[I suppose what I've been reading about so often is eclectic neo-paganism?
But every book, every person, EVERY FRIKKIN PERSON is calling it Wicca.

One of the issues is that a lot of these people writing these books learned from other people writing books. It's a bit of an echo-chamber. And the Wiccans are in the background either straining to be heard or trying to ignore it.

So you can be a witch, and get into spell-work, and maybe even worship a god and goddess, or several, and practice divination, and "celebrate" Sabbats, and Esbats, and attempt to enter trance like states to travel to others 'dimensions' or planes for lack of a better term I've always reffered to this as astral projection or simply projection, and work with herbs and create charms and potions and love the earth and NOT be Wiccan.

Sure. I am. Most Pagan witches are.

So, if I were interested in all of the above yet could not possibly be initiated into a Wiccan coven or practice etc. the term for that would be.....

eclectic neo pagan?
solitary witch?
Once I figure THAT out, I will maybe start to refine my literature hunt a bit more with more appropriate key words so I'm learning about the right thing here.
help...me....

You're both those things, and probably more besides. I'm not sure defining yourself at this point is going to help you find what you're looking for, though. As an eclectic, you can read from a wide range of stuff and draw inspiration from it. Again, what you're already reading isn't a problem. The name is wrong but everything else might be fine. Different publishers and bookstores use "Wicca" different ways, so you're fine to keep it in your search terms even if coven-based religion isn't your bag.

I'm not so much defining myself as of yet as I am more so interested in researching the right way, and more often than not, when possible I'd like to be researching something that 1. I could possibly be part of ever if it fancies me (clearly not Wicca after this conversation) and 2. uses the correct terminology.

Curious, what are your dieties as a hedgewitch?

I'm glad my Tumblr was useful to you, bee. I keep it mostly as a photoblog, to share the things I create, but I've got too many opinions to ever really be quiet on subjects I'm interested in too long. Just remember that they're only my opinions, and that I'm only a 1st degree Gardnerian - I don't know everything, and I'm working my way through the Craft within my coven still.

I understand your frustrations 100%. I went through all of them in the 15 years I spent as a solitary seeker of Wicca.

I'm not around much these days (I'm fighting off some seriously bad health and doing my best to stay restful in bed, as ordered) but you can generally poke me around these parts - just start a separate thread - and I will get back to you.
