Lady Liliana ~~~ Hero ~~~ Energy: Cut Off ~~~ HP: 1030/1030

She gritted her teeth, unwilling to give him the sound of her pain. "They never shunned those of Light. As they did not shun those you think Dark. The land is made how Pital wanted and to destroy what is here would be to spit in her face," Liliana growled. Her skin crawled as his breath washed over her neck from him kissing it. "A person who wants war is someone who starts killing innocent people for no real reason. Looking into the who and why is trying to find ways to diffuse the situation without more bloodshed. The fact you have to use something to stop my sight and shackle me shows you have no inclinations to actually prove your point. You have no intent to show a real reason to kill innocent people over how they were born."

"No reason, you say?" The Cleric flipped Liliana over, sitting right on her hips to prevent more bucking before looking her over; she would make a fine addition to his collection, and give him delicious secrets regarding Ernya as he spoke, "Are you saying that you welcome all darkness? That your people who killed my men, clearly born of darkness as I've heard that they started the fight, deserve to live or their sender go unpunished?" Grasping her neck and pushing her into the ground, he got close to her face but keep a few inches between them to keep her from biting him as he spoke, "So...you've never killed a dark creature? One who walks around and slaughters true innocents through others' hands, whereas we purge those who have done dark deeds? Innocence is but an illusion, truly created only by mending the wrongs one has done and purging those who continue to do wrong without reasoning, as you've said. Even I am still trying to right my own wrong for having sat by and watched the darkness around this swamp grow for so long; Vampires, ghouls, these black beasts of the Void like the ones you've sent...All making this place a living Hell for those who lived here. No...we're going to purge this place, and continue to make it the way your Pital and my Tyral would want...Clean, green, and no darkness by which these foul unnatural beasts can hide. Isn't that your goddess' love, for all things natural? To protect the peace of the earth rather than to see it stained red over a long period of time as the darkness grew, to have her pain intensified for but a moment before restoring absolute peace?"

She was going to bite back a response until he mentioned that she sent someone who was Voidsworn. "I've never sent someone who was Voidsworn," she said flatly. "I know those who are, but I have no such citizens nor did I ask the ones I do know to come here. Which means my people might not even be the ones who killed yours." She spoke full on truth. Lizzy had been a mindblader and so had Leifang. Arron was a warrior as well. She didn't have any dark avengers in her citizenship records.

"...so it was mere coincidence that Voidsworn attacked alongside Ernyans?" Alexander did not relinquish his grip on Liliana's neck as he leaned up away from her, regarding her dubiously underneath him as his mind began to filter all the different possibilities. Some part of her story was simply adding up wrong, still particularly the part about spying on his nation, "But enough about them, for they aren't the one's currently within my possession. Let us hear more about your sins and your works, oh great Prophetess. Tell me, why do you keep poking into our business with disguises and beasts of the darkness? Why do you not allow the cleansing of this land without some form of prying?"

"Because for you to murder them instead of just using exile is wrong," she growled, fight back in her after that moment of confusion. She wouldn't give up her "sins" to him. No, those were hers to bear and the only two who actually knew of them was not of her own volition. "As for my works, you need only ask of my name and have them given to you. Why do I keep looking here? Because I want to find a way to stop the needless bloodshed. Too many lives were lost not a couple months ago and the fact your group feels the tally needs to climb is horrible. You have paladins who can bring nothing but truth from my lips and I would still speak samely since I speak truth. I don't want to see you all killed but the killing of innocents needs to stop. Someone will come and have the swamp dye red of your blood. And you will lament on why you were not warned. When you know you were." Her attitude had changed. The fight in her wasn't focused on her own situation anymore. Without her power to focus on to mask her emotion, it has become much harder to hide what she feels. And she feels worry for them. She knows not all of them want to be like this. They can't all want to be murderers. And they can't all deserve a murderer's fate. "When I know you were warned from my very lips. When I know I passed on what I saw coming so the bloodshed could be avoided." Her eyes closed heavy for a moment before they snapped back to Alex. The fight of freedom's fire had returned. "I am not your possession. I know those who have acted as you before. You will try your best to break me. But know this: one does not live through all I have to be broken at the whim of another."

Alexander had been staring at her eyes, anticipating for some kind of signal such as a rapid breath or even a hint of deceit within the Seer's eyes as she spoke what appeared to be rational logic with a sting of truth to it; his eyes darting around as if looking at her body, more out of thinking than lust, attempting to rationalize and justify his own methods in the face of her words. His teeth gritted together and his hand grasped her neck a little lighter as his own doubts began to flood his mind, his eyes filled with doubt for a second before looking back straight into her and nearly yelling at her out of his own emotional flood, "You dare think yourself so high and mighty as to call innocent those whom the Archangel Valarous has called unworthy of the air they breathe?! This man, nay, this demigod, has fallen from Tyral's right hand himself, a blessing upon this world to give direction to this movement and a face to the cleansing light born upon Rykros. Who do you know that would dare lay a finger on this demigod? Is it the Voidsworn? Who is he? What is your role in this, and what is your sin?!"

