A Slight Problem...
Note: Mahii, Raine, and Tamden are copyright Mahii. I'm just using an AIM RP ^^
Aekepi had to get away from the house. Not that he didn't love Caine and Jason dearly, or that he wanted to leave his raptor-egg. But he just had to get out and walk around a bit - do some things. He took a vest that Jason had bought for him from the closet, and shrugged it on, looking outside. It was pouring down rain. Ah well, nothing that he couldn't handle. He pushed out the door, and slipped into the street, headed towards where he knew that the park was situated. It really wasn't that far away from home, and he just wanted some time to himself, away from his new family, and away from whatever problems bugged him - not like anything he saw DIDN'T bug him at the moment. It was just a matter of everything being new, he supposed. Just being found, by doctors, even. And showing them that he was at least strong enough to escape an exam - THAT had been fun. Well, until he got caught, and given one anyway. His fathers were both worrywarts, in his opinion. Concerned about nothing. And everything at the same time. The rain was relentless, pouring down on him and his vest and shirt. His hair was soon slicked to his head, and he had to flick his ears multiple times to get the water out of them. One thing he hated about rainstorms. What he wasn't expecting, was to literally run into someone else on his way through the park. Someone as soacked and bedraggled as he was.
"Hey...."
The boy was of his kind, at least. A dog. Well... a mutt, but that was beside the point. And an anthro to boot. Aekepi wasted no time in introducing himself.
"Hey! My name's Aekepi - what's yours?"
"Tamden...."
"Awesome! Well... why're you out here? I wanted to escape my parents, and get a little time to myself..."
"I was out running errands for someone."
"Oh?"
Tamden's eyes seemed to glow with an inner light, as he nodded.
"Yeah - someone at home wanted some things from the pharmacy, so I went and got them. It's kinda cool being in this rain, isn't it?"
Aekepi nodded, and coughed a bit, rubbing his hands against his arms to warm them. He was freezing cold. How long had he been out here? Three hours? He shivered some more, and his teeth chattered. Tam noticed.
"Hey - why don't you come back to my place, and warm up a bit, hmm? My mom is pretty cool about us having friends over."
He started off towards the apartment complex a little way from the hospital. Aekepi followed along, not really caring just where they were going, only that they were going somewhere warm. HE was freezing his tail off. Heck, even the flame on his tail was starting to turn blue. When they arrived, the woman named Mahii set Aekepi and her son up on the couch, and brought them some hot cocoa. She made a suggestion about perhaps going to play pinball at the arcade, and both the boys were all for it. Aekepi wanted a chance to whip his new friend's tail at DDR. Especially the one song he'd been practicing dancing to in his room - Dynamite Rave. He was all set for a trip to the arcade - not that he'd ever BEEN before... Just as Aekepi was about to get up and get going out the door, Mahii laughed, and gave him a huge hug. He stood apart from her, and stood there with his arms crossed, looking over the two, Mahii and Tamden. He looked up at the adult.
"So.... you're the chaperone, I take it.."
Mahii grinned, and ruffled Tam's fur.
"If you could call it that... Hey, mind if I bring Raine along? He's been pretty closed up in his room reading. and reading. All of it's over my head, but he needs to get out."
Tam grinned, and Aekepi just looked confused.
"Raine?"
He blinked, and tilted his head.
"I've never heard of Raine... Who's Raine, Tam?"
Tamden appeared to be on the verge of cracking up, and mahii looked down, raising an eyebrow. The little dog-boy stopped shaking to himself and told the coyote the truth in a still-giggly voice.
"He's my dorky older brother."
"Older brother, eh?"
He laughed a bit.
"Sounds fun - so.... we set to go?"
Mahii whipped out her cell and dialed, head nodding to the music no one else could hear, while she was put on hold for a few moments.
"Oh. Raine! You actually picked up. Hey. I've got Tam and this other kid, Aekepi. We're all heading out to the arcade......yeah..... NO!.. No..... Ok..... Meet you there..... Love you.... Yeah. I know you hate that."
She hung up and addressed her charges.
"He's comin'."
Aekepi smiled and swished his tail back and forth a bit, adressing his friend.
"Where's he work, Tam?"
Tamden's tail wagged. He was always badmouthing his brother, but whenever the distracted older boy hung out with him the sky opened up and sun shone. But not literally. That was scientifically impossible. Tamden smiled lopsidedly.
"He works at the hospital."
"He's a doctor? Cool."
He looked outside at the pouring rain.
"Gyah - I hate this kinda weather.... well, not really, but walking in it's hell. Hey Tam - didn't you say that your school was opening up for applications? Can you tell me a bit about it - yanno... what it's like?"
Maybe he could get in a little better with his fathers, if he were to go to school. Tam HAD said something about school in the park, but Aeka wasn't exactly sure just what.
Tamden sniffed, and looked a bit put-upon.
"It's school."
Mahii rolled her eyes.
"Oh please. Tell the boy something about it. Stop trying to be all "cool"."
Tam turned to Mahii, and sighed, whining.
"Mahiiiiii....jeeeez."
He stuck his hands in his pockets and started regaling Aekepi with crazy boy-stories about driving the teachers crazy. Then, he actually conceded, and told Aekepi something of use.
"In truth though, I'm learning a lot and they do kinda make it fun. I suppose it's better than other schools. Not really good, but school never is fun."
Aekepi joined in on Tamden's laughter to this statment, and happened to look up at the door, stepping back as a large adult dog-man walked into the place.
"Oh wow, I feel tiny..."
Tamden fought for a moment over being cool and seeing his brother. Raine won.
"RAINE!!!"
The boy shouted, tail wagging. He barreled into the taller canine, who was almost sent sprawling. The other smiled, and ruffled Tamden's hair softly, in a brotherly way.
"Hey Tam! I haven't seen you in DAYS!"
Tamden bared a lone tooth.
"It would help if you left your room. C'mere! This is Aekepi! I met him in the park today!"
"Eheh..."
Aeka looked up at the giant of a man, and waved shyly.
"H....hi there...s...sir."
Raine held out a warm hand and smiled.
"You can just call me Raine. Sir makes my fur curl."
"R...Raine. Right... Umm.... I'm Aekepi."
He smiled a bit, then ducked his head and coughed - probably jogging Tam's memory.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, si- I mean... Raine."
Tamden frowned and tugged on his brothers arm, whispering to him. Raine's smile curled downward and he nodded.
"You been feeling ok, Aekepi?"
"Umm... yeah! Just went for a walk in the rain, is all. That's how Tam n' me met up."
Raine rubbed his forehead sideways with two fingers, a motion Mahii recognized as him thinking harder than usual.
