Freya snatched her coat back and slid it back on, unsnapping the hooks in the back and sliding them around her wings before snapping it all closed again. Then she took a step back, and watched as Kettil tried on both coats for her in his little fashion show. Her lower lip was firmly trapped between her teeth, both in thought and in inescapable attraction. Why did he have to look so good in coats, too? It wasn't fair, really.

But in the end, she realized she couldn't decide. "Close them both, let me sees how they looked when they are all closed up too, is important." She looked away, and took a deep breath to calm herself down. It was important to stay focused right now, she reminded herself. This was an important decision, and she couldn't let her teen hormones cloud her judgement.

He didn't seem upset as she asked her to close the coats. Kettil closed up the current coat he had on and made sure he could still move about in it. It was deemed acceptable and he slipped it off so he could do the same thing with the other coat as well.

Kettil was more about function and movement than he was about how it looked on him at this point.

"Glad you're here, I'd have just picked the first thing I saw," he laughed cheerfully.

Closing the coats had a conflicting effect. It helped her make her decision, and it also flattered his figure so much better, outlining every curve and defining feature of his body-

Freya folded her hands in front of her childishly and pursed her lips, her face pinching in focus. "Mmmmmm." She hummed thickly, taking that step forward to get a closer look at the one he was wearing, now that it was closed. Instantly, she realized it was a mistake, as her hands lifted up to run up his body, following the curve of his waist.

"This one." Freya's voice had turned husky, and deep. "Buy this one."

At least she'd made a decision. Before ripping it off of him.

He draped the coat that was not the one picked on a random coat hanger and then leaned to kiss Freya lightly, "Alright," he grinned a bit. Kettil liked the affect he had on her. Decision made, they had been responsible enough. He lightly nipped at her bottom lip before playfully moving away so he could make the purchase.

Freya wasn't the only one that could play the 'chase me' game.

But as soon as he kissed her, any thoughts of coats fluttered like happy little owls right out of her window. She leaned up into his lips, letting out a tiny whimper when his teeth grazed against her lip and pulled it up into his mouth. But suddenly she was left cold and Kettil-less, and she stumbled forward, as if her body had been moving in that direction the entire time, and with nothing to stop it, it just kept going.

She caught herself, and her lower lip jutted out in a thick, childish pout as she stared at his retreating figure. No fair. ):

Instead of chasing him, however, she picked the coat off the hangar, and re-hung it, flattening it carefully and then slipping it back into its rightful place. She tried not to look in his direction anymore as she did so.

For the moment he was caught up in making the purchase and after he was done he'd simply put the coat back on again after the tags were removed. He strolled back over toward Freya and noted how she wasn't gazing at him anymore.

He missed it.

"Freeyaaaa," He stood behind her now as he called to her.

She almost looked. She almost looked, but just as her body was betraying her by turning, she caught herself and gave him a haughty side glance, before turning back to the coats. "Ja? Yeh done now? We goes. I wants teh takes a look down the North side of the maul, I heard a store might be havings a sale."

She reached around and groped at him a little until she blindly found his hand (after blindly finding a few other things by mistake) and intertwined fingers, before leading him out of the store.

Without looking at him.

The things she blindly found made him utter a small quiet sound even as he let her take his hand. He followed along after her quietly for now not making much effort to get her to look at him just then, probably because he had a rather deep blush going on just then.

Now it was Kettil's turn to look at her. Even when she was pretending to be pouty at him for something he did, she was still beautiful. He smiled lightly as he watched her and he leaned toward her, "No one is more beautiful than my Princess," he cooed softly at her. Then there was a pause as he kissed the side of her neck and breathed, "No. My Queen."

What was she fussing about, again? She couldn't even remember why she was pouting anymore, as her mind blanked out completely the moment his lips met her neck. She tripped on her own feet, but kept walking, staring blankly ahead with her mouth slightly agape. She was trying to process the emotions Kettil stirred within her, the way it felt to hear him call her his Queen like that, the warmth that flooded her from his kiss - and process all of these things while still walking in the maul. Speech did not come to her, but she did manage to find some strength by leaning heavily against him, while both of her arms wrapped around his arm. She looked up at him (was she supposed to not be looking? She couldn't remember) with wide, devoted eyes, and let out a very long, very dramatic sigh.

