Edgar couldn't resist playing again. It had been fun to try last time, even if he hadn't scored very high. Determined, the zomboil played as hard as he could manage, wanting to at least do better than he had the day prior. After he finished, he looked at his score, nodding in approval. It was better than his last one.

Score: 28

He was back for seconds at the dancing machine. Danny had every intention of getting a higher score then the day before. He didn't want to repeat yesterdays song though out of boredom so he picked 'Scary Face' by 'Lady GrrGrr'. It was a pretty easy song until he got to the middle; then his feet seamed to trip over his own furry paws. He jumped off then looked at his score 28. One point less then yesterday.

Oh man, this was COOL. Maggie had decided to go to Meixiang's booth to see what it was all about, and it was DANCING AND MUSIC AND STUFF. She wasn't sure if she should play like a dancin' fool, or just stand and oogle all the pretty lights and stuff. She decided to play like a dancin' fool. Mostly because it looked pretty easy, too. And that music was just SO dancable. She also made notice of the grab bags Meixiang had out, and that the zomboil she'd met at the Art club meeting was there with cupcakes...what was his name again? OOOH THIS WAS GOING TO BE AWESOME.

Wow this guy was...really excitable. Alex blinked down at him a couple of times, reaching up to run fingers through his white and black hair, revealing the empty eye socket before his hair flopped back into place to cover it. "Okay then, Tama, I'm Alexander." He held a hand out down towards the boil, while inwardly wishing he would just stand up. This was so awkward!

Dear Jack, so many questions! Where was he supposed to start? "Um, ya, I'm a student here. Second year, actually, and I'll hopefully be taking my third year exam soon." He took a second to pause, pondering the next question.

"Reading, mostly." And more recently, killing humans and picking fights with hunters. "And I collect ties." That seemed to about sum him up, right? "Oh, and dancing, obviously."

Oh! Goodies? Ya, Alex had a ton of those. He picked up one of the ghost spookies and thrust it towards the crouching boil with a slightly apprehensive smile. "Here, my mom made these so they're probably delicious." Alex didn't really know. He didn't like spookies or cakes.

Wow this game looked easy. You just stamp on the flashing lights when they get to the top of the screen? Please, how hard is that? Kwasi had never played DDD before, but well, c'mon. It was walking energetically in place. He was certain it would be no challenge at all.

from here

Carrol sucked at rhythm games. First person shooters were his thing, followed by fighting games, then the racing ones, but since he hadn't seen the Scario Kart booth yet, the boil was willing to make do with hopping around like a d**k for the time being.

He climbed up onto the machine and began smacking at the start button with a small fist right after some ghoul with huge wings finished her turn. Carrol's face brightened as the music began, but when he got to arrow hopping, his tail caught on the bracing bar behind him and he was forced to flail like a startled spectropus in order to stay upright. He stumbled off of the dance pad when the song ended, his expression caught somewhere between shock and constipation.

That had been an epic fail.

But Carrol didn't look back. He would not admit defeat. He was the Game Master.

As he left, the monster claimed one of the ties laid out on Alex's side of the booth. He didn't go to Amityville, nor did he know who Mort was, but he was pretty sure he would be able to come up with something that SC could mean that was cooler than whatever it actually stood for. Peace out, bros.

Finally, Eisheth managed to find Mei's booth. Well, Mei wasn't the only owner: they were working here together with one of the ghoul's friends, Alex, that horseman had seen before.

"Mei!", Eisheth waved her hand. Her first intention was to jump over the counter, and hug the ghoul pushing her closer, but the alchemist didn't want to embarrass her ghoulfriend, besides, there were too many curious eyes around. Of course, the Jiang Shi's booth was dedicated to her favourite activity: dancing!

"I think, now we have the opportunity to solve our old argument", she said softly moving closer to Mei. "I mean, what is better: technically repeating certain moves, or surrendering to the rhythm!"

With no hesitation Eisheth jumped on the machine, and selected the first random song. It took her just a couple of moment to get used to the melody, and feel the rhythm, and then she was lost in space till the end of the song. Feeling a bit tired, Eisheth took a look at her total score - 26 - and sent a proud look to Mei.

((Enter))

Yin was walking to Mot's booth, Miss Danny by his side. The only good thing about this was the atrocious orange bow was facing away from the booth he was passing. Glancing over he saw a familiar undead...and then an even more unfamiliar one next to her.

Swallowing, his mouth suddenly dry he raised a hand to wave. "Greetings Miss Meixiang. Alexander." He did not slow and he certainly did not stop. He just kept walking.

He had taken the boil's hand with both of his and shook it vigorously. Unfortunately for Alex, he didn't stand. He just bobbed his head while Alex explained who he was. And when he got his goodies, he stuffed his mouth full of everything.

