Irene's moment of triumph was quickly eclipsed as Shangri-La fell. She rolled away, barely clearing the area before he hit the ground, and banging her elbow on his leg as she did. That plan hadn't exactly turned out the way she'd planned it to, but there was some satisfaction in downing someone who was both older and taller than she was.
Once she was in the clear, she caught her breath, still splayed out on the ground. She knew the fight was over now. Part of her had known it was really over when she'd been shoved aside- if it was a real battle, she would have been toast then- but she couldn't accept that. As long as she could fight, she would, if it was to make herself stronger.
Had this made her stronger? Irene wasn't sure. It had been interesting, fighting a real person who wasn't Iris. She couldn't claim to enjoy it; she doubted she would ever enjoy sparring. But she did feel she'd learned a little bit from it. That, she supposed, would have to be enough for one evening.
Slowly, shakily, she got to her feet. "Thank you. That was... educational." Now that her ruffled feelings had been soothed somewhat, her manners were back. Somewhat. She did offer a hand to help Shangri-La up, not thinking that he was probably much too heavy for her to really provide assistance to.

Maia found herself snickering at the whole situation because really in the end it was sort of funny. She got to see how her brother did against someone that wasn't her and on his own level. She smiled because Irene actually offered thanks and she nodded, "glad to be of service."
Shang shook his head at his sister and taking the offered handing, but getting up on his own, having not really needed help, but wanting to be polite as well. "It was my pleasure," he said, even though he didn't care for sparring any more that Irene did, "you're pretty good."
Maia grinned, "he's right. You've got a lot of spirit and dogged determination, but it better placed in less reckless activities. Remember everyone has limitation and there is nothing wrong with that. Still I like you and I'm glad to have met you."
Shang nodded, but stayed quiet, he was really just ready for some well deserved sleep.

It was hard for Irene to decide if she was supposed to be pleased about the praise she got- from an Eternal, no less!- or irritated at the warnings against doing things that were reckless. Reckless. Clearly a code word for "over your head," which implied that she couldn't handle things that other people could. That was unacceptable, and would not be allowed to continue.
Still, the praise was nice, especially after such a trying evening, and Irene smiled as she pulled Shangri-La up, or thought she did. "Thank you. You are both quite good as well." Irene never minded giving compliments and acknowledging other people's abilities. She just couldn't stand when they refused to do her the same courtesy. These people didn't seem like that, not really, so she was willing to play along.
As an afterthought, she pulled her phone out and snapped a photo of the pair. It might not hurt to be able to contact them again sometime. Not that she planned on needing their help, or anything like that. But they were both nice, and she liked knowing nice people. That was all. Really.
"I am glad to have met the pair of you as well." Irene still clutched her phone, frowning at it. "It occurs to me that I don't know your names- my apologies for not introducing myself sooner. I am Sailor Irene, Senshi of... of Peace." Her actions that night had been far from peaceful, but they had been necessary, or so she told herself.

Both were a bit shocked that the girl was the senshi of peace, but each seemed to ignore that fact, both separately coming to the conclusion that maybe it was just taking her a while to come into the role.
Maia smiled, "I'm Salior Maia, Senshi of Song," she said summoning her senshi phone and scanning Irene in. She thought it would be good to have the girl's number, just in case, but that was how Maia felt about most senshi.
Shang gave a small bow, "Thank you. Im Shangri-La of Pluto," he said straightening up and preceding to straighten his wrinkled clothes out. He gave a yawn and sighed, "Sorry, tired now. It was a long day.
Maia nodded at her brother before looking back to Irene, "I think it's time we get out of here. It's late and you both are probably tired. Youma fight, right into a spar. I do not envy you. Shall we call it a night?"

The reactions to her sphere weren't totally unexpected, but they did give Irene pause. For a brief moment, before she set it aside. She was just doing what she had to do. That was all. Anyone in her place would do the same.
"I agree, it's been a long night. Going home now would be best." Irene curtsied, shakily, to Maia and Shangri-La. "My thanks again for your... your assistance, in all aspects. Please, have a good night."
Then she was off, wobbling down the sidewalk, trying to get out of sight before she powered down and hailed a taxi. She didn't want the others to see how completely exhausted she was. Better to leave them with the impression of... what was it again?
"Spirit and dogged determination," Irene murmured, smiling. She liked the sound of that.