"Hey... um... I've got an assignment from my higher-ups to practice some preliminary exams. Do you mind if I practice on you? Tam and Mahii have already done it and I need at least one more..."
Aekepi looked just a little cautious at that, but then sighed, and nodded.
"Ummm..... Practice on me? O...kay.... I guess. Should I call my dads first?"
Raine shrugged "You can , but I can do it right here. I'm ..um. kinda never without my stethoscope. Tam think's I'm a little weird.
"Darn right you're weird!"
The little dog boy quipped. Aekepi laughed, shrugged, and nodded.
"Alright. Go ahead. What do you need me to do?"
Raine smiled warmly, his superior at the hospital had praised his bedside manner for just that alone.
"All I need you to do is take some deep breaths and do what I ask of you, k?"
Aekepi nodded a bit, shrugged off the vest he had on, and stripped of the soaked shirt.
"Heh - don't suppose any of your clothes fit me, Tam?"
Tamden gazed at him critically.
"The pants might. but you'd have to borrow and belt one of Raine's shirts. Mine are too small."
"Ummm... Ms. Mahii? Could you dry my shirt and vest for me? I'll pay you if you want me to."
Mahii stopped watching Raine for a minute, he wasn't really a son to her like tamden was...more a roommate. She nodded.
"Sure thing. But don't worry about paying."
She took his clothes off to get warm and fluffy. Raine shook his head lightly, chuckling, and donned his stethoscope, placing it on the younger boy's chest.
"Deep breath now."
Aeka took a nice, deep, slow breath. His lungs sounded pretty good, but he might have a bit of a cold from the soft wheezing there. Raine checked a few spots until the cold circle of his 'scope was warm.
"Alright. I'm gonna look in your eyes."
He pulled a magnifying light from his pocket and Tamden snorted. There was a frickin crash cart in there. Aekepi blinked a blink, and shied away from the light. His pupils were normal though.
"BRIGHT. What is that thing, a laser-light?"
Raine chuckled, a deep sound.
"Nah. that's detrimental. This here lets me see back into your braaain..."
He made creepy, waggly fingers. Aeka laughed, and covered his ears with his hands. For all his looks, he still WAS just a child. Raine slipped the light back into his pocket where it all but disappeared, and poked and prodded Aekepi a bit before proclaiming him completely healthy.
"Awesome. Can we go now? I wanna beat Tam at that DDR game!"
Raine raised his black eyebrow and nodded.
"Thanks for helping me out with my work. Hey, look! Mahii's back with your clothes!"
"Awesome!"
He snatched them up, threw them on, and ran out the door.
Tamden ran after and Raine repackaged his stethoscope. The coyote got to the place first, and grinned.
"Race you to the DDR, Tam!"
Tamden laughed, skidding on the floor a bit.
"I'll beat you there!"
Mahii walked in at a slightly slower pace with raine...but the excitement of an arcade was getting to her. Aekepi was already excited.
"Ok, ok - Ummm... dooooo.... Dynamite Rave, hard. I'll beat your BUTT!"
Tamden's eye twitched slightly, as he shook his head, and griined.
"Dynamite Rave CRAZY!"
His testosterone was getting the better of him. Mahii laughed like a madwoman and Raine briefly wondered...why in hell she was in charge. Aeka stood there, and watched the beat - then started to dance. He was.... damned good - until he started to falter.
"Tam... I don't... feel so...g-"
He collapsed, and started convulsing on the carpet. Tamden yelped and jumped off the pad, whimpering. Raine heard his brother and ran forward, doing a slide-kneel down to the convulsing boy. There was already a crowd gathered. Some teens watching, others crying or turned away.Raine growled at the noise the arcade-goers were making.
"Tamden! Get them to back off! I can't hear anything in this arcade WITHOUT their noise!"
Tamden started shoving people back, telling them that Raine was a doctor. The older canid pulled his steth from the magic blackhole in his pants and listened to Aekepi's heart, trying at the same time to keep him from injuring himself on the various games surrounding them. Unfortunately, he couldn't hear a thing. The games would have to be shut off, or the boy moved. And considering he was still seizing, the latter wasn't looking probable. Raine sat up as much as he could and shouted for someone to bring him the manager. Tamden was too far across the room at this moment to help. The manager knew what was wanted, and he turned off the power, leaving it almost pitch-black, before the backup generators kicked on - then, they worked on moving the people. Aekepi was still seizing. Raine listened again, Aekepi's heartbeat clear in the silence. even the arcade patrons had held breaths. What he heard were the clear signs of someone going into ventricular fibrillation. The dog-doctor dropped all of his kind, goodly mannerisms and as Tamden ran back up, Raine snapped out orders. Tam raced to the manager who procured an AED and Raine charged it up. The coyote boy was still limp. not breathing. Raine leaned forward, tilted the boy's head and pinched his nose. CPR it had to be. Raine paused his breathing.
"Tam! I need you!"
"I'm sorry..I didn't know this would--"
Raine interrupted him.
"It's fine. I need you to help out with some compressions, alright?"
Tam did what he could, and Raine provided a shock to the boy's heart as soon as the AED was fully ready for use. The shock brought heart back to normal, and he started to breathe on his own but he was still unconscious. Completely.
= = =
The diagnosis that came to Jason and Caine when Mahii finally let them know that their son was in the hospital was NOT a good one. Epilepsy. Flashing lights, loud or abrupt noises, or any physical or emotional shock could be enough to set one off. That really wasn't good. Aekepi would be kept in the hospital until they found out just how severe his case was, and what medication he had to take to treat it. In the meantime, the two men were advised to start removing corners and sharp edges from their houses - which they began doing with fervor.
This could prove to be a slight.... problem...

A Visitor!
'Deine played by Indubitably!
Aekepi was lying in the bed, after the doctor'd finishe listening to his lungs for the fiftieth time. He was on a nasal cannula of oxygen, and an IV. He was probably a pretty wierd sight to a kid. Let alone another Fable. He was fast asleep, eyes closed, and head lolled to one side. THe nurse lead the girl into the room, and pointed.
"There he is, sweetheart - careful now, he's pretty sick. Aekepi, hun? Wake up, baby, you've got a visitor."
She flicked on the lights, and left the two alone, Aekepi still not awake. Medeine was rather surprised. She hadn't known she was going to visit someone, especially not this boy! Still, she didn't mind. An adventure was an adventure, and he looked like he could use a vistor. 'Deine had decided to find out about "doctors" and "hospitals" after Kinnara had mentioned that maybe she wanted to be one, since Medeine had healed Aurora's arm so well. Intrigued, the girl had simply wandered to the closest one, and the nurse had thought she'd come to visit this Aekepi. She hadn't been corrected, since Deine didn't mind meeting new people.
"Young Aekepi, do you sleep anon?"
