They're not suppose to be, they're suppose to be a semi-realisitc walking tank. No Sidestepping, no Tripods (the Ares does not count) and certainly, no transformers. Though, the Word of Blake did create a good handful of LAM (Land-Air-Mechs) that did well, but were destroyed when the Clans reached their factories on Terra.
The fasted 'mech I've seen is as light 20 tonner with a 440 XXL Engine, boosting it to 400Km/h with a Super charger, increasing it to 440 or 50. No weapons though, meant only for scouting.

Sinnoh Champion John What would you do...To this Machine?  The trademark mobile suit too the MIA General of the Empire John Forge? its info is in my profile in the main profile section of the guild. Hmm.. Get rid of the Cape. Looks unnessicary. Maybe shortern those yellow spikes a little and make them more flat instead of Pyramid shaped. I can't see any noticable weapons so we'll leave them as is. Maybe give it a Void Signature system to render it completely invisible, to the eye and to radar. Give it a Hatchet.

Thought those spikes and cap were for decoration. Pfft. Not sure how fabric can stop heat exceeding more then 1,000 degrees (unless it's one of those Fireman outfits, which I think can witstand about 500). And yeah, Void is nice but takes up quite a bit of space as well as heavy for equiptment.

Its anti beam coated which can take a few shots before being left as a normal cape and yea I would not have a mobile suit with spikes unless they were used as weapons lol. Also if you would look at my mobile suits layout you see that it has a few beam base weapons as well as a melee weapon as well.

I saw, don't understand half of what they do like with the prisim: What keeps it floating in the air long enough for the laser to fire through it? Also, does it fall when it's finished with the beam? Ah, I see. I thought they were melee weapons of sorts, not rockets. Clever. Also, how heavy is that thing, as well as the weapon? I can see the rockets replaced with one-shot ATM-12s, two actually and give it an Extra-Light compact fusion reactor.

Paint it black, give it two Armbuster 20mm cannons on the left arm, Mirmadon Partical Projectile cannon in the right, Holly Six-shooter missile system in the chest and more rear armor. Can never go wrong with more rear.

Can never go wrong with more rear. That's a RX-79[G] Ground Type Gundam which got its head damaged and replaced with GM Ground Type's due to no spare parts, Its rear being occupied by that thruster pack which has optional attachments such as weapon backpack or parachute (again, that is a ground type unit). Idk wtf that armbuster or mirmadon is, but this fella got vulcans and multi launchers which can pop various thingies like flash / smoke from its chest, and dat beam rifle / 180mm cannon / hyper bazooka is pretty much enuf to boom most thingies in its era (U.C. 0079) excluding mobile armors i guess. Oh, it do got 6 missile launchers without editing : Here you go

I wonder... 'aight, 'aight. New thingy. Take out the flash so that there's more room for smoke; Add the 6 Short Range Missiles next to the other one, take out the 180mm cannon for a bigger 200mm Armbuster Autocannon, swap out the beam rifle for a Rapid-Fire Large Pulse Canon, remove a little bit of the armor to free up enough room to add another thruster.

What would you do...To this Tank? Weighing in at 67.8 Tons, this is the RML-20 "Rommel" Urban Combat Vehical. Armed with a massive Fourteen ton ChemGel 230mm Class 20 Autocannon, it can devastat anything stupid enough to move infront of it's bore. For long range, it carries two Shigunga Thunderstroke Five tubed Missile launchers. For infantry, it carries a Small Rapid Pulse Laser fixed just infront of it. A special type of metal close to Gundarium in composition protects it's drivers.

What would you do...To this Tank? A 57ton Anti-Aircraft vehical, it has an exciting mix of long range weaponry specializing in taking down flying vehicals; Four Cluster-shot 30mm cannons, the cluster rounds acting like flak as well as solid, air-burst 25mm rounds. In case of infantry, it has two popup .50 Cal. Machineguns. It can drive at approximatly 70km/h and has four-hundred rounds- Two hundred solid, two hundred clustered - to work with. Four wheel drive as well as the turret being turnable of up to 360 degrees all around. An interesting note is that you can have two cannons firing the solid rounds and the other two firing the cluster rounds.
