I high pitched whistle and a thud announced Canon's arrival into the Nice room. The Skark's singular eye rolled around for a moment before she seemed to regain her equilibrium. Jumping back to her feet, Canon simply stared at the room for a moment, senses overloaded by everything in the room.

Coming into the room had sent Chuppi landing on her stomach. If she'd landed on her back she'd just be stuck, there would be no getting her free no matter how hard anyone tried, and she lay there stunned and out of breath for more than a few moments. People were milling around, she knew more than a handful of them, and she simply just blinked and waited.
And then tried to wriggle herself free but she wasn't coming loose. It was bad enough her quills were sharp and tended to lodge themselves into everything but when she couldn't roll over because of how she landed? Hopefully there was no one around to see her wriggling like a very, very unhappy turtle who was on its back.

As Xiu introuduced the name of the two late comers, AJ was listening too. So Sophie and Terra, got it! There left the boil and another ghoul he didn't get their name yet, knowing name was important that they can address them immediately in case of dangers. Thus, it's better to know their names. " May I know your name?" He asked Thackery and Lumikki politely. He also noticed the group were arguing about their escape, Chute or door. He would like to give his opinion. AJ first turned to Terra who suggested to let one of them goes through the chute. " Hi Terra. I think it won't be a good idea to separate, we don't know what the chute might lead to. Also, if there would be dangers, I don't think one is enough to handle that...." He paused to give the ghoul some spaces to think. Counting the number of them, he spoke to Shun. " The door seems tough and I don't think we've got enough manpower.....?" The boil seemed to be a goodl leader. Finally, he shrugged to Lumikki. " Well, the chute is downward sloping but I remembered that the two rooms are parallel. So....there's little chance for it to link to another room?" Questions, questions and just more questions. Also, AJ noticed more people joined their group, good thing. " Hi there, come and join the discussion? Nice to meet you all, I am AJ." He invited the unfamiliar faces ( Gene, Chuppi and Canon) and introuduced himself. In the meantime, the second head was so unhappy that he was stopped from nomming those foods. " Em.....maybe let's vote? For whether down the chute or break the door?" AJ suggested. They won't be able to do anything if they are further separated but he also got some bad feelings about staying in the room, with the elves criticizing the toy.

Chuppi would have loved to have voted, would have loved to have joined in, but she was very much stuck in the ground.

Canon's dazed expression was finally shaken as a boil with an interesting tail called her over to a group. Canon blinked, smiled, made to scurry over, and ended up tripping over another student lying on the floor. The Skark tucked, rolled, and came back to her feet neatly, and then turned to investigate this comfortingly Halloween-ish oddity. "Hello!" she said brightly, flopping onto her own belly to look the ghoul in the eyes. "Oof! I'm Canon!" Her tail swept up and over her head to jab politely at the ghoul in greeting.

"The door doesn't look like it'll give way any time soon..," Sophie said meekly; knowing that, as a first year, she probably didn't have any grounds to say anything or direct the rest of the students. "Not to mention the robot thing might still be out there and toss us back in here." Partially hiding her frame behind Xiu, the ghoul suddenly felt flustered. Too many students. Too many eyes constantly washing over her. She didn't want to be here anymore. She wanted out.
On top of it all, she had no idea where her brother was. Of course, it was more than likely he was in the naughty room but that fact didn't stop Sophie from worrying. If anything, it made it worse. She'd seen the room. It was terrifying. Who knew what kind of monsters lurked inside it. What kind of dangers. No, until she saw her brother in the flesh, he was unsafe and that just wouldn't do.
"I think voting is a good idea," she said in agreement, clutching Xiu maybe a little tighter now that she was speaking a little louder. "I vote we go down the chute."Willpower: 7

There was indeed a chute next to Sophie yet it was sealed shut, the gate oddly bland except for a heart-shaped lock engraved into it. But where on earth would they find a heart-shaped key?
Looking around the room a second time with that thought in mind actually create a secondary almost bizarre experience: everything in the room had a heart engraving on it. The chocolate fountain had an engraving on it, and so did the toys being shipped in. The mugs that the classy elves were holding all had heart-shaped engravings, so did the ornaments on the trees, so did the candycane lollipops, so did the eggnog container, so did the wrapping paper bundling some of the presents.
Where was the best place to start? INVESTIGATION TIME - For any students curious about the LOCKED CHUTE EXIT, they can investigate! It will take more WILL POINTS to investigate! - Each point or item listed above can be investigated, in BOLD RED. This will take ONE WILL POINT.

Looking a chupacabra in the eyes, more specifically one who was distressed, was a very bad idea. Chuppi's red eyes likely seemed to be growing larger, stronger, and Canon may or may not have suddenly felt a tingling in part of her body as it went numb with paralysis. It was temporary of course, she wasn't strong enough to do some serious damage, but just enough to make someone tingle.

Thackery just kind of hovered nearby the group of students as they progressed around the room, wide-eyed, shell-shocked, and visibly distressed...until he realized what the new development in this situation meant. Everyone addressing him was ignored in favor of his newfound importance.
That was a lock.
He had a key.
In fact, he had so many Jackdamn keys. Even a heart-shaped key! Which...went to a box containing memoirs of Ash, but...yeah, there was no reason it wouldn't fit this too.
He wiggled the key off of its chain and held it up.
"Okay, everyone, I've got this." And then he tried to force the key into the lock.