"Nnn..... wh....."
He started to wake up - groggy.
"Who's there?"
He blinked, and looked over at Deine, blinking again as he saw her.
"You're not a nurse.... who're you?"
The pretty blonde gave him the force of her full-on beam, and flicked her bangs from her blue eyes, waistlength hair tied loosely back at the moment. No, she was not a "nurse," she thought. Who was she?
"I am called Medeine. You responded, therefore you must indeed be Aekepi. What is this 'nurse' you have mentioned?"
"Uh.... one of those guys and girls that's wandering around here... they're like... almost doctors, but not quite."
He smiled a bit, and rubbed at his sore chest, coughing.
"So.... you're.... Medeine.... you wanna be called anything?"
What a curious question!
"I have never felt the urge to be called 'Anything,' no, but thank ye kindly for asking!"
Smiling pleasantly, she sat on the edge of his bed and planted either hand on the blankets, watching him interestedly.
"You are here for your health, yes?"
He nodded a bit, and sighed, coughing again. He looked up at her, and laughed a bit.
"The nurse put a steth around your neck without you knowing, Medeine!"
Medeine peered down at her chest, head tilted to one side, before she laughed, eyes twinkling merrily.
"I did realize, however it seemed to be no threat. What is a 'steth,' Aekepi?"
When you were raised in a forest with faeries and the like, you didn't miss much.
"Oh... it's a stethoscope. Means "to see the chest" in latin, I think. Umm.... you wanna know how to use it?"
He sat up a bit, wincing, and trying to juggle a bit to spare the IV in his hand. Medeine, noticing his pain, reached out a gentle hand to touch his chest, a strained expression on her face. She was a seriously empathetic child, and loathed seeing another hurt.
"I would indeed. However, you seem to be in quite some pain. What is this device in your arm? Perhaps I can give you something for your aches?"
"No - no... the doctors are taking care of that. I'm fine. The thing in my arm's an IV."
"What purpose does it serve? You seem to be in pain, despite their efforts, valiant though they may be."
"It's painkiller. One of the nurses will be back with some pretty shortly. What I have isn't real easy to cure quick."
He smiled at her. She was pretty. Automatically grinning back, Medeine impulsively grabbed one of Aekepi's hands, squeezing gently.
"That is acceptable, then. What is it that afflicts you?"
She was a rather odd girl, it was true.
"I've got pnuemonia."
He offered her a soft smile.
"Another nurse is coming to stick another IV in me in a couple hours."
"Pnuemonia?"
Her voice was a whisper, and she narrowed her eyes thinking, before widening them as she realized what such a thing was.
"How did thee get this affliction, dear Aekepi?"
"By taking a stroll in the rain when I already had a chest-cold."
He laughed, then coughed.
"The elements can be pleasing, and I am often prone to what some would call foolishness."
The blonde shifted to a more comfortable position on the bed, and peered closely at him.
"You are the second individual I have met with this form of ears. The other was also male. Is it a masculine trait?"
He perked his ears, and shrugged.
"Noooo... I'm a coyote."
He pointed to the steth.
"Sooo... you wanna know how to use that, before the nurse comes back?"
Medeine, seeing nothing odd in his answer, didn't pursue the topic and nodded eagerly.
"Yes, please! Show me how to operate such an object!"
"Well... you see those two ends there? Put 'em in your ears. It's gonna turn the volume on the world up a bit."
She did, and it did. Eyes wide, she giggled, then covered her mouth with a hand at the amplified sound.
"Amazing! What next?"
He reached up, and undid the velcro holding the hospital gown over his chest, and pointed.
"That flat, round, end, goes here - over my heart."
Medeine leaned forward, pressing the metal to his chest, and closed her eyes, actually humming, once she found his heart beat.
"It is not as strong as I expected, dear Aekepi. Can they not fix this?"
"My... heart?"
He blinked at her a bit.
"You caught something my dads didn't? Wow.... You're awesome."
Medeine actually blushed a little, and removed the stethoscope, glancing down at her hands, almost shyly.
"I thank ye for thy words of kindess, dear Aekepi. I do not mean to say that I know more than your fathers. I simply expected a young male like yourself to have a much stronger pulse. It does not mean you are weak."
"I know."
He smiled a bit, and shrugged.
"So I probably have a weak heart, eh?"
Medeine shrugged, gaze not meeting his.
"Mmmn. Perhaps, thee should ask thy fathers to examine that aspect of your physical embodiment closer?"
Of course, she could ask the Fay to do it, but Indu had asked her to try not to call her friends to her in such places. Aeka blinked, and then laughed, moving his hands to "flip" the stethoscope.
"You had it on the wrong side - NOW listen."
"I am a fool."
Tears glistened briefly in the girl's eyes, and she listened, now detecting nothing other than a normal boy's heartbeat. How idiotic of her.
"Hey... hey, don't cry...."
"I made you believe that something was wrong with you that never was. For that, I must apologize."
Her hand wiped at the tears on her cheeks and she shook her head.
"I will not do so again."
"Hey... it's ok...."
He smiled a bit, and guided her hand to where she could hear his heart the best.
"Just listen... see if you can pick out the rythym - it's kinda interesting."
Medeine, sniffling but not crying anymore, listened carefully, hand in his, before tilting her head to one side.
"That is not the same as my brother's. What is different?"
"What does your brother's sound like?"

It seems that our wayward young coyote friend has now become our son. I have yet to introduce him to Eric... I wonder how the two will get along... Aekepi's been diagnosed with Epilepsy. I've already been instructed on the medications to give him, and as long as he takes them, there is no chance of him being suprised by an episode of it. Though I must say, his last episode stopped his heart for a couple of very scary moments. We're lucky he's a fighter. But anyway. Aekepi - or "Aeka" as he likes to be called for short - has shown an intense interest in dance and music. Not only that, he appears to be QUITE flexible. I may sign him up for gymnastics or something of the sort. I'm not entirely sure, as the decison really isn't fully mine to make. We'll be sending him to school after he's proven that he's stable, and able to function. We haven't, as of yet, introduced him to the other Fables - not quite sure what would happen if we did. Oh well, have to find out SOMETIME. Jason seems quite taken by Aeka - loves to talk with him, and watch him. I'm beginning to think that fatherhood suits my mild-mannered mate.
