that went to get his food, though his eyes glinted with guilt when he saw Bae near him through his peripherals. "No... Yes. I don't know." he admitted and dipped his head. "Saying you don't like him is one thing, and it's one thing against tons of... of things like pictures and articles. Even I saw the way you look at him. You can't just say you don't have strong feelings for him and stare at him like he's the best thing that's ever happened to your life." Ryoichi Kimura

Bae "But I don't!" he protested. "I look at you like that, Ken, not him. You can ask anyone, I've been treating him just like everyone else. I don't stare at him, I don't do favors for him, I don't even talk to him that often anymore. I mean, yeah, I'll probably always have something in the back of my head since he was a huge part of my life, but my feelings for you both outweigh and outlast anything I ever felt for him." Bae looked around, then discreetly set his hand on Ken's. "What I had for Ellery was sparked by gratitude. I've always loved you, Ken. I always will."

Kenshin Yamada "But you did. You had feelings for him. You said you always loved me, but you left me-" Ken looked at Bae. "-to fall for him. I can't ignore that, Bae. I can't just toss aside all those years I waited for you just to watch you on the internet get attention for some secret love triangle. I trust you, okay? It's just... going to take me time, is all." He turned when the worker came back and took his food with a smile and a thanks. He glanced at Bae for a second before moving back to the table, though he wasn't sure if staying at that table was a good idea right now. Ryuu silently watched Ken slide back into his seat. He'd been around the redhead long enough to know when he wasn't as happy as his expression showed - mainly because Ken doesn't smile when he's not on stage. This was because of Bae. Again. "Why don't we get that food to-go and go to my place?" Ryuu offered as he stayed standing in case Ken saw the logic. "We can watch that movie I just got. You told me you really wanted to see it, didn't you?" Ryoichi Kimura

Bae Bae sighed, nodding. He knew it was going to take time, but he didn't want to wait. He just wanted them to be happy already, for all this pain that he'd caused to disappear. Part of him wished that he'd never met Ellery, although he knew that the short songwriter was the whole reason behind Kenshin reappearing in Bae's life. Still though, he was tired of all the secrets, the lies, the sneaking around. But most of all, he was tired of seeing that look in Ken's pretty eyes. Seeing Ryuu stand, Bae's hand shot out, touching Kenshin's wrist. Usually, in public, he'd look around before touching him, he'd be more careful not to be seen, but right now, he didn't care. "Don't go," he pleaded quietly, not bothering to hide the look in his eyes that begged the redhead to stay. He saw no need to hide. Ryuu clearly knew that they had something. "Please, don't go with him." Stay with me, his eyes seemed to say. If you go with him, it'll just start another vicious cycle of everyone hurting and no one being happy, and I can't stand the thought of you crying in front of another man.

Kenshin Yamada Ken looked at Ryuu when offered to leave. Maybe that would be a good idea, give him enough time to clear his mind. He was shimmying out of the booth when he felt something on his wrist and looked over to see that pleading look in Bae's eyes. Ken went silent. All that was waiting here was an awkward silence, what was the point? If he left, though, that would make this fragile connection between them threaten to break. Besides, the fact that he was casting aside his pride just to keep him here, he couldn't ignore that. "... I'll stay." Ken said eventually and returned to his seat. Ryuu blinked. "What?" "I said I'll stay." Ken repeated, having stared at Bae the entire time. Ryuu stared for a moment. He wasn't that surprised, but he was still angry. What power did Bae have that was so strong over Ken? Well, he wasn't going to give them the satisfaction of alone time. He'd stay here too and keep Bae from making Ken anymore upset! Ryoichi Kimura

Bae Now completely ignoring Ryuu, the black-haired star smiled gratefully as Ken sat back down in front of him. His hand reluctantly moved back to the table, then he decidedly put his back on Ken's wrist. He didn't care about his reputation anymore, and he wanted to make sure that Kenshin knew that he was willing to give it up for him. It was tiny gesture, likely not even noticeable by the redhead, but to Bae, it was offering his heart on a shiny silver platter. "Thank you," he whispered. He didn't know what he could say to make the situation better, but as long as he still had Kenshin nearby, he was bound to end up alright.

Kenshin Yamada Ken felt himself smile a little at Bae. At least he had the reassurance that leaving terrified this guy. As he opened his mouth to say something, a hand shot out between them and practically ripped Bae's hand off the wrist. "That's enough of that." Ryuu said with venom in his tone. "Ken, eat quickly. We need to leave and go over the next concert." he ordered, his dark eyes never leaving Bae. He looked like a dog protecting his master. Ryoichi Kimura

Bae Bae's fingers curled into a fist as he glared up at Ryuu. "Don't you dare tell him what to do. You aren't his father, Kimura," he spat, clearly infuriated that the blue-haired thought he could order Kenshin into submission. "He can spend a hour with me if he wants to."
