Lola jerked from where she was applying lipstick to an already overly-painted face-- "Oh, right," she said, tossing her second stick--it hit the drum set, then bounced back, hitting poor Sally as she mourned the death of her guitar.

Mort was in such a guilty daze that he didn't see the drumstick coming until it smacked him across the cheek. That got him going.
"Mrrrr, shut up!" he growled, wielding the guitar pieces threateningly at the gnome (gnomette?) behind the drums. If he couldn't attack, he'd at least try to take one for the team. "Bunch've midget clowns, that's what you are!" Mort yelled, trying to centralize their attacks on him so that maybe Alex and Amrita could get in better shots. "Blind ones too, if makeup says a-anything. Bet ugliest troll would look like Brad Pittbull next to!"

This was ridiculous. They were getting their asses handed to them by a bunch of gnomes! Gnomes in drag, no less! Alex couldn't bare to have that happen, so he picked up the stand that the cymbal normally rested on, did a spin and let it loose.
When it came crashing back towards them he ducked behind his drum set. "SORRY GUYS!"

Lola's crush was a jerk! Oh, she couldn't stand it! She jerked one of the cymbals off of the drum and sent it flying like a discus. It slammed into Alex's head, then ricocheted back, hitting poor Sally where she was still sobbing over her guitar.

Alkdjflkasjdflsdjgaa OW! The cymbal to Alex's head had him sprawling to the stage floor with stars in his eyes. For gnomes, those little jackers could really throw! He pushed himself back up in a bit of a haze, hand reaching up to his forehead, coming away wet with disgusting, thick blood that was practically black and smelt horrible.
With a growl of annoyance and blood oozing down his face, Alex picked up one of the drums, lifted it over his head, and chucked it at the gnomes, not even caring who he hit anymore.

This round was a hell of a lot harder then the first had been. Alex had thought that the point of this competition had been to fight other students, not gnomes forever and ever and ever.
And ever.
Not that he was complaining. He was finding some sick sense of satisfaction with taking the little guys down one by one. This time, he picked up the bass drum and tossed it on over. It was the part of his drum set that gave him the most cover from retaliatory attacks, but it was also the one that would hopefully do the most damage to the other team, and maybe be too heavy to bounce back.
Well, it did bounce back, but at least it wasn't as bad as it could have been. And Alex's arms were getting tired, and the hit to his head earlier was making him feel a little woozy. He hoped to jack this could all just be over soon.
"Come on, Amrita. Take em down." He mumbled, probably completely inaudible to his team mates considering all the noise.

((Everyone roll 1d100! Whoever has the highest roller on their team goes on to the finale!! Or in the gnome's case, gets attacked by other gnomes in the background, stripped down to their panties and hung from various high points around the school. Win win, y'know?))