Adios for now,
Caine Garret Kiro

Aekepi's Thoughts: You know, it's amazing the way some people expect you to treat them. Even after they treat YOU like dirt. I mean, how on earth are you supposed to learn to respect someone, when that same someone just gets on your nerves every waking moment? I'd LIKE to learn to get along with him, really I would. But I just can't stop myself from seeing him as an enemy. I'm going to keep trying - Maybe if I soften up my heart a bit, I can find room to let him in. But I dunno. Maybe he and I just weren't meant to be friends. It's tough. It's hard to say. But I won't give up. On him, or on myself. I know what it's like to be hardened, steel-cold, and friendless. No one should have to go through that for their entire life. Not even that stupid dragon. I just wish I could find something in me that calls to something in him. Making friends with the guy'd be a lot easier if we had something in common to chat about. But I guess I'll have to work around it.

Which Way Again?
Aaron Arrikanez Aekepi - put mildly - was lost. Caine had sent him out to gather some herbs for homemade medicine, but he'd been following the map upside down, and from Caine and Jason's cabin, he'd gone the completely wrong way. The coyote reminded himself to try and give his father a piece of his mind when he got back. At any rate. In the woods. Lost. And it was starting to get dark. And cold. Well, at least he'd taken his medication today, so he didn't run the risk of any seizures. That would have been just LOVELY, to have a seizure in the middle of the woods, where no one could hear him, and help wouldn't be around for miles. Caine was probably worried about him, and he knew they'd be out to look for him if he wasn't home by the time it was dark. This. Sucked. He plopped down right in the middle of where he was standing, and looked up at the darkening sky, where he was almost able to see the twinkle of stars above him. This sucked, it wasn't fair, and he was in no mood to deal with it. Jason had said it was easy to get lost around here - he was right. Now which way had he turned before this glade-area? Was it east? No, it had to have been south... west? Southeast? Yeah. Lost. Bigtime. Lost. He just hoped that no one else was around here... or else things could get a little embarrassing. Especially if 'deine showed up - or Tasius. Or even Aurora... heh, that would be a sight. He started on what he thought was the way back - which in truth, he hadn't an inkling about.
jayoku Aurora had once again gotten himself lost in the forest, but this time there was no Kinnara to save him. He whimpered a bit holding the basket close to his chest. He had wanted to pick some forest berries for Medeine...she came fromt he forest and he wanted to get her a gift. She was ever so kind to him. But now it was dark, he could feel the night chill seeping into his clothing. Starting to feel a bit frantic as the darkness started to close around him he quickened his pace tearing through bushes, tears starting to threaten to spill down his cheeks. He hated this feeling of helplessness, he wanted to be strong but didn't know how.
The sound of something running through bushes and getting caught on numerous things could be heard for soem distance. Like some wild animal charging through the night blindly.
Aaron Arrikanez Aekepi heard the sound of someone else in this place. Someone who - like him - was probably lost. He sighed, and turned around, headed back the way he'd heard the... was it a whimper? Yeah. He pushed through the last of the bushes in his way, and stopped stock-still. Aurora! Now this he HADN'T expected.
"H-hey... Aurora? What are you doing out here?"
He blinked and looked at the basket - starting to put things together.
"Came here to get something like I did, huh. Do you know which way it is out of this forest?"
jayoku Aurora skidded to a halt as the Aekepi stepped out of the bushes in front of him. He let out a rather..unmanly shriek but soon quieted down after reconizeing the boy from before.
Sniffling back tears he nodded his head at Aekepi and then shook his head. He used the back of his hand to wipe the tears in the corners of his eyes. "No..no..I got lost...again.." he replied trying to get ahold of himself.
Aaron Arrikanez "Seems like we both have bad luck today."
He sighed, and walked over, smiling a bit. Taking an apple from a tree above Aurora, he offered it to him.
"Why don't you snack a bit - you look starved. I'm still trying to figure out how to get out of here."
jayoku Aurora took the apple with a shy smile and polished the surface with his tunic. "I couldn't possible eat without sharing." he said as he rifeled through the basket he was carrying and offered Aekepi some blak berries. "You look hungry too." she said trying to lighten the mood through his sniffles.
The fac tthey were both lost at night i the wilderness was worrisome to the young boy. "All I know is we need to find the..north star? to gain our sense of direction." he said remembering what Jay had told him about navigation at night. "but we need to find a clearing of some sort..i can;t see the sky at all here." he said looking up through the massesof branches above them.
Aaron Arrikanez Aekepi helped himself to the berries in the basket, and looked up, tail twitching in irritation. And perhaps a little fear. And a littlle worry.
"You're right about not being able to see the sky. There's too many trees in the way. The only clearing I've ever seen in this forest was while riding in my dads' car... It was 20 miles back the other direction... "
He scratched the back of his neck while he popped another blackberry into his mouth, thinking. He swallowed before speaking again.
"I can make 20 miles.... but it might take the whole night... And I don't even know which direction to start headed. I just remember dad saying something about there being a ring around this central part of forest in which no trees grow.... I suppose we could just start headed straight in any direction for 20 miles, and see where that gets us?"
jayoku Twenty miles seemed really far to Aurora but he nodded his head and inched a bit closer to Aekepi, afriad as if he would start off running in any direction. "My ma also said that moss gross on the north side of tree's..but it is so dark i can't really see much except for you and me." He continued looking a the shadows that now pressed down upon them scarily.
Aaron Arrikanez He nodded a bit, and gripped Aurora's hand in his own. It was a calloused, work-worn hand. He'd been doing chores for a while on the house that Caine and Jason shared here. He squeezed slightly to provide a bit of comfort. HE was scared as well. And the whole "walking 20 miles" thing seemed like a trek to forever. But nonetheless..
"I'll protect you."
He started off, making sure his hand was still in Aurora's, looking up to try and gather some form of direction from whatever he could, and having no luck whatsoever.
"Just stick with me, and I won't let anything happen to you."
jayoku Good thing it was dark otherwise Aekepi would of seen the deep blush on Aurora's face. His hand on Aurora's was rough and different from Kinnara's. But he did feel safer, at least this way he wouldn't have to fear about getting seperated from the lad.
Licking his lips he looked around the dark and very scary forest. Why was it that in the day the forest didn't look so threatening? He wondered about this was they started teh 20 mile trek. Well at least they had the berries he had picked, but he had nothing to drink...
"Aekepi...are you alright? I mean...when that dragon boy attacked you, it looked like you got hurt.." he said remembering the event.
Aaron Arrikanez Aekepi sighed as he thought back to the fight, and thought of the mental and physical scars he bore from it. He bit his tongue against saying anything derrogatory about the dragon.
"I did. But it's.... in the past now. I don't think I'm going to try and apologize for what I did, unless he apologizes for what he did. Which I doubt is going to happen."
He murmured the last, only loud enough for Aurora to JUST hear it.
"I already know it was my fault. I should have watched where I was going."
He squeezed Aurora's hand again.
"Truth is, 'rora.... I didn't want to see YOU get hurt by that brute. And a brute he most definately is. Nothing but a big bully. You n' 'deine don't deserve to be treated like that. Ever."
