PERSONALITY
General: Arliss has changed drastically since coming to Hogwarts. When she started school she was very quiet and tried not to step on anyone's toes. She did as she was told and never spoke out of turn. She felt like an outsider. After making a few friends things changed for her. Like back at home she began to speak her mind, having no problem telling people what she thinks of them as well as what is wrong and right. As the years passed she was always extremely nice to the first years, taking some of them under her wing. She is a kind person, however not someone you want to cross as she is known to have a nasty temper when you do. She loves games that require thought and figuring out riddles are are a talent of hers. She likes to take people under her wing, and can be motherly since she knows what it is like to not have anyone. She doesn't like being told what to do, and makes a good leader for the most part. Arliss can be stubborn in the fact that she listens to what she wants and "forgets" what she doesn't want to remember. This has gotten her in trouble many times.
HISTORY
General History: Arliss's whole family was born and raised in Brazil, her parents even going to wizarding school there. That was where they met, and from what her parents have told her they were inseparable since their first year. First as friends and then later as boyfriend and girlfriend, they got married while still in school and while some thought it was unwise they were happy and they knew it would last. They some time before trying to have a child, focusing on their careers as well as traveling the world together. When they finally had Arliss they were overjoyed, especially since her mother's sister had just had a son the year before. She was spoiled rotten, and although her parents worked a lot she spent time with her cousins family and father's parents. If anyone asked Arliss she would tell them she had a perfect life.
Right before her eleventh birthday Arliss's father was given an opportunity for a better paying job in the UK as well as her mother a job over there. They both wanted to go, having being to the UK many times and liking it over there. They took the job and gave Arliss the choice to come with them or stay with her grandparents and go to the same school they did. After some thought she decided that she had spent enough time learning in Brazil and was happy to start at Hogwarts.
Her first year was hard because of her accent, but by the middle of the year she had perfected the English language it was easier to understand her. She was happy to be placed in Ravenclaw like her uncle and fits into her house well. Nothing too exciting has happened during her first three years.

Relationship with Family:
Being an only child has it's benefits and it's downsides. One if a really good relationship with both her parents. Arliss is both a daddies girl and a mommas girl. Her parents worked a lot, but they always made sure that if one of them was away from home then the other would be there to take care of her. She spent a lot of time in Brazil with her grandparents and older family members, but it was her older cousin Marcelo who she loved to be around. They would play together all the time, and it was his father that told her parents about how good Hogwarts from his years in school. Although she loved her home country and wished that she was in school with Marcelo she wasn't mad when her parents job lead her to the UK at the same time she would be going to school. She had the option to go wherever she wanted, but she rather start her own adventure then follow in her families foot steps.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting: Looking around Hogwarts Arliss was scared. There were so many faces, none of which she knew. When her name was called she walked up the the sorting hat. "Please Mr. Hat, put me somewhere that I can excel in my studies as well as make new friends." she whispered in Portuguese. The hate replied in her native tongue. "My my, you are far from home aren't you? Well you are very knowlegable, and while just the fact that you came all the way here points that you have the bravery of a Gryffindor I think you are more suited for Ravenclaw. Good luck." he said before screaming out Ravenclaw for all to hear. Stunned that the hat knew Portuguese Arliss kept stealing glances at it all night from her new table.
Boggart: Her boggart is one she is very embarrassed by. It is her parents holding up a baby in their arms as they introduce her to her new sibling. She is an only child and to have a sibling would crush her. After casting the spell the boggart changes to her parents telling her how much they love her and how she is the only child they need.
Mirror of Erised: Arliss as the head of the Ravenclaw house as well as Arithmancy teacher.
EXTRA CREDIT
Patronus: The Eurasian Eagle Owl was the animal that sprung to life when she finally was able to cast the spell that created a patronus. It is one of the mightiest of the air creatures and after seeing one at the zoo she became fascinated with the animal. To her they symbolize wisdom as well as great strength.
Greatest Treasure: Arliss has a notebook that she sends back and forth to Marcelo, the two of them taking turns writing about their lives in it. It is her most prized possession and she wouldn't know what to do if it was taken from her.
Manner of Dress: Arliss doesn't care much for what she wears, as long as it is comfortable and presentable. She prefers clothing she can easily move around.
Favorite Class: Arithmancy, it is a challenge for her and she was overjoyed when she was able to take it.
Worst Class: History of Magic, she has been learning this since childhood so to her it's just repeating things she already knows. Not very exciting.
Habits: When she has an extreme emotion she sometimes starts talking Portuguese.
Hobbies: Dancing. Arliss was taught to dance from a young age and can dance many different professional styles.
