Vanya knitted her brows at her sister. "Don't be stupid, Galla. Whether he did it on purpose or not, the Flock needs to be made aware. We don't know what he is, what kind of power he possesses. Not to mention we can't have every guard pregnant. Who will protect us?"
Vanya eyed Vanmoriel. "We'll stay with you tonight, but in the morning the guards will be notified. Either by you or by us."
Breathing out a sigh, Vanya relaxed herself. "Eat something. I saw what little you threw up. You need your strength if you want your children to be healthy."

Vanmoriel shot her mother a pleading look. She was right, of course. This stallion was dangerous whether he did it purposely or not. "We'll help you through this, Galla. You're safe now, but you need to look after yourself and your children."
She shifted awkwardly, wanting to put a positive spin on the situation. But she couldn't really find one. She nudged some berries towards Galla, feeling a little useless.

Galla felt loved by her sisters, and cared for as they made much of her situation. She was feeling the fear lessen, as the idea finally sunk in. Maybe it wasn't what she wanted...but she was going to bring new life into the world. Beautiful new lives...
She nuzzled Vanya and then Vanmoriel, "Thank you." She was glad to stay with them, it'd be like a sleep over like from when she was a foal. "Thank you, I'm going to be okay."
Tossing her hair, she ate a few berries very slowly. "You can tell them, I won't...I won't condemn him for being under the same spell I was." She was convinced that it had been a spell.
She nudged Vanya in the shoulder, "Just admit it. You're jealous that you're not having more right now." She could feel herself flushing with pride. She would raise them well, and strong within the Flock.

Vanya watched Galla carefully. She truly believe this stallion wasn't a threat. Not an intentional one, at least. If she believed no other mare was in danger, then it was good enough for Vanya. "I won't say anything. But if it happens again you have to come forward. At least for support."
She gave a snort. "I doubt this stallion was as handsome as Taarab. The foals won't compare to my girls. I must say, I'm looking forward to the weight gain bringing you down a peg or two."
She gave Galla a smile. "You will be a wonderful mother. It comes easily enough. Don't be afraid to listen to your instincts."

Vanmoriel rolled her eyes at both mares. Between their egos alone, there was barely any room in the cave for her. But at least Galla was feeling a little better, which was all that mattered right now.
The younger mare nudged a few more berries forward, nibbling on some herself. More foals in the flock made her realise that she had yet to.. fulfill that part of her duties. She hadn't even given it any thought.. The process.. who she'd pick. She blushed lightly and coughed a little.
"Have you given names a thought? I know you weren't planning, but I'm not and I've played around with names sometimes. I wonder how many you'll have.."

Galla blushed when Vanya mentioned she'd be fat or that the babies wouldn't be as beautiful. "Well maybe not as pretty as Vanmoriel," she ran her claw gently and sweetly through Vanmoriel's hair. "But the others, yes. He was handsome....I think. Very blue."
She found herself giggling, a little excitedly. She felt kind of important. She ate a few more berries. "I...well, I had some names picked out." She thought on the names for a moment, she wouldn't tell them that her dream had always been to have a son. She wanted daughters too...but a son was what she had been dreaming of. Was that a sign maybe that she was dreaming that she would have sons?
"I've thought of two names in the past. One for a boy and the other for a girl. I guess...I'll have to think of more now. But Haidee for a boy and Estë Vairë for a girl." She blushed again, "So what fine stallion has you thinking of baby names Vanmoriel?"
She giggled, "If I get as big as your mom, I'm sure to have five!"

Vanya scoffed. "I wasn't that big." She pouted, pretending to be hurt for a moment before she laughed.
She smiled. "Those names are lovely."
Eyeing her daughter, she raised a brow and tilted her head. "Yes, do tell, Vanmoriel, what stallion has you thinking like this. And does your father know?"

Vanmoriel blushed as Galla complimented her and she ducked her head sheepishly. She nodded in agreement with her mother. "They are lovely, indeed."
At the accusatory look from her mother and Galla's question, Vanmoriel blushed deeply and shook her head. "No one, really. It was just a silly fantasy, you know?"

"Obviously you forgot how huge you were!" She giggled again.
"Thank you, I'll have to think of more though..I thought I had more...time." She blushed again before looking back at Vanmoriel, "And who are in those fantasies Vanmoriel?" She waggled her eyebrows playfully.
Her heart sank instantly though, "How am I going to tell Sulo?" She cared for him in a way, and he had been warming her nest. She probably would have taken that step with him later...what would he feel about himself about her when he found out she'd went elsewhere to do...this?

Vanya frowned lightly at Vanmoriel. She would interrogate the mare later. Turning her attention to Galla, she gave her a sympathetic look. She understood how she felt. She didn't know how she'd tell Taarab if she was in the same situation.
"Tell him the truth. You know he'll accept it. Even if he had a choice, he wouldn't judge you."

Vanmoriel dodged the question and turned the attention back on Galla. "Mother's right. The truth may sting him a little, but if you lie and he finds out.. The damage might be irreversible."
It felt odd talking like this; talking about caring about a stallion's feelings. But some mares were like that; some allowed themselves to show compassion, even fall in love. Vanmoriel wasn't sure what she felt for stallions. The concept was still so foreign to her. She admired the beauty of a few stallions.. but was that enough to choose a mate? It was for her mother.. but they're two different personalities.

Galla breathed deeply. She had never loved Sulo, but she had felt a certain fondness for him. She cared for him. She had met him as a foal, known his father. Perhaps that's why she chose him to warm her nest. Maybe in time things would have went along further...maybe they still would.
She had never been in love, and it was typically not the Harpy way. Maybe she would fall in love or maybe she wouldn't, but she did care enough about feelings. She didn't want to hurt Sulo.
"You're right, I will tell him the truth. I hope he understands it wasn't my outright choice." She sighed heavily. There would be more chances to have foals--to remember more of what went on to make them. She'd get to experience more the act of love before seeing the faces of her children.
It was going to be a long time before she saw their faces, but the excitement was beginning to fill her. She'd get to tell everyone now and everyone would be happy and curious. But they didn't have to know all the details, let them talk if they wanted. She was a strong warrior--a guard and they would give her respect.
"I don't think you can avoid it that easily Vanmoriel." She stuck out her tongue, "You can be their for the birth and maybe you won't get any ideas into your head too soon dear."
Galla wasn't even sure SHE wanted to be there for the birth.
