It seemed Mitsu had an idea at least, and that made Hel happy to hear. It made her happy to hear that Mitsu was going to stick with Shun too…and that Shun was still going to work on keeping her around, even with his uh…future career ahead. She nodded her head. “Good. I am glad to hear it.” She grinned a bit at him, and at his question, shook her head.
“No! I have all that I need. What about you?”

"I have all I need," Shun nodded, then turned to start making his way towards the mall exit, "What brought up the talk regarding the future?"

The wingless valkyrie kept in step with the grim, following him to the Maul exit.
“…I just buried a lot of hatchets recently.” Hel looked over at him, grinning. Not literally of course, that’d be a waste of a tool! “I was stuck in a pit for quite a while, and I finally climbed out of it. I let go of a lot of things that were weighing me down and I am ready to go out there and tackle whatever comes my way again. The future is one of those things. It always will be, and I am just curious to know what my friends are up to as well. That is all.”

"I see. Well, it is good to hear that you managed to pull yourself out of that. I just know that the future is never entirely certain," Shun said. It was a part of the reason why he tended to not think about it a whole lot. The most he could do is try to prepare for things that may come his way, but it was impossible to know for certain what was to come.

“It is true!” Hel agreed. She did think along the same lines as Shun. She was just thankful she wasn’t caught up in matters that blinded her to other things now, that she had a clearer head this time around, and that she could be prepared for what came her way. Hel was still very much a ‘live for the present’ kind of being.
The way back to the dorms, Hel was content to chatter at Shun about simple things, like more tips and techniques for parkour and training until they came to the fork in the path. She paused, taking a few steps in the direction of the reaper dorms before she turned and look to Shun. “I suppose this is where we part ways for the day, ya? Give my regards to Mitsu…tell her I will come and visit her soon!” The ghoul trailed off for a moment, thinking and looking at the reaper dorms. She was quiet for a moment before she looked back at the grim over her shoulder.
“Neh…Shun?” She paused. “…Thank you for everything, friend.”

"Will do," Shun said quietly, ready to head on towards Mitsu's room now. However, he paused as he heard Hel address him once more. He looked at her curiously, not sure what the cause of the words were.
"I've done nothing to be thanked for," he said simply.

Hel laughed, shaking her head. “No, you have. You have been…one of the best friends I could have hoped for during my time here at Amity…you are there when I need you to be, and you have listened and helped me out, even if I have annoyed you.” She laughed again. “It truly means a lot to me.” She grinned at him.
“Thank you.”

The Reaper was a little surprised to hear this. Even now, he was always taken by surprised whenever anyone said he was a good friend or anything like that. Shun was silent for a little bit after that. His features shifted subtly, softening for a moment.
"In that case, thank you as well," he said quietly.

Hel just kept on grinning, and nodded her head. The ghoul then back tracked, coming over to the grim, where she held out her hand for him to shake. Since, you know, Shun wasn’t really a hugger, much less a touchy feely person, except for Mitsu. After the grim took her hand, he’d find this pressing against his palm.

Shun indeed wasn't a hugger. Handshakes he could deal with, though he still didn't entirely see the meaning behind handshakes.. outside of a contract sealer with a demon. Reaching out, he shook Hel's hand, though furrowed his brow as he felt something small and smooth in his hand. Pulling back, he soon saw her pin there. Huh. Quietly, he nodded to the Valkyrie before patting her on the shoulder, then turning away to head on to the monster dorm. Should she check her pocket, she'd find that something had been slipped in it at some point in time.
