Jerry ducked as the lamp went flying. She was in shock, clearly. Maybe some time to cool off, things would be better? Pick up the pieces of her life and rebuild- "Th-that's what I did," He managed softly, "When I came here. That's what this place is... is all about-" He jumped outright as the chair went flying, but when the flute clattered against his feet, his brows furrowed as he stooped to pick it up, to look it over and make sure it was unharmed in her fit. He winced as she screamed, "When... when you calm down I'll be waiting." He managed, setting his jaw as he took a step backwards towards the door and nearly tripped over the chair. "You don't know what you're saying. We can get through this."

"That's what you think?! This place is about.. it's about rebuilding?" Sasha gave a harsh bark of laughter, the sound sharp and grating. "I am exactly where I am when I signed on. It's ridiculous, don't you think? Back home, in France - taking care of a .. a .. a drunk b*****d that I thought was my father - and here again. You.. maybe that was my fault. I'm a ******** fixer. I just want everything to be nice and wonderful and music and it's all bullshit."
Her voice dropped; nothing more than a hiss, words full of venom.
"It's broken. All of it, it's all broken and I can't fix it - and the truth of the matter is that I don't want to fix it, Jerry. I don't want to fix you, and I don't want to fix me. I like feeling this anger - it makes sense to me. It feels comfortable."
She took a step forward, stalking after him. Teeth bared, fingers curling to form fists.
"Even after he died, I was afraid of being a failure. I was afraid of letting him down - letting his memory down. Stupid. So stupid of me. There's no sense in pretending anymore. There's no sense in trying to be a good daughter. Just baggage, a weight."
Sasha laughed again, the sound slightly crazed.
"I'm free. I'm free."
Tears welled, spilled over, unchecked.
"It's beautiful."

"It's... it's good to be angry," Jerry managed weakly, his leg hitting the chair between him and the door. "I n-never asked you to... to fix me. I need to fix myself and... and I've been working on it. It's not... it's not something I can just do. You're right to be upset- that's... that's pretty startling news," He pushed his glasses up his nose, a smile drifting across his face, "But... but you don't have to do this alone. I want to help you, Sasha. I want to... to be a better man for you."

"It feels good to be angry. And.. maybe I don't want a better man."
Her tone changed, dark and monstrous.
"Maybe I don't want a gentleman who wants to cater to everything I say. Maybe I want something else. Maybe I want something dark and ugly. Maybe I don't want forever after, Jerry. With you."
An odd, musical laugh rang out - and kept going - and going. Sasha clapped her hands over her mouth to stop the sound. She stood there for a long moment and merely stared at him before her hands dropped to her sides.
"Be what you would seem to be -- or, if you'd like it put more simply -- Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise." She paused.
"We're all ******** mad here, Jerry. I'm not going to pretend otherwise any longer."
Sasha burst into laughter again before taking another step forward.

"W-well, well then maybe I am crazy too because I want to help you like you helped me. Is that wrong?" He spat, a wild terror curling in his stomach at the sound of her tone, the look on her face. Sasha was in a Bad Place, and there was no Killzone to help her find her way out of the darkness.
But he could help, he was sure of it. Maybe there were stages she had to go through on her own but he was confident they could get through this. What had he done, besides love her? He hesitated only a moment before stepping towards her, his hand out stretched.

"You want to help me? You think you can fix this? You think that.. that this needs fixing? That I'm, what... broken? That I need your help? That I need anyone's help, Jerry?" She glanced down at his outstretched hand, just for a moment, before her eyes flicked back to meet his.
"All the things I've missed out on in my life. The parties, the.. the nice clothes. Friends. Lovers. For what? For who? A drunk I could never make happy? A man that took care of me - barely - because he had to. Why? To what end?" Sasha loomed closer, fingers brushing through her short hair - dislodging Nona.
The blades flashed to life in her hands. Sasha stepped closer.
"This is my chance for a fresh start. A real new beginning."
She tapped the blades together, a cold tink-tink echoing throughout the small room.

