Jarel is caught with a stomp, keeping him on one knee. In retaliation, he attempts to catch jacob with a quick uppercut to the jaw

It looked like the two wrestlers would be going tit for tat, but there was a little bit of power behind that uppercut and it caused Jacob to take a few steps back.

Jarel pushes himself up again and looks to grab jacob's arm, attempting to irish whip him to the ropes. On the rebound he'd attempt to catch him in a tilt a whirl backbreaker

Jacob was whipped into the ropes by Jarel and rebounded into taking the Tilt a Whirl Backbreaker.

This time around the ref slapped his hand to the mat twice, but couldn't do it again as Griffin kicked out right before the three count.

The Boston Crab was locked in, but Jacob would quickly try to crawl to the ropes.

once Jacob reaches the ropes, Jarel keeps the hold in as the referee counts, but he lets go at a count of four and goes to slam jacob's knee into the mat

Jacob thought he had a break from the action after he got to the ropes, but Jarel slammed his knee into the mat.

reaching down, Jarel goes to pull jacob up by his arm, then lift the smaller man up and drop jacob's knee down on his knee (can't remember to save my life what that move is called)

(It kind of reminds of a Knee Breaker, but it doesn't look the same as how you said it! Lol)
Jacob's knee met Jarel's knee and it caused Jacob to fall to the mat holding his leg.

(That was exactly what i was thinking. seriously could not remember such a simple name. I'm getting old)
some may wonder at Jarel's strategy. After all, he's the bigger man and normally people try to chop him down, but the Dragon likes to be different sometimes. Plus, he has a strategy. and not that normal beat the crap out of whatever and whoever is in his way.
anyway, Jarel sees the opening he's created and now attempts to lock Jacob into an ankle lock and pull him towards the center of the ring

Jacob felt his foot being grabbed, and he starting kick at Jarel's hand trying to keep him from fully locking in the Ankle Lock.
