Tobias simply stared back at Phyl, then looked to Vic again... then at the bird. "I don't want to talk to her. There's something wrong." He shook his head. Apparently that natural intimidation Shadow's had was freaking him out too much to make him want to talk to Phyl... Cute bird or no. Upon Yoo's arrival, he simply stared at the other Meta, and watched him leave... Then looked to the door when more guests started arriving. There sure were a lot of them... He seemed disappointed until he saw Ekaksha walk in. Her perked up and papped at Vic's arm, blinking a few times. "He has a tail too!!"
River waved back at Nadia, but since she was talking to someone else, he didn't go to her. That would be rude. Instead he went to get himself some punch... Was that Isolde? And Kei? Wow they were really grown up, too. He debated waving at them, but wasn't really sure if they'd remember him...
Silas flashed his sleepy smile, nodding his head. "Yes~ Mummy said I should wear somethin, so I gotted a sweater an' put a tree onnit." He nodded again. "You look naiss, Nadia. S'at what y'werr for Halloween?"
Aiden perked up upon seeing Edmund and Willow, she grinned, both of their costumes definitely fit them. Especially Edmund... even if he didn't seem too comfortable with it. "Thank you Willow. You both look very nice, your costumes suit you very well." She nodded a little. "How have you been?"
Well, once she had gotten away from the two teens, Adessi wandered over to the remaining unoccupied seats and climbed onto one, swinging her feet slightly. She looked around at the other kids, a small, unintentional frown on her face. So many people made her a little nervous... especially since she didn't know anyone at all.

Fred coughs awkwardly, smiling at Cambria "Why does he owe you glitter...?" She had to be honest; she hates pigtails. But Cambria liked them, so that was a great thing!
Phyl glances up at Cupid as he sits on Yoo's hat, chirping happily "Nah, he's a mangy fluff Tick Ball Tock who loves Tick getting into trouble." Cupid was about to squawk in protest, but then realized hey, it's true! "THink he was picking Tick on the guy over there." She points at Vic "Apparently Tick he smells really nice."

All this time Vic had kept his sights on his brother and the girl but when Tobi began to started to make a commotion he turned his sights to him. "Ok ok we won't talk to the girl." He was about to give the boy a pat on the head until he heard the other comment and turned to look at who Tobi was talking about. "Huh? Oh yeah he does. I think he's one of us. See everyone is different." Vic paused then got a new idea, one he thought would be a little odd and out of his comfort zone but if it would make his son happy he'd do it. Do you wanna talk to that guy about his tail?" He asked before actually going for it since Tobi threw fits whenever he was forced to do something he didn't like.
Yoo couldn't help think just how cute the girl was with her tick and tock in her speech. He almost wanted to hug her but he had this feeling she wouldn't like it. "It's probably what he uses in his hair that your little friend likes. My brother loves smelling good." The adult laughed, having to cover his mouth. "Don't tell him I told you that. He would pout so much at me. He's always a grump but never mean."

Tobias looked back to Sha, then to Vic again, shifting uncomfortably. "Maybe... But talking is hard." He frowned, shaking his head a little. "Scary..."

"I know the feeling so guess that's a no. Leas you know there are others with a tail." That plan was blown but it was worth a shot in asking. Guess he would have to let Tobi come out of his shell slowly. No point in rushing it since it would probably lead to something bad. "Well if you see anybody you wanna talk to go on over. I could come along with you if you want." Vic was starting to think maybe a kid that was more forward would work out though that could also go bad. Parenting was harder than he thought but he was sure that's how it was with his parents. "Bet you'll find a friend sooner or later." The adult said as he began looking around looking at everyone there. He really hadn't gotten to know anyone to make friends with but he didn't really care. He had his family and his wife which was enough for him though sometime he thought it would be nice to find someone to have a jam session with him. Would be better than playing by himself.

"My thoughts exactly!" Laughs Lyuben, licking his lips as he downs his drink. "Seems an awful waste of time, if you ask me. Mind you, I have never tried it, so what do I know, really?" He chuckles once more and then bows low. "Lyuben Pranay, at your service." He takes her hand and kisses it as he rises. "And who might you be, my dear?" Oh my yes, but you are a smooth operator, Lyuben, aren't you? He thinks to himself.
A happy harlequin hops humorously into the room. Sharma, dressed as a jolly jester, stops and stares in awe at all the decorations, a wide smile on his face. Giggling, he prances about the room a few times, lollygagging here and there to look at all the colorful costumes and ornaments. Eventually, he spots Adessi in the crowd, and skips on over to her. "Hey you! Nice cream puff costume!" he chirps, grinning happily at her.

Yeah... Maybe if he were my age... but he's older..." Tobias shrugged a little. "Everyone seems kind of... busy. Sort of... like they all know each other already..."" He rubbed at his head, that girl with the feathers for hair had pointed at him, and looked like she recognized him, but he hadn't seen her anywhere... had he? "Do you know who that girl is?
He pointed at Cambria.
Adessi looked up from whatever it was she'd stared off into space at, eyes meeting with Sharma's. Well, sort of, she was shorter than him. "C-cream puff?" She stared down at her new dress, and then looked back up at Sharma. "Oh... I guess... it could be a cream puff..." She looked his costume over. "I am not surprised that you are a jester, Pudding."
Nova momentarily appeared just to shove poor little Zandri into the ball. "Now go make friends, dear. There's a lot of new kids here and a lot of other students, everyone is friendly! Don't be too shy, now." She papped him on the head, smiling sweetly, and then trotted off to do god knows what it is that Elders do.