"I will tell you as I have told those I have taught," Liliana said calmly, seeing her words getting through to someone finally. "'There only evil in action, not in man himself.' Because someone is born to a blood we would call dark does not make them an evil being. And because someone has a Light being's blood does not make them righteous. As you might know, the bloodline of the seer is considered to sit upon the line dividing such people. We are neither Light nor Dark. Because our job is to guide." She looked over Alex, watching is emotional war. "The Voidsworn I knew who would want an end to this suffering perished in the last battle of the Plague War. He perished protecting a people he helped deliver from people truly evil. Though you may call him Dark because of what he knows, his actions make his soul brighter than many I have seen." She continued to step around the question of her "sins", unwilling to expose that part of herself. "Alex, many know me as powerful. Do you know what makes me that way?"

"Dark people destroying dark...Now that's something hysterical to me, as it gives me grand amusement and makes my occupation easier. All the Voidsworn would have done ultimately is cause more harm than he already has since they send souls to the depths of the Void. And do not mistake me for a fool, I have heard the rumors of Krayth," the Insignis sneered in front of Liliana's face as he regained his confidence at her next words. Father Alexander leaned down towards liliana, sprawling his body over hers and melding their hips together as he laid his arms across her chest, almost as if relaxing as he drew a finger along her body as he spoke casually, "You say it is your job to guide since you are neutral. Neutrality and apathy towards a problem is not justice. You call Krayth bright, yet I've heard of the land that has been darkened because of him...Want to know how? Some allies of mine caught a group traveling with supplies to the desert, and they confessed everything, said everything to me. Krayth replaced evil with evil, and died leaving his people in the darkness to starve. They were freed from vampires only to starve at the hands of...a Soul Eater Voidsworn. Quite the dark combination, wouldn't you agree?"

"I'm not apathetic if I'm here to..." Liliana trailed off as the rest of what Alexander said sunk in. Her eyes shrank down to almost pinpricks from what he told her. "You were... They were..." she stammered, unable to form out a full sentence from keeping her emotions in check. This was the man who murdered her people. Laying on top of her. Stroking her. Powerless or not, she'd find a way to destroy him. "You'll need better tactics now," she growled. "Since no more wisdom will be granted to you peacefully." Her eyes flashed electric blue for a moment before returning to normal.

Alexander's grin and calm gradually escaped from his face as he witnessed Liliana's reactions, emotions flooding her brain as her logic and beautiful countenance left her; a slight waiver of sadness entered his countenance as he stared at her eyes as they flashed blue for but a moment, solidifying again into solid stone, speaking his mind as he went, "Just when I thought you were actually a beautifully made Prophetess, filled with logical thought and reasoning that could equal my own, you show me your potential true side, Liliana Kairn." His finger stilled continued to brush up towards her collar as the Insignis shook his head as if scolding her. "So brash to make such an assumption in your mind, I view it in your visage. So brash of myself to make an assumption that you could leave as much emotion behind as I can, choking down what fate has to offer you." He said in a way that was similar to teaching a student, "Their fates had already been sealed by the Last of the Aeris. My task always has been, and always will be, to gather information from sinners and to keep safe at all costs this Holy temple of Tyral. What happens to them beyond that is not my concern, and I kill only those who have committed the most capital of sins." Placing a hand on the Seer's cheek, he cupped her hand in his hands as he scooted up, looking deep into her eyes as if peering into her soul, "So tell me, Liliana...What are you? Prophetess or sinner? Are you able to leave your emotions behind, to take a look at the logic that you so relished but a moment ago? Are you truly this illogical, to condemn me and the nation for but a few people? And if so...what does that make you, you who have slaughtered thousands within moments, making sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, everything dying at your own selfish decision thinking nothing but your own nation and not Jiaum?!? You purged the wicked but took all the light with it, wiped clean the plague but sowed and nurtured the seeds of destruction for thousands more for years to come! If this is indeed your logic, there is but one serial murderer within this room, and it is not myself, Elemental Destroyer."