It was a good thing it was dark. Aeka was blushing as well.
jayoku Aurora smiled but remained silent for a moment. It seemed strange to him, there were so mny guys who were either incredible sweet and caring or complete jerks who liked to bully or hurt others. It made him a bit fearful that he might become like on of them.
"I am glad that no one got seriously injured," he murmured trying to get a better look at Aekepi. The cyote boy reminded him a lot of Kinnara but in a different way. He could fathom why.
They had walked a while and though Aurora tried to start idle chit chat he thought perhaps this was not the best time to bother. "Do you like Mediene?" he asked curiously.
Aaron Arrikanez "Like... LIKE her like her? Or just like her?"
He blinked a bit in confusion. Sure - he liked 'Deine as a friend, but not anything more than that. He really wasn't atttracted to her at all. Though he'd heard Caine say something about it - he didn't really remember what.
"I like her ok - I mean, she's a friend. I don't... LIKE LIKE her... If that's what you mean."
jayoku For some reason Aurora gave a soft giggle and pulled himself up to Aekepi to keep better pace with him. "I was just wondering.." he said with a smile and then noticed that he would out of step with Aekepi and quickly took a double step to switch feet positions now he walked in unison with Aekepi.
"IS there anyone?" he asked now too curious to realize that this was a private kind of question...one you may ask a friend you were really close too.
Aaron Arrikanez Aekepi's blush deepened, and his grip became slightly tenser. He laughed softly.
"Well... yeah... I'm walking with him."
He stopped, turning to look at Aurora. He didn't know how the other would take THAT news - but hey. A "no" was better than no answer at all.
jayoku Aurora stopped short almost tripping on some invisible string. He looked to Aekepi a bewildered and surprised look to his face. "But.." he coughed out not sure what to say, the blush on his own face deepening in the shadows.
"But...I am not a girl..." he went on obviously confused, his naitivity not helping in this situation. He then became very aware that he was indeed holding Aekepi's hand. He wasn't sure if he should let go, a strong part of him telling him yes let go the otehr to frightened of the forest to even dare release the only comfort.
Aaron Arrikanez He looked down, and sighed, tail lashing in nervousness and anger at himself. But when he spoke, his voice was sad. So many emotions running around in that head of his...
"I... I know Aurora... I.... It's because you're NOT a girl that... "
He sounded like he was almost on the verge of tears. He swallowed back his emotion-choked voice, and started again.
"I... don't like girls in that way, 'Rora. Never have, and probably never will. I.. I know you most likely don't like me back. And I knew that before I said anything. It's just... I wanted you to know."
He lowered his head again, and squeezed tighter to Aurora's hand, glad that the other Fable couldn't see his face at this moment.
"Just... wanted to let you know. That's all. I know it's impossible that you feel the same, but I couldn't and can't lie to you. But yeah... we should find somewhere to sleep."
He looked around in the pitch black.
"I know I can't keep going for 20 miles in pitch darkness. The light on my tail isn't enough to cut through this. We'll have to wait here until morning."
jayoku Aurora felt like he had missed something very important. Some link that he couldn't figure out. Perhaps once he was older he would properly understand Aekepi's feelings. BUt for the moment he felt horrible for making Aekepi feel bad.
"I ...appreciate your honesty.." he started and his voice died as he felt Aekepi's hand tighten on his own. He wasn't sure what else to say. He liked Aekepi...but he liked Kinnara and Medeine as well.. When Aekepi changed the subject suddenly he blinked and sniffeled.
"I'm sorry..." he whispered hoarsly his normally calming voice sounding rather choked. "I really do want to be friends with you.." he continued andw inced feeling that his last comment would probably sting Aekepi. And though Aurora couldn't fathom the feelings Aekepi's held for him he still could reconize the sensitivity the situation held.
Aaron Arrikanez He just nodded, and swallowed back any words he would have spoken. It hurt too much to talk right now. He started tying together branches with grass, and the twine that he'd had in his pack. He was making shelter for the night, and he used that as an excuse not to talk. He was careful and methodical about making Aurora's - but his own, he rushed.
"You.... look sleepy."
He murmured, and staked Aurora's shelter down with twigs, spreading soft grasses inside the opening, and halfway to the back. It was a pretty large shelter, and looked comfortable.
jayoku Aurora watched in the dim lighting as Aekepi worked onteh shelters and felt himself pertty useless. He continued holding onto his basket awkwardly, when Aekepi was finished making his shelter he tried to find soemthing to say.
He was tired but he didn't want to leave the situation the way it was. "Come sit with me a while. YOu look hungry." he said trying to offer a half smile and offering the basket a bit. There were still plenty of berries in the basket they could perhaps enjoy a bit of a snack before bed.
He moved into his shelter and sat down, adjusting his tunic so it lay flat before putting the basket beside him. A song came to mind and he started to sing it slowly and quietly.
Somewhere, over the rainbow, way up high There's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby
Somewhere, over the rainbow, skies are blue And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true
Someday I'll wish upon a star And wake up where the clouds are far behind me Where troubles melt like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me
Somewhere over the rainbow, bluebirds fly Birds fly over the rainbow Why then, oh why can't I?
If happy little bluebirds fly Beyond the rainbow Why, oh why, can't I?
Aaron Arrikanez Aekepi's eyes started to close. He was tired. Too tired to stay awake much longer, and the song was the clincher. His eyes slipped shut, and he slumped over, leaning on Aurora's shoulder, fast asleep before the boy even got to the second verse. His breathing was smooth, even, and deep by the time 'Rora had finished the song. He was fast asleep.

Who knew that sending our son out to gather supplies was such a bad idea! Aekepi was lost the entire night, and Jason and I... well, we didn't sleep, that's for sure. I went out looking, and Jason stayed at the house, in case he showed up. I stayed out until around two in morning looking, but I didn't find him, and by the time I had to call it quits, I was dead-asleep on my feet. Imagine my suprise when he showed up the next day with a friend. A male friend, named Aurora. Regardless of gender, Aurora was returned to his parent in good working order, and we have Aeka back. He's taken a certain interest in our lives - and especially in the new addition to our family. Alex. I don't know what he's going to think about that one. Hells, I don't know what -I- think about that one. Times are far too strange for me to comprehend anything more than a nice cup of coffee right about now. Rounds have been murder. On both of us. Aeka knows and understands, though - and for as flirtatious and mischevious as that boy is, he knows how to be a good son. He made sure the rest of the boys were all tucked into bed - which I DO appreciate - and gave Rasied his medication so that Jason didn't have to. I didn't know he was so handy with a syringe! Rasi said he didn't feel anything more than when Jase does it. I'm impressed. I'll have to teach him more about medicine...
