"She came and got you?" Shun repeated, staring hard before murmuring lowly, "It must have been some sort of ploy..."
Shaking his head, he clenched his fists tightly, "It doesn't matter. They all deserve to die. One way or another."
As she continued to speak, the Reaper frowned while lowering his head once more.
"I should have stopped you before though.." he whispered, "I didn't want you to go and yet I let you you anyway... And see? Even now.. I seem to only upset you. I'm sorry... it... it really should have been me."
Closing his eye, he turned away, feeling things surging in him again. He didn't want to break like he had a few days ago. Not in front of her again. He just needed a moment to catch his breath or so to speak.
"I'll try to make things better... but no matter what. You are not worthless... you're far from it," he whispered before slowly making his way to sit at the edge of the bed. She didn't want to talk now. At least he assumed that was why she had closed the computer.
"Pain is weakness leaving the body..." he murmured, though it was more to himself, given how quiet he was speaking.

And for once Mitsu couldn't her what Shun had said. Her human ears gave her no acute hearing what so ever. She simply sat and stared at her laptop.

Silence befell the room for some time. Shun had been brooding to himself after the last words were exchanged. He hadn't done much in that time. Just thinking to himself. The Reaper still had that slice of apple in his hand too. Uneaten. Just holding onto it. He was having some trouble getting over how much he had managed to upset her lately. And there was one question lingering within him.
"Mitsu... do you ever regret it? Choosing me?"

Brought back from her trance like state Mitsu's eyes widened and she looked at Shun with an expression that clearly said 'How could you ask something like that?' She shook her head. No, she would never regret meeting him, knowing him, and loving him. Sure there were things about Shun that irked her at times. His lack of care for himself, that blurred line of moral, and his easy ability to kill. No one was perfect though. Least of all her.
Looking to the computer Mitsu felt it worth while to flip it open again though she had to wait for it to load. When she was finally where she needed to be she typed away on the keyboard. 'I love you Shun. There is nothing you could do to make me regret that. Nothing. You are not perfect but neither am I. You're flaws are as much a part of you as your good qualities and without both you wouldn't be who you are. Do you think I am so fickle to turn you away because I am upset?'
There was a moment's pause before she added. 'And you need to eat.'

Though she gave him that look, Shun's expression didn't really change all that much. He didn't expect her to bring the computer back up just yet, so he was a little surprise to hear that voice speaking to him.
"No. It just feels like I've been upsetting you a lot lately. Moreso than usual really," he replied before glancing up at her. Why was it that she loved him?
"For the record... there's nothing that could make me regret loving you either. We have.. our trials. But.. you've given and shown me something that.. I can't even really begin to explain," he added, then looked at the apple slice in his hand. If it was out for much longer, it was probably going to grow a pair of eyes or something like that. He didn't have a stomach still. But... he did say he would try for her.
"Do.. you want half of it?"

Mitsu's eyes were downcast before she tried to focus on her computer again. 'After what happened.' She paused trying to think about what she wanted to say. 'A lot has happened. I can't quite control anything, least of all how I feel.' Did he still not understand? He could be doing everything perfectly and likely something would set her off. 'I'm not sure I'm entirely back yet. My mind is still there.'
'That's what I meant by being broken. I still don't feel right.' She shook her head at his offer to split the apple. 'You should really eat more that just a slice of apple and you're trying to split it. I'll eat again when you start to eat better.' And with that she turned away from the computer but at least this time she had the thought to leave it open so she could go back to it with ease later on.

Shun frowned at this news. Her mind was still there?
"You feel this way.. even with me here? I.. hadn't really experienced anything like that so forgive me. I just... How can I help you? How can I bring you back? Completely..."
He wanted her here. With him. Not off on some island where she was being tormented. As far as the apple went, he let out a sigh. Ok. She was pulling that on him. Fair enough. With a sort of grimace, he began to slowly eat it. It wasn't easy though, considering how he really had no appetite. He didn't feel like eating.

She looked at him again almost warily before nodding. Turning slightly she began to press keys on the laptop again. 'I don't know. I'm really not sure what can be done. It's just hard to forget. Especially with reminders like these.' She gestured to her arms again before bringing a hand up to her throat and then to her short hair. The hair was a less permanent situation but the rest....
Her eyes dropped again and she rose from her place on the floor and moved toward the window leaving her laptop behind. The window wasn't a place she liked to be near before but now she approached it without a problem to stare out and into the forest beyond the monster dorms.

