Haides gave an amused huff. "Quite frankly, he approached me." When she expressed interest in knowing more, he thought about it. "His personality was... very unlike Beta's. He was rather laidback, an Azrien that moves at a comfortable pace. But at the same time... the way he put it was that he 'moves to his own rhythm'. He's not really the obedient type." Which Beta was very much so, at least when it came to their parents. "But he had a similar... ability to what Beta possesses. One that allowed him to understand me even though we'd just met and I hadn't said much."

Jaromila laughed lightly when she heard the huff, nuzzling into him softly.
"Well, that is good that he could understand him, my dearest one. I do not suppose I was brought into the conversation at all, was I?"she asked him.

Haides couldn't seem to keep the smile off of his face now, because when Jaromila laughed and nuzzled him, it came back. "You were one of the main topics, love." Nuzzling her back, he continued, "I'm glad. Otherwise I might've taken longer to come back."

Jaromila chuckled at what her beloved said, glad he was able to come back sooner.
"I do hope the conversation was all nice stuff, dear. Also, I am glad as well, I would not have liked you away any longer than needed. I prefer you here beside me,"she smiled.

Haides smiled. "If it wasn't, I don't think he would've been so insistent that I come rushing back." And there came that smile again. "I'm glad the feeling's mutual," he replied softly. Nudging her, he asked, "Are we almost there?" He hoped so; he was tired. But at the same time, he couldn't help being nervous...

Jaromila giggled as he asked if they were almost there and she nodded her head.
"Someone is sounding like a child who is wanting to stop traveling. Yes, we are almost there, just over this hill,"she assured, nuzzling him tenderly.

Haides dropped the smile for a moment, but--like it kept doing today--it returned when she nuzzled him. "Maybe I'm just a weary traveler that would like to spend some quiet time with his mate," he replied simply. Oh lovely. A hill. His body was going to make him feel today's efforts tomorrow.

Jaromila blushed lightly when he said he wanted to spend time with her. She looked at him and gave him a gentle nuzzle, before seeing how tired he was. She leaned against him as she helped him up the hill, knowing he needed some help.
"Do not worry, dear, I will help you get there, so you do not fall over,"she told him.

"That's good, because if you weren't helping me, I'd be tempted to lay down right here," Haides replied. Ok, maybe he wasn't that tired. But laying down and taking a nap did sound like a lovely idea for later on.

Jaromila laughed lightly as she led the way up the hill, wondering what her parents would say.
"Good thing I am helping you then, do not want you to be falling asleep on a hill. Not sure that would be the safest place to be,"she explained.

Haides stuck close to her, chuckling. "I don't imagine it would be." His legs protested the incline, but he silently trudged up the hill without any issue. They were almost there. Hopefully Jaromila's parents were accepting of him, because he really didn't want to think of the alternatives--and he had no energy to argue.

Haides blinked and glanced over at her for a moment. "Just... hoping your parents don't mind," he replied. Turning his gaze forward, he added, "And... hoping that my family's doing alright." His eyes danced. "I think I may have become a chronic worrier."

Jaromila smiled softly at him, knowing he did seem to have a lot on his mind. She got them to the top of the hill and then helped him get down to where her family lived.
"I hope my family will be very accepting of you, my love. Of course, I can never be sure, though my parents are pretty cool. I also believe your own family is probably fine, though probably very busy,"she spoke.

Michiko was huddled close to a couple blankets, her eyes trained on her daughter, watching for any amount of stress. She was unaware of any approaching azrein, her mate and Jara's mate would warn them of any that came close. Jaromila should be coming back soon.. Asti had left on her journey. And Nae had left to search for the missing filly.
Huel stood at the top of the hill, watching a black male and his sister-in-law come up it, grief clouded his vision as he stood his ground firmly. "Jaromila. Who is this?" He asked, his voice flat.
Bruin was cuddled next to his brother's heat. He was confused. Where was the other blanket? The female that he and his brother took care of? Where had she gone? Where was the warm nest they had been born to? He didn't understand.
