"I actually don't know anymore." Damien said quietly, his brow was already furrowing in thought over what future plans they had decided upon. "At first, I had my eyes set on joining the Boogeyman." he continued with only a slight pause. "But after all that's happened, I feel like i need to readjust my goal now." He knew deep down after all that the group put his fellow students through, he couldn't do that to the next generation. "Finding a new purpose in life sucks." There was always going back to the clan for taking the place of the elder, but that didn't sound any more appealing either.

Sometimes it sucked having extra opinions to take into consideration. "I'm envious of your set goals Bul."

Ah! Riley looked her way! Junko grinned more genuinely and waved. Though it was shortly after that she heard Siddie address her, turning her head with a bit of a sway when the weight of her own hair seemed to throw her off balance for a moment. She wasn't used to wearing it like this. Oops. An idea? One braided pigtail lifted like a perked ear on an animal as the ghoul side-stepped closed to Siddie to hear what her friend's idea was. Laciest dresses. Yes please. Tea? Ohh! That sounded delightful! Ghoul time!

Her eyes widened.

Put their friends in dresses.

"I like the way you think." Junko replied with a slow grin, looking a lot less uncomfortable. It was still there but at least she had this delightful little plan to look forward to. "Even the part without the revenge sounds great. I accept your proposal, Siddie~." She giggled and offered her hand to shake on it as if that would make it an official plan.

"Well, I know that its got us all shifting gears after Red but.. she was one at one point. I kinda think maybe we're seeing it different.." Bul smiled genuinely to the pup. "You do what you wanna do man, I don't think pro bruteball is gonna work out for me since while I can run and jump.. I am rather... clumsy-" he snickered and rocked on one ankle while leaning against the wall. There wasn't much room for climbing or burying himself in sand with bruteball.

"So don't be envious of me, I ain't gonna be rolling in any dough ever any time soon." Mmmnn rolling in some sand~ now that sounded good.

"But playing bruteball isn't a bad idea Bul" Damien replied back thoughtfully, "tackling stuff, running and getting your picture on a cereal killer box. plus endorsements." he had to admit it was a solid idea, going pro. " But i'm more of a goreball kinda boil, kicking and making goals is more my style." he said enthusiastically. "Pro goreball, i like the idea, you cant be the only one who has a poster you know." he said in jest and gave the half beast a playful elbow in the ribs.

Sammy looked up from Junko passing a fake gasp. "Me? Enjoying you flustered? Why Siddie.... that is just absolutely true dear." The single finger extended towards her, and she didn't hesitate away, she moved closer running a finger of bone along her shadow claw.

Glancing at Junko she tsked, "All work outs are good as long as you don't damage yourself too much. A little stress on the body is good dear." She chuckled all the more as Junko seemed to agree with Siddie's posture on things.

Then the talk of dresses came up.

For a moment Sammy's eyebrows raised and she debated an objection, but that quickly faded as a smirk grew across her face. "So I'll be taken hostage and dolled up," she sighed, "What ever will I do having to be trapped by my lovely ghoulfriend and her dashing friend Junko all dolled up? Oh wait, I'll just enjoy the show. And spookies. If you do this I expect delicious spookies with the tea."

She was a glutton for Siddie's treats.

Riley saw through Astra's question, and shook her head. If you mean Jericho, he will not. His whereabouts are currently unknown, but that will not stop me from trying to find him. Until then, he is with us in spirit.

She patted Astra's shoulder, and moved over to the middle of the room, where she cleared her mental 'throat' to get everyone's attention.

If everyone could move closer, please? That's lovely, thank you. First, I want to extend by gratitude to all of you for showing up today. Your presence emboldens and strengthens me to do what I need to do for this club, and for you, my friends. And I would also like to say thank you to those of you who dressed for the occasion. While I will not be requesting any physical activities from you this evening, the gesture, and the effort, is appreciated. Now, is everyone ready to begin? This will be a short meeting, I promise.

Christof came trotting back, offering out a plastic cup of water to one of Riley's tentacles.
PostPosted: Tue Sep 04, 2012 6:37 pm

Ah. Thank you, Christof. The tentacle wrapped around the cup, carrying it carefully closer until another tentacle settled its tip into the water and lounged there, slowly sipping. This did not stop her from starting the meeting.

Now that we're all gathered here, I have two main topics to discuss. I will get the first out of the way as quickly as possible, since it is the most difficult for me to discuss, and perhaps the more difficult to hear. Then we will return to pleasantries. The cup was empty now, and she handed it back to Christof with a nod of thanks, before returning to face the group.

Some of you have heard and understand what has happened to me over the course of a few months. Most of you have not. I feel it is my duty as your club leader to explain this to you, before we continue. I will let you decide then, just as you decided in the past, with full knowledge and understanding of who leads you.