Adios for now,
Caine Garrett Kiro

Aekepi's Thoughts: I like him. I really do, but I realize that he doesn't like me back in the way I want him to. It's ok, though. He's happy, I'm.... content, I guess. So everything's just peachy. New brat in the midsts. Name of Alex, and a REAL pushover. I'm going to have to take time out of my busy [pssh, yeah right] schedule to teach him how to fight. All he wants to be is a doctor, but that's tough love for ya. Met someone named Kinnara - a BOY named Kinnara. A HOT boy named Kinnara. Rowr. But once again - not a chance in the world with him - Which sucks. I was kind of looking forward to some quality... ehem. Yes. At any rate. Rasi's going to be ok, because I'M taking care of his shots from now on. I looked up how to do it, practiced on myself [ow], and I guess I'm fairly decent at it. He said he didn't feel much, which is always a bonus. My own medications will be easier to take, too. Jerod's still an a** - no getting past that, the vampiric freak-and-a-half. Kenneth's doing ok, but he's a bit pouty right now. He got blown off by some hot chick down at the mall - or so he tells me. I think he's just looking to get laid. Narin's run off again, but I'm not too worried - he'll be back when he gets hungry enough. I'm just worrying about myself and Rasi for now. Ken and Jer can take care of themselves. And dadC's brother is supposed to be coming over sometime shortly. Joy and delight. His name's Daniel. I hope to gods I scare him.

Meeting in the Wood
Huni Pi Flerida was in a foul mood, not only did Huni not bring her anything after disappearing for months, she had been forced out of the house as well.
"Fresh air will be good for you, now run along and make some friends!" Huni ordered cheerfully before pushing Flerida out of the house and into the street. Quickly she closed the door shut and locked it, effectively keeping the Fable out.
The Fable frowned grumpily at the memory, how was she expected to make friends? She didn't even know what friends are. Were they some sort of food or clothing? Were they pets? In her lonely wanderings, she had arrived at the forest near the village. With the heat from the noonday sun beating down on her, she quickly retreated into the shade of the trees.
With a soft sigh she settled down at the trunk of a particularly large tree and thought to herself what must it be like to climb one. Her talons weren't very useful for climbing, and she possessed no wings to help her up. Besides, she'd probably end up tearing her dress and she knew nothing about needlework. Her guardian could barely mend a hole in her kerchief, let alone a dress.
This wouldn't be so bad if she had someone to talk to besides the rocks. Talking to rocks wasn't weird, not to her but she'd like to hear a voice other than her own.
Aaron Arrikanez "And just what are you doing here, girl?" he asked as he came across her. He wasn't in the best mood in the world, and he happened to be trekking down into the town from his house in the woods to buy supplies. He supposed, however, that it would be alright to stop. He wasn't much of one for strangers on "his" roads, but this one was at least quiet. The last few he'd suprised had run off like scalded rabbits. Fun to chase, no fun to talk to. Ah well. He paused, and leapt up onto one of the boulders near her, looking at her crossly, then sighing. "Ok - maybe that wasn't the best way to greet someone. My name's Aekepi. Call me Aeka. And you DO realize you're on my road, right?"
Huni Pi Flerida glanced up at the voice and stared back at him. He had golden eyes like she did. But he was far more aggressive and louder than she was. She quirked a brow at him, folding her hands primly on her lap, hiding them in the long hem of her sleeves.
"I'm Flerida and I didn't see your name on the road." she answers without batting an eye. "As for what I'm doing here, Aeka, my guardian sent me out to make friends. Do you know what a 'friend' is?" she asks, not even the least bit concerned that she didn't know what a friend was.
Aaron Arrikanez He paused for a moment, as if taken aback by the statement, then burst out laughing, falling off the rock he was on, he was laughing so hard. His tail lashed in the air, as he writhed on his back in helpless mirth.
Huni Pi The Fable blinked at the young man's sudden fit of laughter. What exactly was so funny? She felt her face grow hot in embarrassment and her talons dug into the ground in anger.
"Why are you laughing?" she scowled, her arms folding across her chest while she pursed her lips.
Aaron Arrikanez Aeka quickly wiped tears of mirth from his eyes, and the laughter died down into soft chuckling. NEVER had he seen someone so.... NAIEVE in his life! She didn't know what a friend was, eh? "A friend's someone you like, and who likes you. Not like LIKE like, but just like to be around. Friends are fun. I'll be your friend if you want. I wasn't really laughing at YOU so much as the situation."
Huni Pi Flerida's brows knit together as she tries to take in the other Fable's explanation. It seemed to her that Aeka was far more experienced in wordly matters than she was. Then again, she supposed if she hadn't been cooped up inside the house all these months she'd know what a friend was.
"So a friend is like a title for someone?" she clarifies, still unsure about the concept. "You will be my friend?" she blinks, feeling herself smile despite the lingering annoyance of being laughed at. Even if Aeka explains he wasn't laughing at her, it still felt like he was.
Kanth "He would no more make a better friend than an enemy." Murmured a voice beside her, and around the trunk came a rather large dragon-teen, curling up a bit and sitting beside the harpy-like girl. "It's been a while, Flerida. I've been worried." His golden eyes glanced to hers, kept emotionless. He didn't need Aekepi teasing him about 'feelings' or such things, but that didn't mean he couldn't teach the coyote a lesson if the coyote so decided to push it.
Huni Pi Truth be told, Flerida barely remembered the dragon Fable. But she didn't think it was appropriate to let him know this.
"I have been well, Tasius." She responds with a small nod. "Huni has been disappearing now and again, though." she adds softly.
Kanth The dragon's eyes narrowed, and he furled his fingers, reaching up to brush her cheek gently. "I will investigate this." He murmured softly, before pulling away to leave.
Aaron Arrikanez Aeka's soft chuckle broke the silence, and his eyes fixed on Tasius. He didn't like the dragon. But then again, he didn't NOT like the dragon either. "So the scaly lizard finally shows his horned head." he spoke, mockingly, and with a swish of his tail. "It's been a while. I believe we have a fight to finish. Or maybe another one to start. Whaddaya say we arrange a friendly spar between you and I."

Phonecall...
jayoku Aurora help the reciever to his mouth anxiously. He felt awkward and knew it was probably due to the first and last time he had seen the coyote boy. The words he had uttered...he felt stupid now. At the time he didn't gather the boy's emotions entirely...now he was getting a clearly understanding. And though he wasn't sure of his own feelings of Aekepi, he wouldn't know unless he spoke and saw the boy again. The phone kept ringing. He held his breath unconciously hoping for someone to answer.
Aaron Arrikanez At long last, Aeka picked up the phone, and called Aurora. He'd been gone for far too long, and he was afraid that he'd lost the other child's friendship because of it.
