"Aint nobody getting me stuck in the corner."Leon hissed back to Melvin, ruffled by the rash comment. The corner always meant pummel city, he'd rather be on the ropes than stuck there. Just hearing the threat about the corner sparked a fire in the life trainee as he began to swerve around the snake and shadow boxed with its face.
"hey, im over here, come on, you gotta work on your footwork. err, bodywork." he paled slightly, recalling the enemy's lack of lower limbs.

The snake did not like Leon's taunting, and while it was distracting, the snake moved and sapped at the Hunter, ducking low to strike and in time for Melvin's shot to fly overhead. "Damnit!"

"What do you want me to do, put it in a headlock?" Leon snarled back. Melvin was such a backseat fighter. He could already tell the snake was far too large to wrap an armspan around, nor would bhe be crazy enough to do it.
But going after the tail? Yes he would grab onto it and cause the snake to go in a fit of rage against him when it whirled around to face him.

Melvin smiled. "Yeah. Give it a headlock." He called back, more or less teasing the man for head-locking him in the library. What Leon did was go for it's tail.
Snake distracted, Melvin lined up his aim and fired, hitting it's chest. "Yeah, keep that up!" He waited for his gun to reload.

"Sure, and while im distracting the snake, i can create a antitoxin in my body when it INEVITABLY BITES ME!" Leon yelled back as he went about the motion to put the tail in a full nelson. The snake did not seem fond of that.

"Oh, like you were super speedy when I was the bait?" He aimed again. With the snake now trying to wiggle Leon free and snapping his tail back and forth, it was extremely difficult to aim.
Swearing under his breath, he fired again.

"You try swinging a chainsaw around, you little pop gun user." came the indignant reply . The snake was already getting bored of the bait game leon was playing.
"stop whipping your tail back and forth!" he barked out and tried to punch it with the chainsaw on a fang. The snake jerking away in the result..

"You try aiming when a snake is jerking this way and that!" He called back, taking offense that just because he had a gun, it was somehow easy on him. Guns were WAY harder than they were in movies and crime shows. Aiming was always a problem no matter how big something was.
Case in point - a egg that shot out and hit the wall instead.

Leon just thinks that Melvin needs to stop shaking and thinking about the spider body that was slowly crawling behind him.
In the meantime he was going to try and wrestle with the snake and lose his shirt from the battle. "Theres a dirty joke in there somewhere, I'll revisit that when i''m not struggling for my life."

Melvin's mind went a bit more quick to try and come with a joke, but then stomped that train of thought because he was TRYING to aim here.
Luckily Leon was doing his job and Melvin got a nice headshot in the process. "Nice!"

Leon wasn't going to admit it, but the headshot was well timed before it could try and take off his own skull.
Plus the entire time the guy didn't hit him, those were brownie points, that thankfully was not covered in egg goo poison. "not bad for a rookie." the boxer teased lightly.
He wasn't just going to hand out those compliments like they were cookies.

"That's not bad for anyone." Melvin said with a smile, far too proud he actually had more hits than misses. Maybe he was actually improving. It was a inspiring thought.
Moving over, he noticed the snake was loosing some of it's vigor, and tried to distract it with wide arm movements to get it's attention. "Try hitting it!"

"Dont let your ego get bigger than your shoe size sharpshooter." Leon jested back, switching places with the gunner. Well it was only right that he would be a much better shot than himself. Either that or one lucky life member. It took a moment or two, but the realization that melvin wanted him to take the next few shots sunk in.
There was no denying the killing ability of a chainsaw compared to a poison egg shooter.
"Ill try to do you one better and decapitate it." as he tried to hack at its upper body the tail got its revenge instead as it knocked him aside. and focused on the blond, stringy delight.
The irony of having to take his own advice made him chuckle at an awkward time.

"Cutting Melvin some snake steaks so he can eat them then."
And so began Leon's venture into learning how to fillet a snake for consumption for one dorky Life trainee. The Snake let out a hiss of alarm and the squelch of tissue meeting blade and the spider head had a decapitated buddy to join it in misery.
"You asked, and i obeyed, here have a steak." he offered and threw a slab of meat at him.
The boxer was glad his weapon came with gloves and protective eyewear.
