It was ok, Jake. Armagnac was pretty you weren't trying hard enough, either. And she was making sure Sherry knew her current opinion of you.

Armagnac was purring.
"Nice work. One down, one to go." Sherry had this. She could do this.
Sherry took a swipe at the creature. The bellowing that erupted in her head caused her to flinch. Holy crap, Armagnac. I know I missed. You don't have to yell at me for it.

"Thanks." She practically tossed the word at Jake before attempting to find a better angle to attack from.

The weapon was very pleased.
So was Sherry. Loud and happy Armagnac was better than loud and angry.
And it seemed like Jake was doing his part well enough. She'd have to thank him again later.

Sherry had been doing well. And you would think a large shadow creature was an easy target. But no. No, she totally missed that thing.
