Joachim was looking was trying to make his way though the shifting fog as Enzo continued to talk about the radio. He didn't mind the chatter it was better than being out in complete silence, it already was creepy enough. But then something started to appear in the fog and Enzo started to head towards it, "Enzo... I don't think....." Before he could even pull him back the figure leaped at them sending Joachim back into the ground and the mice skittering from his pockets. "I agree I think we are overdue for an encore at this point" Joachim as he started to play a series of light notes matching the beat of the bass. HP: 33/40 Damage: 1

The fog creature that had been Zar simply glared at the two musical figures. The sounds meant little to him, music had been meaningless disorganisation when he had possessed his senses and made even less sense now with mere fragments or personality remaining.
His tail flicked behind him as he moved for another attack.

Enzo willed the rats to take the brunt of the creature's blows, but still those claws and papercuts HURT. He protected The Boss with a careful gesture, wobbling before plucking away. The rats that remained scurried forth, enraged by the fog and the music from both Pied-Reapers, unsure of WHAT to attack and settled for biting anything that they could reach...

The attack hurt like a thousands sheets of music falling on him and tearing at his skin. This was worse than the last guy they had battled at least the glowing mismatched eyes with one clawed hand was easier than papercut to death.
Joachim tried to play along with Boss's tune but found that in the last attack the mouth piece was across the floor and not on the end of the flute.
Great.

There wasn't much of him to hit, so much of the fog around him swirling hair and wings, hardly substantial at all.
But his claws were real.
This racket needed to cease.

Everyone was a critic.
Fortunately, Enzo did not have to endure the monster's claws for long. "Just keep... playin'!" His words were cut off as the boil once again disapparated into smoke, his hat falling on the ground at Joachim's feet.

One minute Enzo was standing there after the mist creatures attack, the next the only thing remaining was a hat at his feet. This was getting worse, it was him and the mist beast, and his wounds were starting to hurt more despite the need to push on.
Scrambling to put the flute back together he played notes, a song that he had remembered no matter what situation it was. It worked, for the most part the exception being the other mice that starting to chew on his legs and arms.

Zar hardly responded to injury, the main guage of how much damage had been done merely the way the fog seemed to struggle to hold together in places, swirling off and reforming.
And yet still the music continued.
It had to stop.
And so it did.

With a gasp, Enzo was back, sprawled on the ground as the world spun. He patted himself, making sure everything was in order as he caught his breath. "Joe? You okay, man? Is it gone?"

It hurt, the last hit from the mist creature disorientated Joachim before he started to dissipate like Enzo had before him.
But something was wrong very wrong as a cold chill swept across his body. Joachim could see the familiar bass and reaper in front of him but it was as if he was blurry like he was deep under water looking up at a face. He tried to scream at him to run, to leave.
It was too late.

The little reaper scooped up his hat, glancing around as the fog thickened, swirling, almost like tiny ghostly mice scurrying past him. "Joe...?"

Home........"We must.... go... hommeee........." The reaper's voice started to hiss as the sound of a flute followed by little shadows of mist like mice scattered running towards their target. There was no recollection to recognizing the figure before, nothing seemed to matter other than the word home. Total HP : 54 / 60 Damage done: 6 Targets: Enzo

The sudden wave of mice took Enzo off guard, sending him and his own rats tumbling. "Joe, oh JACKIN'-" The Boss gave a low wail, rushing toward him but the ghostly mice were swarming...

The mist figure of the reaper remained unfazed by the wail of the bass as the notes from the flute started to turn an octave higher causing a shrilling noise. The mice they continued to swarm biting any sort of flesh they could find to sink their teeth into. Total HP : 44 / 60 Damage done: 10 Targets: Enzo

It was all too surreal. First he was rummaging around, jamming with his friend, and now crippled on the ground with the ringing from the haunting flute that pierced the air. His hands covered his ears, which left very little to protect him from the onslaught of rodents.