"Hello? Ms. Jayoku? Is Aurora there?"
jayoku Jayoku had gotten up at the earnest ringing of the telephone. Aurora must of been outside otherwise the youth would of jumped at the chance to answer it. Supressing a yawn as she answered she was bugged to find it was fo rthe golden haired boy.
"Yes, one moment I will go fetch him.." she drawled and gently placed the reciever down and hurried to the backdoor. Where Aurora was happily watering the plants whilst humming a tune.
"Aurora...the phone is for you.." Jayoku stated as she then yawned and shuffeled zombie like back to her coffee. Aurora looked up, excitement crossing his face. THe phone was for him? Who could it be? Medeine? Kinnara? the list continued through his mind as he hurriedly watered the rest of the plants and nearly sprinted towards the phone.
Skidding to a halt and nearly sliding on the carpet he managed to catch his balance and pick up the phone. "Aurora here! How can I help you?" he asnwered in a sing song tone.
Aaron Arrikanez "Yeah... Aurora? It's me, Aekepi. How've you been? Look, I'm really sorry for not getting back to you. Our phoneline got disconnected, and.. well... my dads didn't exactly have enough money, quite, to reinstall it until just now."
jayoku Aurora was a bit stunned upon hearing the voice of his friend. "AEKEPI!!! I's been so long!! how have you been? I have been a lot beter recently. I have been doing more wih other fables and everything! we should get together!" he babbeled on.
Aaron Arrikanez Aeka winced a bit, and sighed, tailtip twitching a little.
"I'm so sorry I haven't called you, 'Rora... Gods, I feel like an idiot now..."
He sounded like he'd been sick. Very sick. His voice was all raspy and quiet - very unusual for the coyote.
jayoku "Ne? It is okay Aekepi we all have busy lives." Aurora stated in a much calmer tone. "BUt what is wrong with your voice, you sound ill." he continued on worriedly. "I hope you havn't been sick! that would be dreadful!"
Aaron Arrikanez "To tell the truth, I HAVE been sick. Pretty sick, actually. Sick enough to not be able to go anywhere. Which is why I haven't seen anyone in weeks.... Months. Gods, is it even YEARS now?"
He sounded annoyed - but with himself. He shook it off.
"Anyway... I'm going out of the house for the first time since then. I was wondering if you wanted to come with? Just going for a walk around the woods in the moonlight. Sounded like a good idea."
jayoku Wow that is a really long time Aekepi!" Auro excliamed clearly alarmed by the state of his friends health. "Are you sure you should be going out? I don't want you to get worse.." he trailed off his worried tone evident.. "And I think it has only been a couple months...not years. Certainly not years." he giggeled softly into the mouthpeice. "But...if you do feel up to the walk that sounds lovely.."
Aaron Arrikanez Aeka smiled, and reached over to drag a pen and a sticky-note sheet towards where he was sitting with the phone.
"Great! How does.. hmmm... that park near your house sound? I've never been there, and it would be something of an adventure I'd imagine."
He chuckled.
"Can you meet me in an hour? I can give you my cellphone number to call me when you're on your way."
jayoku "That sounds lovely!" he cried out happily his mind a buzz of thoughts. "Do you know where it is? I don't have a cell phone but I will make sure I wear white so you can find me." he continued and looked for a peice of paper to write on and managed to find both a writing appliance and paper. "Alright I am ready to get your number." he said his fingers poised to write he numbers down.
Aaron Arrikanez "It's 720-431-9923. Don't need a one before it or anything. So you'll be wearing white?"
He doodled on the piece of paper that he'd dragged over, hand once again getting used to working.
jayoku He scribbeled the numbers down and nodded his head even though Aekepi wouldn't see it. "Yes that sounds great! i've got it down and i will see you in about an hour! Do you want me to bring my lute? I have been learning a bunch more songs!"
Aaron Arrikanez He broke into a grin.
"Of course! I'd love to hear some of your new songs!"
He paused for a moment.
"Err.... 'Rora? Promise me something, ok?"
jayoku Aurora stopped his little toe dance and paused. "Yes? what can i promise you Aekepi?"
jayoku Aurora stopped his little toe dance and paused. "Yes? what can i promise you Aekepi?"
Aaron Arrikanez "That you won't scream or anything. For as long as I've been sick, I look pretty ghastly. Or as Caine put it 'better off in death's hands'. So... promise not to go running off the other way screaming?"
jayoku Aurora burst into giggles. "I am sure you don't look that bad! but i will take note of it. i will see you soon!"

A Moonlit Walk
Quote: Aekepi walked through the gates of the park, and peered around curiously for Aurora, about to lose his nerve. It was cold, he looked like hell, and he really didn't want the other to see him like he was. Almost skeletally thin... ok, that was in Aeka's mind. But he WAS. "Ne, I'm fine. I told you I looked ghastly."
He snickered quietly, stretched, and coughed a bit before calming.
"It is HOT out here. One would think it'd be cooler at night, right?"
He kicked a pebble, and watched it skip across the ground.
"So... what has everyone been up to while I've been sick?"Aurora clasped Aekepi's hand and dragged him towards a park bench, where a backpack sat opened. 'You should be resting!" he continued and then releasing Aekepi's hand, he then went through his bag and brought out a juice box. Apple.
"Here you should drink plenty of fluids." he said as he offered Aekepi the drink. His lute sat beside the backpack , the moonlit reflecting off it's polished surface.
"Not as much as you would think..." he finally replied to Aekepi's questions. "I have just gotten back in touch with Medeine and i saw Kinnara only once and I havn't really done much except learn how to play the lute.""Can I at least hear how you play?" he asked quietly, his hand reluctant to leave Aurora's. He sighed softly, and took the juice box, sipping the contents. He really didn't feel all that well anymore, and it was anyone's guess just what was going on with him. He smiled. "I haven't seen anyone - so I've got you beat fair and square." He chuckled, and took another sip. "You look good. But please... play for me?"Chewing on the tip of his thumb he lowered his hand seeing his friend drinking the liquid and then nodded his head.
"Of course I can play for you. I brought my lute just so I could." Aurora then moved the backpack and its contents onto ground and picked up his lute and stummed his fingers along it. Hearing a cord out of tune he then adjusted it to the perfect pitch.
He then sat down and strummed again before pausing and looking deep in thought.
