"You're just encouraging her stealing hobby," Vegas said.
"Un momento!" Terra said, pulling out of the big breasted lady's hold. "I am not here to be lectured or claimed! I am here for revenge!" she declared, holding her violin in a dramatic way, body towards the large reaper that had helped create her. "You ABANDONER!"
"I'm still not sure she's mine," Vegas said conversationally. He didn't even blink when Monica crossed the room, picked up the ashtray on the table, and overturned it right over his head.
"Hmph," said the pole dancer, turning and stalking away.

Nahm fidgeted a little, for once uncertain; amusing as this was, it felt like business that should be conducted between family. Nevertheless, excusing himself might be trouble as well. The young reaper would need an escort back to school. She was young and pretty, but the denizens of the area knew that the grue twins were sometimes on Vegas's business and not to be bothered by now.
"Sir," he said, flicking his eyes towards Chank. "Should I stick around?"
"Vegas?" Chank had stretched his legs out in his chair, clearly intending to stay put and enjoy the show. "Whatcha think?"

"Why don't you wait outside for a bit, boil," Vegas said.
"I will go with you," Terra said, grabbing for Nahm's arm. "I have no wish to be here with this--person," she added at Vegas in a scathing tone.
"Wait just one moment," Vegas said, finally standing. "You and I need to talk, little ghoul, if you ARE my daughter--"
Someone stepped out of the shadows of the stairway leading upstairs. He looked almost exactly like Roch would in about twenty years. He had a cigarette hanging from the corner of his mouth. "I'll take her," Austin said. "She's my sister, but she's young enough to be my kid. We'll pass her off as that."
Vegas spluttered. He honestly spluttered, which was almost enough to make Austin smirk. "Chank," the younger Scythe said with a slight nod. "This one of your boils?" he added, glancing at Nahm.
Terra just looked confused now.

Nahm nodded, and was about to move for the stairs when Terra grabbed at his arm. He stilled, the glow of his eyes flickering briefly in his hood. Volatile situation; best thing to do was to wait and see which way things swung.
"Hi, kid," Chank said as Austin stepped in, then, in response to the question, "Grandkids - this one's Nahm. Nahm, Austin, be polite, he's your compadre's daddy."
"Nice to meet you, sir," Nahm said, nodding, and remained where he was.

"Nahm, huh? As Roch's old man, thanks for being his pal," Austin said, his eyes on the little blonde even as he said it. He crossed over to her, looking at her made up face, then landing on the violin. "But as much fun as it is meeting one of his closest... bros, I'd like to talk to my new daughter about the shop lifting."
"I am not your daughter," Terra said. "I am HIS daughter--" she looked at Vegas. "Can I claim not to be of this familia?" she asked Nahm. "Yes, yes I will do that. I think it is time to return to school," she added a bit haughtily. "Shall we, senor Nahm?"
"Roch is going to find out, huh," Vegas said.
"She's holding onto one of his best friends like he's a security blanket, you old geezer, he'll find out."
"Let's let HIM deal with her, then."

Nahm looked to his grandfather first; when Chank nodded slightly, he started moving towards the door. "Well then," he said brightly. "Wanna go meet your nephew? He flails really nice when you surprise him, and you're in the perfect position to do just that." He nodded respectfully towards Vegas and Austin. "If you don't mind, sir," he said to Vegas.
Chank leaned over to the table, righted the ashtray, and scooped a fresh cigar out of the box. "Miss Terra," he said, his voice low and scratchy and amused. "I'm making my grandson there - and his brother - accountable for you for the time being. If the boogies get on your case, you go to them, y'hear? Don't get my boils in too much trouble, ghoulie. If you gotta pull something, don't get caught."
Nahm sputtered slightly, but had the sense not to say anything about babysitting.

"Don't worry, boil, Roch will take over... soon as I can get ahold of his punkass," Austin said, making a promise that before this he would have never thought of making. "You seen the boil lately? I keep trying to call him--" "He hung up on me not too long ago," Vegas said, scowling. "He's probably off somewhere with no reception. But I appreciate it, Chank, and as always, my kids are yours if you need them--" Austin twitched. "Un momento!" Terra said, pulling away from Nahm. "I am not in need of a keeper! I do not know who this... Rock fellow is, or why you think he is so admirable, but I am a full grown woman! I do not need--" "Oh, baby, you're not NEARLY full grown," Monica said, sighing. "I'm going to take her upstairs and talk with her," she told the others. "Nahm, screechie, you can go home. I'll have one of these two take her home later, okay? Or if they're still being Mr. Poopiepants, I'll take her myself!" She reached for Terra's hand, smiling sweetly, and shockingly enough, Terra took it. "Mr..." Vegas said. "Poopiepants," Austin finished, both of them making the exact same face.

Chank laughed, clearly enjoying his old friend's sudden discomfiture. "Go on, boil," he said lazily. "Looks like it's ghoul stuff now; you'll just get in the way."
Nahm nodded and slunk towards the door. He'd come to the same conclusion his grandfather had. When ghouls banded together, boils who tried to interfere were likely to be sorry one way or another. He paused at the door to dip a small, respectful bow to the others in the room. "Scuse me, I should go study, got a test."

"If you see my boil," Austin said, "tell him I'm looking for him." He then tossed him a small pouch of silver seeds. "And thanks for looking out for our new little pai--princess," he added, smirking as he pulled his cigarette out of his mouth and blew out smoke. "Unlike these old geezers, I figure a good deed should never go without a tip."