"Everyone needs a little help sometimes!" He managed, breathing deeply as he held his ground, despite the flash of blades. She wouldn't.
Alright, maybe she would.
"I... I'll give you some time to think but... but the moment you need me I'll be here, alright? You... you aren't alone. You're right. This is a time for a fresh start. But that doesn't mean you have to be something ugly! You're an amazing woman, Sasha. Regardless of... of what happened, it's what made you YOU."

"I don't need you. I don't need anyone."
Nona's blade whistled through the air, the hooks lodging deep into the drywall next to Jerry's head. Sasha's expression remained unchanged.
"I don't need time to think. This? It isn't something ugly, Jerry. This is something beautiful. It's the most perfect thing that's ever happened - maybe you don't see that."
Drawing up close, Sasha pressed against him. Eyes narrowed, teeth bared.
"I don't have to worry anymore. The lies, the secrets. I can handle those. The greater good, whatever." She jerked her head back, pressing the cool, smooth curve of Nona's hooks along Jerry's jaw. "I can deal with the deception - but don't you understand? Can't you see?"
He was so blind. So precious. Such a foolish man.
"I don't need his praise, his pride, his approval. It's taken all of this to make me realize. To help me see."

Jerry gave a squeak, flinching as the blade nearly took his nose off. "I need you, though." He whispered. "It's... it's alright to be angry. But you can't be angry all the time or... or... or you're just... you're Rep."
Suddenly she was against him, his heart racing in his throat. She wouldn't hurt him, at least, he convinced himself she wouldn't hurt him, she was just upset. Needed an outlet. If anything, he could give her that outlet.
WWKZD?
"You... you just need to find your Sasha Place." He could almost feel the rage bubbling off of her like a thick, noxious miasma.
Alpha Wolf, Roar grumbled, Take her down before she cuts your legs off.
She had pulled back a hair, but it was now or never. He did what he always did when facing an upset young woman inches from his face.
He leaned in to try to steal her lips.

"You're wrong." It was sweet, really, how worried he was about her. "I'm not Rep. I'm the b***h Rep has nightmares about. If he was less of a man he'd have wet his pants that day I beat his a**."
Sasha leaned in, her lips a hair's breadth from his. Nona was desummoned, the barrette lodged in the drywall near Jerry's temple. Cool fingers curled around his neck. She realigned her feet. His hair was soft against the backs of her hands.
Her knee came up. The chance of a miss was microscopic at such close proximity, but it could still happen. Sasha tightened her fingers in his hair as her body shifted closer.

"Y-yes, well, I'm not Rep eith-" His comment was cut short as the knee collided, and he was stopped from buckling by her grip on his hair. "You... you don't... want to fight me, Sasha..." He wheezed, eyes watering as the pain sent sparks flying in his vision. "I'm... I'm not..." He struggled, pulling back before finally, a hand shot up to try to shove her away, "I'm NOT your Papa!"

At his shove Sasha released him, reaching up to retrieve Nona from the wall before slipping away completely. She moved towards her jacket, picking it up from its position on the ground.
"Thank God for that, Jerry." Sasha shook her jacket free of debris, bending to snatch up the necklace and a few pictures. They were shoved into her pocket. She drew up to him again, delivering a little pat to his cheek before stepping around him.
"I've got to go see the doctor. Keep the flute."

"Sasha, Sasha wait-" He froze, bracing himself as she approached him but when she only delivered a pat to his cheek, his brows furrowed.
I've Got to see the Doctor...
"SASHA." His hand lashed out to grab her arm, ready to haul her back in again, "W-what can he do that I can't?"
Alpha Wolf. The knife was twisted. "******** the doctor! And... and ******** your emotional problems! Just TALK to me! You've been... been pushing me away for WEEKS now and I don't know what the ******** I did! I've tried to be supportive! I've tried to be there for you! When you were taken... I thought... I thought I'd lose my mind! You wanted to take things slow, I've taken things slow but you're still my best friend. Who... who do you think I am?"

"He can answer my questions," she jerked her hand away - whether or not his hold was tight enough to keep her close remained to be seen. "Maybe not now, but when the time is right." Sasha took a moment to register his cursing, brows lifting in amusement.
"Maybe the problem is you didn't do anything. Maybe the problem is that you're not what I need."
Sasha's face twisted then, her free hand forming a fist.
"Let me go, Jerry. Right now."