"Got requests? or will anything do?" he asked a smile lighting on his face."Errrr..." began Aekepi. "I'm not too caught up on classics. Anything will do. I wouldn't know what to request. The farthest along I've gotten in my guitar lessons is Greensleeves. And that's not very hard at all. It's not like I can do stuff with it yet." He realized that he'd said something new about himself, and his ear flicked in a bit if irritation. He forgot to tell Aurora! "Sorry, I did forget to tell you. I've been taking guitar lessons to pass the time while I recovered. But like I said - I still suck."Aurora gave a soft exclamation. "WOw! That is great Aekepi! Once you get better we could start a band." Aurora mused out loud, and then he laughed, "Though we may need a couple more people to play." he gave another laugh, this one soft and tinkling.
"Well how about this song then?" Aurora cleared his throat and strummed a coulpe notes on the lute. he ave Aekepi a smile, 'I just learned this one after i watched the movie it was in." he explained as he then began to sing softly.
I follow the night Can't stand the light When will I begin To live again?
One day I'll fly away Leave all this to yesterday What more could your love do for me? When will love be through with me? Why live life from dream to dream? And dread the day when dreaming ends
(Instrumental)
One day I'll fly away Leave all this to yesterday Why live life from dream to dream? And dread the day when dreaming ends
One day I'll fly away Fly, fly AwayAeka's eyes closed, and he slumped back against the bench. This was bliss. Aurora's voice sliced the night air like a silver knife, beautiful and haunting all at the same time. It also helped that Aekepi was very much in... 'like' with him. Though he wanted to say it was more, and wouldn't for fear of being rejected. "You sing like an angel, 'Rora.." he said quietly, when the song was finished.Aurora looked up from his instrument and cast Aekepi a glance before blushing. "no no i doubt my voice could be comparible to an angels. " he answered embaressed.
"Would you like to give it a try?" he asked offering the lute to Aekepi. "I mean it isn't a guitar but they are somewhat similar.""M...me? Try that?" He blinked, and looked at the instrument in a hesitant manner. "What if I break it? Gods, I'd feel horrible if I broke it... like, snapped a string or something..." He felt a blush rising at the next sentence. "And yeah... you DO sing like an angel, 'Rora. Best I can manage is a half-in-tune croak."Aurora giggeled his boyish giggle and then offered the lute persitantly. "Come now I know you won't break it in half." he laughed trying to imagine such a thing happening. "And a broken string is fixable, not the end of the world."
He gave him one of his bright smiles, "Come even if you can't sing you can play. We can choose a song i can sing to and you can strum to."He swallowed, and took it, running his fingers over the strings, and producing a halfway decent sounding chord. His eyes widened in surpise, and he strummed again with his fingers in a different position. The different chord sounded beautiful. He grinned, and started strumming in what he didn't know was G-chord, and just having a good time. He liked music, but he never would have thought he'd be able to MAKE music... Not like this, at least."See. I told you that it wasn't that hard." Aurora laughed and then moved a bit closer to Aekepi and wrapped an darm around him so his fingers could reach Aekepi's cord hand. "Now if you shift you fingers like this.." he trailed moving Aekepi's fingers to form the C cord, "YOu get the C cord." he explained as he then moved back again watching Aekepi happily.
It was great seing him again and even better that Aekepi seemed to be having a good time.He grinned slightly, and looked over towards Aurora. He wondered, vaguely, if the other boy could hear his heart pounding, as Aeka was sure he could. He swallowed back something he was going to say, and looked down at the instrument. The touch of 'Rora's hand almost froze him in his tracks, but he regained himself, and nodded, strumming the chord. His heart was somewhere in the vicinity of his throat. He couldn't speak without choking. It wasn't that Aurora was naive, very innocent described him well. He did notice Aekepi's nervousness though, but mistook it for him not feeling well.
"Are you okay?" He asked looking very concerned. "Don't push it if your not feeling well. Do you want another snack?" he asked already reaching for his backpack to retrieve the various drinks and snacks there."No! No, I'm ok." he said hastily. "I'm just... well... A little nervous." He laughed quietly, and yawned. "And tired." he admitted with a vague sigh of defeat. "Playing is really fun... but I know that dad told me my body still needs rest." He sighed again. "Can.. um... can you call me later? Like... tommorow or something? I just need some rest, but I don't want to loose touch with you like I did before..."Aurora nodded his head, compeletly understanding that his body still needed rest.
"That is fine," he answered handing Aekepi another juice box. "I wouldn't want you to get sick again. Not when you are starting to feel better." he concluded and took out his own juice box and after puncturing the straw through the designated opening sucked from it.
After a moment he swallowed and yawned as well. ' Yah it is getting late, I can call you. I have your number written down at home so no fear in me not callin."He glanced back at Aurora, and smiled broadly, though he was still quite tired. "Thank you for tonight, 'Rora. I look forward to spending more time with you when I'm feeling better." He smiled, and started off back to his house. He really WAS sleepy, and his body DID need more rest. He shouted back at 'Rora. "Oh! And next time, let's go to a movie!" before he was too far out of sight to hear the response.

Dear Journal,
I have my own Blog now! I know, that's not the most pressing of my news, but it's true. I never realized just how FUN having a weblog can be.
Here is the Link
At any rate. I'm getting better, but I'm still not 100%. DaddyC says that I had a pretty nasty bug, and it's going to take more than a few days for me to get over the aftereffects. But still. I got to go out today, with DaddyJ, to help with groceries. Caine isn't feeling too good, so me n' Jason went out, and bought groceries, and he treated me to an Ice Cream Sundae. Yum! I love ice-cream sundaes! There's more on that little adventure in my Blog.
In other news... I met up with Aurora, after losing touch with him. He plays the lute and sings like an angel, so I lost my head a little. But it was nice. I got to meet with him again, and that's really all that matters to me at this point in time. My dads both keep telling me I'm too young to be in love, and I guess they're right. I mean... I dunno what it's called, but for he n' 'Deine both, my heart starts to race whenever they walk by. However, they like each OTHER, so I'll just have to be content to sit back and watch from the sidelines. Even if that DOES hurt, just a little.
I'll find someone. I dunno who. But I'll find SOMEONE.

Dear Journal,
My Blog subscription ran out! I was a bit pissed, but dad says it's for the better, so I can actually write in THIS thing. DaddyC's been around a lot lately - but DaddyJ's kinda been in and out. Caine says that it's meetings, and I believe him, but does Jason REALLY have to go to so many meetings in one week? I've got to come up with a way to make both of them calm down, and take a vacation. Not sure how I'm going to DO that - but I'll attempt it, at least. Not much time to write - have school. Gotta get to class!

Dear Journal,
Well how do you like that! I got kicked out of school! I don't even know -why-, either. Though... the flame on my tail, and the fact that I kept setting fire to textbooks MAY have a little something to do with it.... Eheh. But yeah. No school anymore, yay! DaddyC is NOT pleased. Neither is DaddyJ. I don't know what I'm going to do about it. I might go hide in Bastion's room. He likes me, I think...
