As Dogsbane sped up, so did Feverfew. The energetic doe sprinted along near him, her muscles burning from strain, but in a good way. She was getting a good workout and could feel it.
"C'mon, Dogs! Almost! Just a liiiiiittle bit further!"

Dogs was out of breath. He fell to his belly again, eyes closing. He wasn't going to make it. some runner...

The poor rabbit! How, in the name of Frith, had he managed to become a runner. Maybe he was just exhausted from the previous races. Regardless, the doe backtracked slightly again, using gravity to make the work easier. She wouldn't outpace him too much, now because she felt some pity for him. She didn't want him to feel too terrible about it.

Dogs slowly gots to his paws, hopping though the hill was starting to level out. He heaved a few times. "I-I'm sorry...i can't run like this."