She paused to collect her thoughts carefully, before explaining the facts. During the disruption at the former Isles of the Horsemen, this infection you see on my skin took full hold, and eventually killed me. My physical form was stone, but I was gone. And I can imagine how hard that must have been to watch. I've seen the event myself, through Malodore's eyes. But I retain no memory of it - or of my time here at Amityville. This means.. that even though I have been revived physically, my memories have been stolen from me. But that is all I have allowed to be stolen.

Her eyes thinned, and glinted with determination. One does not allow loss to change the kind of person they are inside. That is why I am here, taking my place once more at your side, in your classes, and as your club leader. I have also resumed my duties as Student Council president for the remainder of my term. But right now, my focus is on you all standing here before me, and on our future. So now, I give you this choice.

Her fingers waved idly to the sign-in sheet.

Everyone in this room signed that form, at some point. When you signed it, you joined this club with Riley as your leader. I ask you now, if you no longer wish to be in this club, please scratch your name off of that list and leave. I will not blame you. I will not hold it against you. Each person must make their own decisions in life, right or wrong. I have made mine. I give you the chance now, to make yours. Because as much as everyone might want the ghoul who started this club to lead you into the future.. I am all that is left. And I want to be enough. But that is your choice, not mine.

At this, she fell silent, and waited for any who chose to leave. She would not wait long, nor would anyone who took the option make her pause. She continued with the meeting, after a single deep breath.

And that is the hard part. Now, on to the lighter side of things. As you all should know, we are about to participate in an event called Fright Night. I will be creating a booth for the Fitness Club, to get it back into the public view and to engage new members. I will need volunteers to run the booth for small periods of time here and there. There are two main areas that need staffing - the prize booth, and the dunk tank. Whichever of the two is unstaffed when you visit the booth, is the one I would like you to staff if you volunteer. A sign up sheet for volunteering a small portion of time is located to your right, on the wall, with the constrictor pen trying to worm away from it. Please sign up there, and come to the booth when you have a spare moment to do a little volunteer work. There is no scheduling, it is simply when you are available, and when there is need.

Please note that you are signing up for volunteering to staff the booth, but you needn't sign up to gain attendance credit for the event. Just as with today, simply showing up at the booth and being there to support it with your presence will count as attendance. If there is someone you know who did not show up to this meeting, please make sure they are aware that they should stop by the booth for a bit.

Here she paused, and let people begin to sign up. While they did so, she asked, Are there any questions? Feel free to ask them now, or if you'd rather speak with me privately, I am available after the meeting. Otherwise, this meeting is technically over. You may leave at any time, and .. thank you. Her expression softened considerably. Knowing you're here gives me the strength to do what I must.

Quote:
If you sign up to volunteer, please post it in bold so I see it! Volunteers will receive a small minipet gift for their help - and if you volunteer, please make sure you bring a swimsuit to Fright Night.

Yes, a swimsuit.

This meeting is now over, if you ask Riley a question please quote me! Thanks for coming!

Bul snickered at Demi. "I don't think I'd wanna be on anyone's posters really," the monster chuckled before shaking his head. Instead of a shove back at the hellhound, Bul rattled his spines humbly. Yea a poster would be cool and Mei would always be his health manager but even TOTing would be physically taxing... and Bul liked working outside of the spotlight. He had enough of the school being a target.

Though as Riley began to 'speak up' Bul straightened up. It'd been so long since he'd 'heard' her voice. Memory wipe? Change? Nothing changed as far as Bul could tell. Nothing at all in his club leader. What she said meant about as much to her as it did to him; someone who was not there to witness the event. Mei told him she was gone.

Yet... here she was.

Something about not being there still made it hard for him to comprehend. Did Mei know she was back? It was something he'd have to ask her later. Afterall, they cuddled themselves to sleep over it. Why then when he walked in, and saw her, did he not feel shocked? Well.. it was Riley.

"Here." Bul put a star next to his name while passing Riley a quick glance. The thought to address her about Gale and Mei was brief... foggy... and Bul quickly turned away to avoid bringing it to her attention. Instead he bit his lip and headed towards the door. Now was a terrible time to suddenly realize he was essentially before a ghost of Riley. Did she understand hunters enough? Or the current state of the school? Bul couldn't take any chances... yet if she had gone un-reminded, Bul could potentially rally some powerful help. Oh Jack, he really needed to cuddle with Mei now. :C

The meeting had been brief, but informative. The reaper wasted no time. He wanted to get to know this new Riley. Whether or not they had history was irrelavant. Nothing would bring her back, so he would just have to make new memories, even if letting her go had been one of the hardest things he'd done. His mourning was not for nothing. That Riley was dead, after all.

Mot signed up for a volunteering shift.