She was a ghoul in love.

She still couldn't manage coherent thought, though.

He supported her gladly, walking with her through the maul even as she hung on him. The more she leaned on him the more secure he felt, happier he felt. Kettil beamed gently down at her as she stared at him again.

That was much better.

Call him narcissistic but he liked it best when her eyes were upon him, simply because he could delight in the color of them when they were. It was as if he could never memorize the shade of blue they were until they were upon him again. Blue like sky, blue like water, blue like sapphires, but these were comparisons that never seemed good enough.

Suffice it to say he was just as devoted and in love as she was.

"Jeg elsker deg," he said to her simply. Kettil had been practicing.

Walking without looking ahead was a dangerous pasttime.. yet neither of them seemed to be very worried about the consequences.

She didn't know if she'd ever seen a prettier shade of green than Kettil's eyes. She was just about to remark on them, when he told her he loved her. She laughed and responded with an automatic flow, her mind clicking back to her native language without yet realizing anything had changed. "Ig jeg elsker deg, elskling." But the moment her tongue stilled, her brows furrowed, and she realized that she was speaking Norwegian. Then she realized HE had spoken Norwegian. Lastly, she realized that he had memorized the way to say I love you in her native tongue, and she melted into a puddle of goo right there on the maul floor.

At least, that was what it felt like. She'd stopped walking, and a tiny little sound escaped her, her hands thrown up to hide her mouth as she reveled in how sweet it was. Then she took a moment, her face pinching in thought, and attempted..

"Ne'en.. ayayaokeyal." She.. had not been practicing. ):

It was either people move or they get trampled as far as Kettil was concerned. Thus far there were no casualties because of how he and Freya weren't really watching where they were going. He stopped when she stopped seeming curious as to what the noise was about. He'd caught on to what she had said and accepted it as her saying she loved him in return, but this was something altogether more interesting.

Then she tried to tell him that she loved him in his language and he smiled a bit.

Quietly he cupped her cheek and kissed her nose, "Perfect."

It phonetically it wasn't perfect, but the fact that she had tried at all did make it perfect.

Freya's face felt like it fit perfectly in the crook of his hand. She nestled into it, and squished her nose when he kissed the tip of it. She knew what she'd said wasn't perfect, or even close; but he didn't judge. He didn't tease. He didn't correct. Somehow, it felt like he wasn't even calling her words perfect. Just her.

Coming from the gentle, loving soul hidden deep behind those gorgeous green eyes, almost made her believe it.

Freya's smile was gone, replaced by a look of utter astonishment. She lifted her hands up to press against each of his cheeks now, holding him with a gentle tenderness just to keep him there while she lost herself in those eyes.

"Oh, Hooter." She breathed out, almost regretfully. "How did it take me so long."

She'd always known she couldn't live without him. She'd never realized just how deep that well went.

He was simply watching her at this point. Were they out in public? Nope. Once again the world had melted away from around them and it was just them. Two Reapers so enraptured in their emotions for each other.

Kettil lightly pressed his forehead against hers, "Now is all that matters, right? I just appreciate that I have you all the more now."

Granted he had, in the past, resolved to just let her be with someone else. That was when she seemed to be happy and he thought he was content with how it was all turning out. Now he was truly content, truly happy.

Even the way he soothed her aching heart was perfect. Kettil lived each day to its fullest, and took each day one at a time; and it was exactly, so exactly, what she wanted. He didn't regret the past; and when she thought about it, she couldn't say she did either. Everything had led up to this, and this, too, would lead to something else. She knew the thought should have frightened her - she should have crumbled at the idea of the mere possibility that one day, Kettil could look at her with the eyes of a man who didn't-

The flash of cold blue made her heart clench, and suddenly, she did feel that fear. She trembled in his arms, and then pressed up against him, her face turning down to smush into his chest. Her hands let go of his face, and wrapped, very tightly, around his waist.

There was a time, long ago, when she promised herself she would never love again, if only to keep this kind of fear from ever touching her heart.

She was long past that childish notion now, but it frightened her no less.
