Had he expected her to make something up? Yes. Was he surprised when she didn't?
Oh, very.
Lou listened intently when she began stuttering. Sure, it wasn't much of an answer, but it seemed the baku had stepped out of her comfort zone for mere seconds. It was... Inspiring. Yes, lets go with that. "I see." Did he see? Was he just saying s**t to make himself sound smarter? Hard to tell, really. "Your patience, in that regard, is astounding. But you shouldn't let preconceptions of perfect romances keep you from testing waters. Sometimes-" Before she could fully retreat, the boil attempted to poke her forehead.
"You've got to crack a few eggs before you find a good one."
Not that he had any right to talk about relationships. No, no right whatsoever. After that note, Lou went right back to being... Lou. The boil folded his arms and leaned against the closet entrance. "I'll stop following you now. Come back and see me sometime, sweet cheeks. Maybe you could help me test the springs in my bed next visit."

The baku squeaked at the sudden forehead poke, instinctively lifting her hands to shield her head. However, she stared up at Lou with rather wide eyes, looking somewhat puzzled. His advice just now...that was actually, er, pretty well said, wasn't it? It wasn't quite what Xiu would have expected from Lou, but...
Looking a little sheepish, the baku found herself smiling despite herself. "I...yes, that's true. It'll take some time, I'm sure, but..."
She trailed off with a wry smile and a little shake of her head. It seemed as if they were about to part on a good note--the baku even gave a little nod when he mentioned visiting again--but the note turned a little sour at vampire's last minute, not-so-subtle suggestion. At once, Xiu's expression became flat.

"No thank you."
And then she marched out of the door.
...
A second passed before she popped her head back into view, cheeks puffed out. "Take care of yourself though, okay? Don't do anything stupid!" With that last warning, she turned to disappear down the hall.