A few seconds later he had finished almost half of his feast, but all of the people around him sure distracted him from his main goal. His head whipped around to watch the people dancing, having fun...

... and then landed on Yin and Danny. He cocked his head as he gazed the two passing Alex by without slowing down. Huh. Why wouldn't he stop for some yummy good stuff and to dance?

"Mmmmn. They're goo'!" The inugami didn't know much about table manners either, speaking with his mouth half full. "Now I know you!"

And so Alex found himself standing behind a booth, a strange boil crouched in front of him, bobbing his head up and down as he nodded, quite possibly only the top of his head visible over the booth counter top that was covered in goodies and ties.

This probably looked really bad to anybody who was walking by.

And of course, there just happened to be two people walking by right at that very moment, though whether or not things looked bad was the last thing on the zomboils mind. Yin. It was Yin. He hadn't seen the other boil since...well, since they had their fight and the weremantis had kicked Alexander out of his room. His own mouth was suddenly dry as well, and it felt as though all of that slow healing, that emptiness that he had very steadily been filling by spending time with his friends and meeting new people and trying to move on with his unlife...it all just went crumbling away. Exposed, raw, painful. Just like after it had first happend. He had known that he would run into the other boil eventually, but he had hoped that by then he would have been over it, and it wouldn't be so bad.

But he had been wrong.

Of course, he could only stand there silently, staring with his visible eye. He wanted to say something. He should have said something. Yin had. Yin had greeted him, and it was only then that Alex really noticed the changes in the other boil. He looked...different. Somehow older. More mature. And...and...

..And he had wings. He had wings. That meant that he had had his final molt, and that by weremantis standards, he was now an adult in his own right. And Alex had missed it. Wouldn't be able to congratulate him, or celebrate with him.

"Yin..." He finally said, quietly, too quietly. The other boil wouldn't have heard him. He was already long gone, moving away quickly with Danny by his side. Of course, he wouldn't have wanted to stick around and chat. He had no reason to want to.

Alex's attention was suddenly drawn back down to the boil at his feet, his pale gaze snapping away from Yin's retreating form. "Hrm? Oh--oh yes, that's good." He gave the boil a weak smile.

"I'm so sorry, could you just...excuse me for a moment. Mei?" He glanced over to the other ghoul. "I'll be back in a little bit, okay? I just..need a few minutes." His voice sounded lower then usual, slightly more gruff and harsh.

Hands shoving into pockets, he shuffled his way out of the booth, around it, and to the back, where he leaned against the wall and sighed, closing his eye, a look of pain creasing his features. Just a minute. He just needed a minute.

Mei grinned widely, leaning forward in her seat as Eisheth finally decided to stop by her booth. She was most certainly happy to see the Horsewoman of course. Not being happy to see your ghoulfriend was kind silly. Although if Eisheth had decided to jump the counter and hug her it would be a little bit awkward. The ghoul preferred to keep most of those more.....touching moments in private. At least the more risque of the sort anyhow.

"Eishe!" She nearly cooed. With a laugh she shook her head. "Now now, DDD isn't the same as the kind of dancing we were talking about okay? Besdies, you can flail about all you want playing DDD too. So there. I win." Still with her hands beneath her chin with her elbows propped up, she watched her ghoulfriend dance behind purple shades with a wide grin. "Noooot too bad. Might need just a little work." Mei pinched her thumb and pointer fingers together so that there was just a little free space between them. "Of course, if you want a real challenge you should play against me sometime."

She had nearly missed Yin passing bye. Giving him a meager wave, too interested in watching Eisheth flail about on the DDD machine. When Alex excused himself she merely nodded. But her gaze flicked back to Yin, watching him as he left. With another ghoul. A light frown on her lips.

Reaching beneath the booth counter, Mei pulled out a bag. Its contents clinking as she set it upon the flat surface. Reaching into the bag she pulled out a blue, star shaped pin that had "You Tried!" scrolled across its surface.

Fai was attracted and repulsed by the music all at the same time. Fascination took the place of both feelings and he headed to the noisy booth, watching curiously as the scarelings danced on the strangely colored squares and received ratings on how they did.

Once he was up, he looked at the squares, then at the screen--and he started to dance.

Now let's not get this wrong--Fai is an excellent dancer. But he's not good at following instructions one bit. Ah well.

Petro was, is, a serious boil that some might think needed to learn how to lighten up. Obviously those people never saw him dance. He may have tried this game before, once or twice, but definitely not enough for him to think he was adept at it, let alone proficient. But he enjoyed dancing in any form and decided he'd have fun all the same. He stepped up to the machine for his turn and waited for the song to begin. The song was unfamiliar to the horse boil but he did his best to follow it. He may end up humming the melody afterwards.