Poor Zandri, indeed. One minute he was minding his own business, cleaning up a clothes pile and listening to piano music. The next, he was being scooted along to the party! He looks around, feeling a little scared, but trying to look brave. Although, it doesn't work out so well, so instead of looking brave, he tries to stay close to the wall and the snacks. Shame that that's the EXACT opposite of "not being shy."

Lenora laughs a bit as her hand is kissed, a small smile on her face again. "Well, ah, it's very nice to meet you, Lyuben," She nods, the smile on her face growing. "Im Lenora! Well, er, Lenora Auxila, that's my full name, really..." She pauses, a frown forming on her face yet again. "And yes, something like that seems like... Quite a waste of time, really... Who even does that, though? Seems kind of silly, really." She nods, so sure of this. So sure, she takes a sip from that punch to establish how totally sure she is of this fact.

"Quite a waste of time, quite a waste of time indeed!" Lyuben nods enthusiastically. "Much like this ball. Why, this place is absolutely dead! What a shame that they'd go to all the trouble of making tis gymnasium look like... well, a gymnasium, but with streamers... and nobody has any fun in it. Wouldn't you like to have some fun, Lenora?" He flashes her a grin and winks.
Sharma giggles, jingling the bells on his hat. "Yeah, it was weird! I came home and told me dads that I was going to a nightmare before Christmas dance, and before I even finished telling them, they shoved this costume in me arms! They had this shimmer in their eyes as if they'd been waiting for this moment their whole lives and did you just call me pudding?"

"What girl?" His head turned to the direction that Tobi pointed to seeing two girls, one with green hair and another with feathers for hair. Neither of them looked familiar to the incubus of course. Most of the people there were pretty much new to him. "Nah don't know her at all. What do you wanna talk to that girl? She's a little bit older for you." Vic laughed even though it probably wouldn't be funny to Tobi.

He shook his head. "No, she's busy... she pointed at me though and seemed like she knew me.. but I dunno her." He frowned a little and folded his arms across his chest. So far this ball thing was not very fun and he was starting to regret coming in the first place. "This is dumb."
Adessi blinked a few times. "They already had it...?" She shook her head, giggling. "Your dads sound kind of scary... and yes! I do not remember your name. I remember that you would not stop talking about pudding, though." She huffed a little.
Echo tapped his foot a little. The incoming stream of new people were leaving much to be desired. Though there were a couple of gems, namely Kei and Nadia, though Nadia's costume could be so much better. Still, she looked good in it. That was good. Yes...
but then there was that other kid in another hideous christmas sweater. Echo had to turn away from the door to regain composure. Why did people think those things were acceptable articles of clothing??! He wept internally for the fashion sense of his fellow students.

The large incubus sighed seeing another attempt failed. How he wished that Moira was there because he was sure that she could get Tobi to interact with at least one kid. Again Vic looked around and spotted the snack table. "How about a snack? I think there are drinks over there too." There was no way he wanted Tobi to leave so soon but again he wasn't going to force him if he didn't want to do it.

"Silas owes me glitter because Alice never let me have any and he promised to get some for me. Oh look Tobi's pointing back! I'm gonna have to catch up with him later." Cambria grinned and waved at him. "Man that kid has a confusing life."
"Anyway, Silas. Glitter. We met at a hotel where one of those pageants I told you about was being held. We hung out for a while. He's a funny guy."
Sha was pretty oblivious to the attention he was garnering from the other incubi at the party. He was more interested in the snack table. "Come on Trae, snacks! I wonder if anyone I know's here yet. Woah, I'm not sure who wins the pink award, you or that kid over there in the tutu."
"Sha. I don't care about the pink award, and you tried to put me in a tutu earlier!" Trae fussed while glancing over to where some very pink kid was looking really pissed off in a corner. "And I think he's supposed to be a jellyfish."

Isolde smiled at her best friend and prepared to compliment him back - he was obviously feeling a lot more daring tonight than he had in the past - but she caught site of Ask headed over, zombie-like in his intent to get to his boyfriend. "You look great, too, Kei, but I think Ask might need you. I'm just going to leave you two alone."
Isolde gave Kei a quick hug, and scarpered off to the other side of the decorate gym, nearer to the punch bowl. She got herself a drink, sat at an empty table, and looked at the clock. Oliver was supposed to pick her up tonight so that gave her . . . about forty minutes of people watching before she could reasonably make her escape to pack.
Hinote had been intending to skip the ball - really it hadn't even been on her radar. What she was going to do was see if Sha wanted to do another pantry raid, but all the dorms were mysteriously empty when she went looking. It was only than that Hinote took a look at the posters that had been put up around the academy - a Nightmare Before Christmas Ball?
Hinote had to throw her costume together quickly - and settled on something her mother would not approve of at all. She ran an ungodly amount of gel through her ungodly amount of hair and gave it a few good shakes so it would look wet, put on a white nightgown, and filched a plastic sword from one of the playrooms. She was the lady of the lake.
Her feet bare, she ran as fast as she could to the gym, and entered,breathing heavily. She still didn't know many people, but at least this might be amusing and was better than stealing marshmallows by herself.