Shun lowered his head at that. She must have been through a great deal if it was like that for her.
"They may be reminders... but you must remember that you survived. You're here now. With me. Not... over there still in pain. My own scars.. are in a way a reminder of the harsh training and pain I've gone through. But they are just scars."
Finishing the apple slice, he got up and moved over to the window with her, gently slipping his arms around her wait from behind.
"You're alive. You can heal. I'm here for you... no matter what. I.. don't know what I can do but I'm here..."
Thinking for a moment, he tried to put this situation in a slightly different light.
"We... kind of match now?"

Mitsu supposed Shun was right, he did understand in a way but she wasn't sure if he understood the true fear that the end...the permanent end was coming. He probably would if she explained but she couldn't bring herself to. Not yet. Telling it would truly be reliving it and she didn't want to focus on it any more than she already did.
She leaned her head against the window pane staring out into the trees, wishing to be outside but to fearful to leave her room. Suddenly feeling his arms around her waist her arms came down to brace around his, leaning against his chest slightly as he spoke. His presence was a comfort she just wished it was enough to erase everything that happened.
....
Mitsu tilted her head slightly to look at her reaper, wondering if he was being serious just now. Of course he was, this was Shun. When was he never not serious?
The corners of her lips twitched like she wanted to smile in response but she couldn't bring herself to quite do it. She leaned her head back against him instead to let him know that what he said was appreciated...despite how silly it was. Yes, she supposed now they matched and really that couldn't be all bad could it? It brought a small amount of light into this dark situation.
An amusing thought hit her but for now she kept it to herself. She was comfortable where she was and would require the use of her laptop to explain. At some point though she would have to let Shun know that the moon was only as worthwhile as the night sky that held it up. It seemed fitting in a way. Her night sky.

Yes, Shun indeed was rather serious about the matching comment. When she tilted her head, he peered back down at her. It looked like she was almost about to smile at that too. But, he could tell that she appreciated it. The Reaper's gaze softened as she leaned her head back, and so he gently leaned his against hers. He hoped he could bring her to smile again soon. He wanted her to be happy. To know that she was alright here.
Turning his head for the moment, he planted a kiss to the side of her head.
"I love you Mitsu... always remember this.." he whispered before looking out the window. The moon was out tonight. It wasn't a full moon, but it no longer hid away in the depths of the night.
"The moon may not always be seen... or even be full, but it always comes back. And the moon itself doesn't change..."

But I've changed. Mitsu thought sadly, looking up into the sky at the quarter moon. It looked like the darkness of night was wrapping around it much like Shun was holding her right now.
She nuzzled against him as a non-verbal way of saying she loved him as well, quiet now that she no longer had her computer to translate her thoughts. Would time really make things better? Mental wounds weren't as easily fixed as the physical. She supposed time would tell but there was still something off, something that made her feel anxious and leery. It was pulling at her but she had no idea in what direction. Troubling as it was she didn't want to bring it up either. Just one more thing that Shun would have to worry about and he already stressed enough that he didn't eat right or sleep.
Speaking of she leaned back and tapped his mouth before making a chewing motion with her own. Food. He needed to eat more. An apple slice was not a meal.

As she nuzzled back into him, Shun embraced her a little more. Though, his hold loosened when she gestured to his mouth and started to make a chewing motion. Furrowing his brow, he thought for a moment, then looked to her with a softened expression.
"Would... you like to go out to eat? We can go to some place small. That way we would both be getting food together."
Instead of him going out to pick stuff up. He didn't really want to leave her alone at this moment.
"Some fresh air may do you well too..."
She hadn't left the room for days and all.

Her face fell a little and once again Mitsu turned her attention to the window. Go out? Outside? Her frown deepened a little as she shook her head. No, she wanted to stay in here where it was safe. Where she didn't risk meeting new people that might not be who they said they were. Here was semi-safe, familiar.

"You can't say in here forever Mitsu... Your room is not a cage. You don't need to stay in here," Shun whispered while holding her close, "I will protect you. I swear it. And... we can go to the teahouse. That's better to be there than to take back... it usually doesn't have many people in there and it isn't too far off."
