"Roch," Terra repeated, her expression turning petulant. "Always this Roch fellow, he will fix this, he will fix ME, I do not like him already! What is so special about this Roch that he can fix things that full grown adults cannot?" she demanded, her irritation breaking free of her usual sweetheartedness. "Is he a magician? Is he a wonder boil of some sort? You know him, so tell me, why is Roch so special that my own PADRE foists me off on him like an unwanted minipet? When he is not even here!!" Did a part of her WANT him there? She didn't notice. She was too angry at Vegas for that line about "Roch will take care of it."

...Ah, alright, here is where the connection to Austin came in then. She knit her brows in concern as the ghoul blew into a rant, trying to get a grasp on what in Halloween was going on. Padre? Er..."Your father wanted to drop you on Roch?" She asked carefully, her expression becoming puzzled. Why would they--
--...well, unless they were related somehow, of course.
...Austin wasn't her father, was he? The baku's expression became unamused at the thought.

"They do not even TRY to deal with the problem that is their fault--HIS fault, no, they say 'Roch will take care of this' and I hate them! HATE THEM!" she yelled, slapping her hand on the table. "They are all--all--idiotas! And he is related to them and that makes him an idiota as well!" She scowled, practically pouting. "And now he is across the hall, and I am surrounded by familia when they were never--EVER around before this!" She stood. "I am NOT an unwanted minipet," she said, pouting fully now. "To be handed around la familia like a dishtowel!"

Xiu wasn't entirely sure what to say, so she remained silent, pink eyes slightly round as she patiently waited for Terra to get through her rant. Things were starting to become a little clearer now, but she didn't have the full story. Even so, as curious as she was, the baku wasn't going to pry. It was clear that Terra wasn't...well, particularly happy with what was happening either.
"Of course you aren't unwanted," Xiu interjected when the ghoul finally paused, "And I don't know what's going on specifically but...Roch really isn't a bad guy. If you guys sat down and talked about it, maybe...?"

She hesitated, then sat down. "Because you say so, senorita Xiu, I will consider it." Which meant a LOT considering how irritated she was with the entire Scythe family at the moment. Of course, there WAS the shop lifting issue... which she wasn't about to tell the lovely demoness about. No, not at all. Xiu would NEVER hear of that. "Do you wish for some dessert? I think I have some fruit!" she offered, changing the subject.

The baku smiled, relaxing a little at Terra's words. Taking a sip of her water, she motioned towards their surroundings. "If it makes you feel better, now that you've joined our school, you're part of the Amityville family now. As silly as it might sound, I mean." She laughed, and then grinned at the mention of dessert.
"Please! I'd like to chat with you more anyways, so..."
Although she was still not clear on Austin's intentions, Xiu was glad for this chance to meet Terra. As she spent the next hour or so speaking to the reaper ghoul, the baku mused how she was going to fit right in with their Amity family.