Listening to the recounting of Riley's Insanity infection far surpassed the level of 'difficult' that she'd warned it might be. Thackery was visibly uncomfortable, gaze shifting from blank spot to blank spot on the floor, his fingertips drumming out a quiet, haphazard rhythm on his thighs. None of it was anything he wanted to hear, but none of this had been particularly easy before now, either. And it wasn't going to be any time soon.

So as much as he wanted to leave, to hurry back to the temporary safety of the reaper boil's dorm room, he knew that meant giving up in its own weirdly symbolic way. Now wasn't the time to show weakness.

"I'll do it," he piped up, voice a little absent. His fingers were still fidgety when he reached to make a mark next to his name, but he seemed determined nonetheless.

As Demi came up to join them, Seiji offered the other boil a friendly grin. He hadn't spoken to the hound in a while, but he didn't feel like interjecting into the conversation he'd sparked up with Bul. Instead the ghost boil gave his best friend a fond pat on the shoulder before sliding away. Junko had arrived, and he stood back to watch her, smirking at the tank top and little shorts she pulled out only for this club. It didn't matter how many times he assured her she looked cute in the outfit, she didn't seem to be buying it.

He waited before moving to join her, letting her talk with Sammy and Siddie a bit, then before he'd barely started across the floor Riley had gotten the meeting officially started.

As quietly as he could he slid through the room until he was standing at Junko's side. Cool fingers slid between hers, squeezing gently, and he offered her a happy smile before placing his attention firmly on the mindflayer addressing them all. The first matter of business was enough to steal away the soft smile he'd been wearing, but it wasn't really news to him. He'd seen Riley at prom, and since then he'd learned what had been going on. It wasn't a happy affair, but Riley was doing everything she could to fit back into the life and bonds she'd been ripped from, and Seiji respected her for that.

The second part was a request for volunteers, and the ghost boil glanced down at the ghoul beside him, curious if she'd be interested. "So what do you think, should we volunteer?" It could be fun, specially a dunk tank. Seiji didn't mind water at all.

Oh! No exercising, then? Well..good. Junko actually sighed with relief when Riley assured them they were just talking today. She learned toward Siddie and whispered, "We can still do dresses and tea though, right?" Because it sounded like a lot of fun! And she had so many dresses to choose from. That was more her style; an activity like one Siddie had suggested was more appealing to Junko than running around getting sweaty and gross. Though she did like activities like paintball...

Uuuuugh.

As Riley began to tell them what happened..that say, Junko tensed. She'd seen what had happened that day, watching someone she practically idolized..get turned into that. She shuddered and looked away to stare at anything but Riley, rubbing at the back of her neck. Seiji's arrival to her side startled her, though she calmed a bit and gave him a huge smile, returning the hand squeeze. She was glad to have Riley back and to see she was making an effort to return to her old life. The life she had before. It was great to see. Junko's eyes finally turned to the sign-in sheet. They could...just..stop being a member? Oh, now she was torn. Junko had only joined to because Riley had asked her to and she wanted to make her happy. But the fact was she hated working out. But..but Riley..

...But exercise.

This was hard. Uuuuuugh!

"Couldn't hurt, though I think Lizzy wants to set a booth up with me as well. Um..do you want to do the dunk tank? It's fine if you do but..." Junko wasn't touching that with a hundred foot pole. Hair, water...water she was going to be falling into? Nope. Nope. All the nope.

Danny was talking amiably with Mot when Riley finally piped up and quieted them all for her miniature speech. When it came to insanity, Danny wasn't really sure how she felt. She didn't understand it, didn't want to bother it. Honestly though, a rock could've led fitness club and she would've still joined. It didn't matter to her who ran it, just as long as the room was open.

Concerning the booth though, Danny was quite opinionated. "Oh ... Sorry I can't," she said, shaking her head. "I gotta run the Fright Music Club booth."

She shrugged. It was no skin off her back that she couldn't help. She grabbed Mot's hat and put it back on it's right owner's head. "Welp, I'm gonna go. Catch you guys later."

There was a moments pause when Astra listened to Riley, a moment for her words to sink in. She had...known something was up, by the way she was acting, and how everyone was acting around her. But it hadn't mattered to the fairy, she was happy Riley was back.

But now...she realized fully what had been wrong. Riley didn't remember. She didn't remember anything. There was a part of her that felt wronged, cheated. This Riley didn't even know who she was.

But..it was the same Riley right? She said so, only her memories were gone. She still looked (mostly) the same, and acted the same, right? That meant she was sitll her friend...right?

She wasn't sure how to comprehend this, but for now she would focus on other things, like supporting the booth.

"I'll Help too!" She chimed in, pushing all her feelings away. "But I may have to leave for a little while, I might be needed to help out at other booths". She hadn't realized just how many clubs she had signed up to. Oh well, All the more fun!

Except she was feeling a little apprehensive about the dunking part. And the swimsuit part.