It was time for introductions, lovely! Belladonna beamed at all the people in the room, a bright smile present for them all. "Hello all, I'm Belladonna Divine, it is lovely to meet you despite the less than stellar conditions." Though there were plans to be discussed, for the time she was much more inclined to be civil and worry about getting out later. After all, these swanky elves weren't trying to attack them or force them into anything awful, which was far better than she'd been treated in Christmas Town before and thus was the perfect excuse for not helping. That and the fact that the witch had sidled on over to Sophie and begun to gently kirakira at her. "Are you by chance Alexander's Sophie?" She asked, hands interwoven together under her chin. Any mention of a chute or escape was mostly ignored in favor of the pretty little undead ghoul. The thump that was Chuppi was distraction enough for Belladonna, who happily flitted over to her friend. "Chuppi! My love! Whatever are you doing on the floor! Up you gooooo~" Really, she was far too cheery for this particular situation, but still she gave the chupacabra a good heave-ho in attempt to pull her to her feet. It was only after the ghoul was standing that the witch noticed the attention paid to the chute, realized the heart shape and noticed... All the hearts.Oh. Oh, well then. "I would if this room has a bit of soul as well?" That was a horrible joke that she hastened to cover up by a bit of investigation. Determined to help, and not as all wary of the fountain, Belladonna swept forward and inspected the chocolate fountain, even going so far as to bend over to look at its base. Will Power: 8

For the second time that day, Canon was caught in something of a staring contest. Except this one came with tingles. Tail tingles. Canon broke the stare to look back to where her tail had flopped onto the floor and was twitching sporadically. The tingle faded. She looked back into the ghoul's eyes. The tingle strengthened. Look away. It faded again. Look back. Tingles. Away. No tingles. Canon's eye was sparkling with interest at this unexpected discovery. " Fascinating!" Further investigation into this phenomenon was interrupted as another ghoul came over and attempted to haul the monster ghoul to her feet. Canon got the gist, and also grabbed an arm in an attempt to get her to her feet.

Chuppi would have been more than glad to totally show Canon her power (on accident) if it hadn't been for Belladonna pulling the monster free. Perhaps it was because she sort of jumped to help, or Belladonna was doing it all out of magical awesome but none the less she was out of the ground. . . .
. . . and quickly making her way to hide beneath the witch's massive skirts. She was small enough she could feet, Belladonna had nearly three feet on her after all, and her many, many quills were all that remained showing after she completely vanished within. Belladonna may or may not have felt small claws on her leg as the monster hugged herself close, not enjoying anything anymore.

"You'd be surprised," Shun said flatly to AJ, twitching after getting patted on the shoulder a bit. The other boy might not have thought that they could take down the door, but the Reaper felt otherwise. Now it was more of if that was the better option they should take.
As he made his way towards the chute to see if he could see down it, he was passed up by Thackery who... was trying to jam a key into the chute. Wait. It was locked?
"Chute's out unless the key works.. or if we can find the key elsewhere," he murmured while looking around. It looked like that heart could be seen on a number of other objects sitting around the room. Odd. He never really thought hearts to be a Christmas symbol.
Furrowing his brow, he quietly went over by the fountain with Belladonna. Crouching down by it, he ran his fingers over the engraving on the fountain. Maybe it could be pushed in?

Alecto had never flown through the air before. It was a new, interesting sensation, and for a moment she could feel Tisiphone taking command of the wheel so she could happily howl at the sensation of wind whipping her face and her hair flying around before she landed to the ground with an unpleasant thud. Tisiphone groaned and rolled onto her back. “s’was painful…” she grumbled while gingerly rubbing her ears. The ghoul spent a few more moments moping over the minor pain in her body before finally sitting up and staring at the Christmas tree with bright lights. She narrowed her eyes at the sparkling lights, which glowed a myriad of colors. Tisiphone liked glowing things as much as the next creature, but that was just too much.
The fountain of chocolate appeared tempting, but as Megaera hissed in her head, Tisiphone decided against it. Something told the demon she would be in for a gnarly stomachache (which actually seemed interesting to try out, but…) Another dry look to the elves within the room before she stayed sitting on the ground to mull over her options. Ears twitched idly as she observed the other students in the room. It seemed they were looking around, maybe for a way out? That was nice. Hmmm.

Gene would receive a grin and a wave from the baku, who gave a helpless shrug at the question about the door. To break the door or to go through the chute--that was the dilemma, as there were definitely pros and cons to both options. For one thing, that door looked very, very difficult to break down, even if they were all working together. On the other hand, they didn't know where the chute went, and--
--...oh. The ghoul suddenly squinting, realizing upon closer inspection that there was a lock on it. Reaching out with her free hand, she brushed her fingers over the engraving with a frown. "A heart. So we need a heart key to open this thing? But..."
And then she turned, her gaze sweeping over all the heart shaped things in this room. The baku did not look even remotely amused at this sudden game of where is the heart key in a sea of hearts, but she gave a little shake of her head and a sigh. Perhaps the chute actually led somewhere important, considering that it was locked?
...Or maybe it was locked because it led somewhere dangerous. That would be bad.
"Well, we can't stay here forever." She turned to eye the ornaments on the closest tree, her gaze scrutinizing as she glanced carefully at each one in hopes that one would be a key. Her gaze briefly flickered away from the ornaments to fall on Sophie, and then they moved back to searching. "Everything okay?" She piped up suddenly, voice soft, "Group suddenly got pretty big, mm?"
