Roland offered a slight thumbs up as he continued to stare out to the ocean back to Rep before turning his head to glimpse at the hunter as he moved towards shore. "I'll keep it in mind, thanks, for the advice."
Turning around proper he watched Rep now as he spoke about his friendships nodding just a slight bit again. "It's not always that bad." He said quietly, he was still here wasn't he? He had a slight pause at the realization Rep was swimming in a speedo before running to the edge of the rock making a sharp dive swimming to the shallows before walking out shaking water from his hair.
"You think the weathers changing out there cooling it down?"

"Oh I dunno so much, you can really ******** s**t up without even meaning to in friendships. I do it all the time." He smirked wistfully. "But I think you are good, I don't think you lose your temper as much as I do."
He eyed the sea thoughtfully for a moment, rubbing the feeling his arms with the towel. "Couldn't say man. I've just been in here all morning, it's just starting to get to me now. I could go with a nice big ******** mug of hot chocolate and a warm, dry fluffy blanket." He figured swimming around earned him enough masculinity points to cash in on some sissy comforts.

"Eh, I might have made a few mistakes..." He said as he walked along the beach shallows towards his own boots grabbing the towel sitting beside it shaking out the sand. "Not temper no, but... I said some stupid things too and yeah. Talking about Sylvia out loud too much."
He started with his hair and body before lazily wrapping the towel over his shoulders and slinging his boots over his shoulder. "That.... sounds amazing." He paused for a moment, "I wish I had a good bathrobe, it's like a blanket but somehow better..."

"Everyone makes mistakes and s**t, just some people make more than others." He didn't sound grim about it though, smirking at Ro. "Live and learn." He picked up his phone and briefly skimmed twitter, apparently an unconcious habit as he didn't seem to realise he was doing it before he looked back to Ro
"I love my housecoat." Rep offered gruffly. There weren't many things he'd use as strong a word as love for but his housecoat was one. It made decadent lounging around entirely possible and saved him the hassle of like, actually getting dressed while he was in the privacy of his room. "Had to get a silk one though since I got here. Its too ******** warm."

The smirk was enough to get Roland to smile back, a smirk of his own as he fished his own phone out of one of his boots taking a quick glance, nothing interesting to him at least.
"I didn't think to bring one," he shrugged, "They didn't give me much time to pack before shipping me off and I guess sticking me in a pod. I'm guessing you got yours on one of those vacation days? Candace keeps mentioning we get time off island via portals."

"Aye I got it on holiday from the island. With what little money I had." he sighed wistfully. "What I wouldn't ******** give for some leave man. I've got a lot of s**t I really want to do and not half enough time to do it in. Plus running out of essentials." Thinking about his mostly empty tins of hot chocolate was almost too much to bear.
"We need leave and soon."

"Still more money then me though right now at least, you're above Trainee's aren't you? More pay, and an extra day of leave right? I don't even have enough scratch to get my ipod fixed to work on the island." Of course he raised an eyebrow at the essentials comment. "Coco and booze?" He hazarded the guess, one he never saw the red head without in the same way Jordan and almost every other hunter drank coffee, and the later, well it was Rep after all.
"Man I hope I don't get stuck at the end of a waiting list to take leave since I'm still fairly new."

"Well aye, I apparently get more pay than trainees but most of my money ends up going on like, fixing s**t I broke and aye, like. Hot chocolate and booze. Amongst other s**t. I'm running out of blades for my razor and whatever. Its getting annoying." He had to keep that sad ginger moustache at bay somehow and Tracey was way too ******** big to use as an improvised straight-edge.
"When leave comes up everyone will be on it like white on rice. Its been way too ******** long. You might have to wait, you might not."

"They let you buy stuff to fix and replace? Hell Aria has me rebuilding that desk I wrecked because 'it's what a mist would do' or some such. I mean yeah I'm supposed to know all kinds of stuff but fixing a desk?" He shook his head. "I have maybe 5 pairs of clothes to my name, I need more clothing, a decent set of lockpicks... the list goes on and on and I still want the ipod most of all."
He ran a hand through his hair frowning, "Maybe I'll just wait to the initial rush is over." He glanced towards the dorms before starting to walk through the sand towards them. "And those portals could take you anywhere at all?"

"Aria's a b***h." Rep offered helpfully. He'd only met the Mist lead once, but of course simply by definition of being female, she had to be a b***h. "If you'd gone to the quartermaster you might have gotten a new one. Or just steal one from all the ******** loads of empty or flooded rooms around. You have no resourcefulness man. You want something on this island, you take it or get it yourself. As far as clothes. Well. I just kind of help myself to the guys stuff, so I don't know so much about that."
He did pause and give Ro a really strange look. "The ******** would you need lockpicks for? I mean I though you were a creeper but wow." The last time he'd known a guy with lockpicks it was for breaking into construction yards and stealing the equipment, he couldn't think of much use for them on the island with its high tech and often magical safeguards.
He shrugged. "But aye, they can take you anywhere. Anywhere at all."
