Mephistopheles suddenly appeared in front of Jin-Gitaxias, and was struck by Tenka. The gastly floated back up to Lenore, understanding his intentions. The duskull bowed to the emolga. "Greetings. I will be your second opponent for the duration of this match. Good luck."

Mephistopheles was hit by the emolga again, but he phased out to lessen the damage. His eye began to glow and he raised his arms as a fierce blizzard kicked up.

Tenka skillfully rode the icy winds, taking no damage. The wind did prevent him from hearing Shina's next command though. Operating according to his last instructions, he used Pursuit again.

Mephistopheles was hit once more, and he bowed. "This battle will be going nowhere favorable for us. I apologize, but I will be bowing out now."
Darkness erupted from Mephistopheles, and it rushed into Tenka. Red light engulfed Mephistopheles, and he was returned to the decrepit pokeball. Jin-Gitaxias floated down to the field.

Jin-Gitaxias was struck, and he exploded, igniting the lingering fumes and creating a fiery cataclysm. Lenore returned Jin-Gitaxias as well, waving slightly before leaving silently.

Singed, but victorious, Tenka swooped back to settle on the railing of the trainer's box next to Shina. She patted his head. "Good boy." Shina nodded to Lenore, then went to heal her pokemon.

As Lenore made her way to the pokemon center, she smiled at the pokeballs containing her friends. They had put on a good act; they already knew they likely wouldn't be able to win, they just wanted to get a feel for their opponent's capabilities. It was Gita's idea, and Mef agreed it would be good. And while they hadn't gotten to see Rei, they had seen Annabell and Tenka, two of Shina's best. She smiled. You guys did great.
Next time would be different.