The cold mistress of logic. Something that can't always be applied. But it seemed the only way to get through to Alex so she had to try. She pulled hard on her emotions, hearing that he had only tortured her people, not killed them. Bad as it was, that was a little more tolerable. She took as deep a breath as she could with him on top of her and let it out slowly. "The fact your leader still put my people to death, when they weren't even part of your eradication agenda, shows he is more happy to kill than actually follow what should have been taught of Tyral. He may have said not to help Darkness but he never said to actively seek it out to kill. That's more the mindset of Grix than Tyral," she said calmly. "Tyral is the god of the mind. It may be why you consider me his Prophetess. Because while I can use quite formidable powers, most of my victories have been through the power of knowledge. Without a single spell, I managed to unite the nations in the face of war, took a dying nation in fear of their own land and taught them how to defend themselves from their fear, and guided many citizens to lead good lives regardless of what blood they bleed." Liliana ignored the remark of her sins as well as the title once more. "Jiaum I regret. I always will since it was a no win situation. We didn't have the forces to eliminate the attacking army and they planned to turn the entire capital into new soldiers. To march against fellow man as a puppet is a fate much worse than death. By doing what I did, I gave them the mercy of death and spared them that cursed existence. Would you have left them to strengthen your enemies' forces in the middle of war?"

"If you mean the eradication of the dark by Tyral's will, then you are correct, Liliana Kairn; but you have no right to speak of what a god wills when lord Valarous has seen Lord Tyral himself, and even if you were correct then you have no right to speak, for you are a heretic or even nothing to your goddess Pital on account of your actions at Jiaum. Spectate, you lay underneath a devout of Tyral, a man devoted to stomp out the darkness just as you stomped out the plague." the Insignis spoke as if he was stone, cold and heartless, unfeeling and open to all forms of logic as he heard her words, "Your words reflect the logic of the Last of the Aeris more than you would expect, to seek out and destroy threats; the only difference that I can view, and you should view as well, Liliana, is that we proactively perform our duty while you only reflexively perform it. If the man who killed my adviser was among the numbers of the swamp you would see that man already dead and my adviser would be alive; if you had seen the dark necromancer Vincent before he was as powerful as he was and killed him with such 'prejudice,' our plague problem would not have even happened and Jiaum would be alive."

She noticed he sidestepped her question. It was something to store away for later. "I already know how Vincent came to be how he is now. That comes from gathering the memories and thoughts of a woman crippled, mangled, and raped within an inch of her life. He was a man of his god. So you will have to excuse me if I worry when I see another man of his own god starting to do the same things." Liliana shifted under him, trying to relieve the pull of her limbs while trapped in her current position. She was hitting the point of being tired of talking and almost wished he'd do something else to give her time to gather her thoughts. "As for active versus reflexive, I actively deal with threats in my nation. But I make use of them instead of just killing them. It's why I have a prison city to put them to work at. It takes some of the unwanted jobs and gets them done so my other citizens can focus on tasks to promote the nation's prosperity. So do not think my actions of dealing with problems to be only in the realm of what happened during a war."

"So you do not give them the mercy of death as you just said, but a torturous life of servitude to the state..." Alexander said, frowning slightly as he felt her writhe underneath him for whatever purpose; his face cracked into a small grin as his mind did register the non-subtle comparison between Lord Valarous and the necromancer, "You are vastly more cunning and ruthless than I estimated you to be, Liliana Kairn. A slavery system for these dark mongrels does sound pleasing indeed before they more than likely die out of starvation anyway..." At that moment, a Knight burst into the room, causing the Insignis to look up in questioning as the Knight just gawked at the naked Liliana, "I'm busy, what exactly did you need?" "Father...Whispers and rumors have circulated, and through torturing of the citizens of the Town of Hyjon's Rest we have come to the conclusion through description that the culprit is probably the infamous Kinetav of the Devil's Eye as the only other famous white haired black skinned person is dead, although we cannot confirm entirely..." At this statement, the Cleric's eyes narrowed and a rushing emotion of rage began to overcome him at the mention of the damned Voidsworn as he spoke, Thank you, Knight. That is all." Turning back around to Liliana, his entire countenance seemed to change as his fingers brushed her neck before gripping her rather strongly, "Kinetav...of the Devil's Eye...Which YOU sent aid to his country! What have I EVER done to you or to this Voidsworn to deserve this? To have a Voidsworn like him send the souls of menof the light, especially my adviser, to the bottomless depths of that pit of nothingness known as the Void! You two grant only but the the most absolutes of mercies, as you've stated: the "mercy of death", and more ultimately the "mercy of the death of the soul". Are you trying to tell me that darkness of such caliber is NOT to be destroyed when they do nothing but cast souls to the GREAT NOTHING?! Is this the kind of being you support, and therefore you support the world's destruction itself?!"

And there went the banner of logic. Dammit Kinetav, she thought to herself. She choked on Alexander's hold. She wanted to correct him in the fact someone like Kinetav would actually damn the soul to remain trapped with him, making him stronger. But that would not help her right now at all. "I sent aid to all of Devil's Eye, not just him," she choked out. "And this now proves I did not send my people to kill yours, making this entire situation unneeded. As for the mercy of death I grant, it is only in the most dire of circumstances I must do that." With him at a changed disposition, Liliana watched for any opening she could use to be able to get out of his grasp.
