Then he froze. There was a reason he did not talk about his family.
It did not exist.
"I do not know who my parents are," he said stiffly. So yes, siblings were an option, but he would have no idea who they were. He could have even met a sibling nymph. Who knew.

"What? How?" Danny said, with a frown that rivaled the legendary grinch's. "Were you poofed into Halloween?"
This was legitimately distressing her. Yin without parents was just so sad. Danny loved her mummy and deadie, and for Yin to not have that ...
Her arms were itching for a hug but she resisted. Too many hugs. Too many.

Yin was hard to resist, but the mantodae was not aware of that.
"No, I was born from a pumpkin." Mantises did not simply poof into being within Clan grounds after all. "My parents did not keep me." He pretty much just shrugged it off, having accepted it long ago as being part of life. "No one wants to have a boil after all."

 "Yin!" Danny exclaimed, throwing her arms around the boil again. Who even cared, Danny did what she wanted. "Yin I want you! I promise I want you!" This might have sounded odd to anyone listening in, huh. Not that Danny cared.
She was acutely oblivious to the fact that 90% of the time, her parents most definitely did not want her around.

The ghoul's emotional cry was not missed, and yet another hug was slightly shocking. It was probably a good thing Rikki was not there it might have turned into a group hug.
"It is fine Miss Danny. It simply means that there was less to leave behind. I am here now, that is what is important." Now then, to shift the focus off of him as he tried to pull away. "And how is your family?" So smooth.

"They're uh ... I don't really know actually. They don't really call or anything ..." she said, scratching the back of her neck as she let go of Yin. Hopefully there wouldn't be a need for another hug any time soon. WOULD THERE BE A NEED? I CERTAINLY HOPE NOT.
She shrugged and said, "Doesn't really matter." They were both rather "mum's the word" on the entire issue. She didn't want to talk about it, not because it upset her, but simply because she didn't want to talk about it.
With all of those feelings out of the way, Danny remembered her initial offer to the mantis. "Y'wanna go running now?" she offered.
