Tairon got up and put the apple back in his bag. "Ah, well, I must confess, I'm neither demon, half-demon, nor am I truly human. I've got the blood of a wolf half-demon in me, and I'm able to aquire some half-demon traits. When needed of course. If we can find a spot with not so many people, I can show you that, and my earth magic."

"Sunuvabitch what the hell was that?" Auren growled. "Souloe, keep an eye on her. I'm going to investigate. Damn my lack of Lancers!" Auren called out, and drew Mishizuri and headed to the archway of where the scream came from.

Of course, no one else had heard it, and Auren cursed the fact that sometimes he picked up on things others didn't. Then again, being a Kelswarren, or a 'One Man Army and Assassin' in his native language, having been trained that way. That was before the Wyvern-Rider Training.
Everyone looked at him quietly and he spun around.

"What, none of you heard that?" He growled at them. Most of them looked at him as if he was hallucinating. Auren replied to those looks with one of those phrases your mother would rip your gums out and clean your mouth with bleach and some strange thing the village crazy man cooked up, but cleaned stains well. With that, he jogged to the archway, and was stopped by the guards.

Auren winced at Yami's telepathic call? He turned to her... and sighed. "Righto then." He turned back to the guards. "What are you going to do? Deny her access?" They looked at eachother and stepped aside. "Well, what are you waiting for, ladies first!"

"Quit giggling. I've more honor then that, but others have given me a... strange and unusual reputation. Might not want to let Toleranth in on THAT one. That wouldn't be good."

What he was referring too was the fact that he was away from home so much that some people thought he was just getting away with his wife, and visiting prettier ladies. Auren and Alhana on the other hand, would explode in someone's face if they even hinted at it, and the display of rage would quickly disabuse them of that notion.

Auren brought Mishizuri to his front side and held it to the ready, while looking around the deserted corridors, with Yami tagging behind him, when he heard a most definite non-mortal-and-normal snarl from the darkness when a demon with spines running down its back let go of the ceiling and landed in front of him. Two more appeared behind it and Auren slid infront of Yami.

"Yami, unless you can make yourself useful, stay the hell behind me, and watch my back..." He said quietly. The demons snarled at him, and the first attacked. Auren would've sidestepped it, would've gone under it, but nope, not this time. He had a girl to protect, and he sure as hell couldn't move. He swung Mishizuri in an arc, the blade giving a wind-chime like hum to it as it met the first demon's flesh, and parted it like water. Completeing his follow-through he took a claw and a spine to the chest, neither penetrating his armor.

Auren chuckled at her grumblings. "I can cut your dress later, after we deal with them. They... Look hungry. Get the one on the left and I'll ice the one on the right." He didn't give her much warning, other then a quick "Go!" Auren launched himself to the right, spitting the demon through the throat and down into its gut. Auren didn't hesitate pulling his sword out, since it wasn't like the demon's flesh could hold the sword anyways.

Tsuki cursed the soul of whoever had let these demons in to the ninth layer of HELL. They just kept coming and one had broken her chopstick-weapon-thing...it'd been her favorite! Pulling out a dagger from some place on her body, she continued to fight down the corridor and closer to the next set of stairs; she'd already traveled down several floors and had been encountering bodies of servants for a while now.

She knew what the deceased servant had meant when he'd said underground tunnel...the tunnel was used by the merchants to save the trip through the mountainous terrain that surrounded Esperanza. Instead of traveling with skittish pack animals up skinny mountain trails, there was a convenient set of tunnels and caves that Esperanza Citadel was built over...beginning somewhere at the base of the southern most mountain and there were a few more entrances littered throughout the mountains as well. The main entrance was usually guarded, but noooo, the Commander of the guard just HAD to post all his men in and around the Citadel...he couldn't spare a couple to guard the damn thing...

Dodging another hit, she realized that going back the way she came would be the best choice, seeing as the door was probably busted anyway. She cursed as she realized that there were demons behind her now...this was the reason she hadn't shadow teleported in the first place, if she had done so she would have landed smack dab in the middle of a group of demons.

Knowing that it was useless to think when she needed all of her consentration to get back to the main levels of the Citadel, she focused on hacking demons to pieces...

YAmi sighed, somehow resisiting the urge to set fire to the part of the dress that had been cut off, and took off after Auren. "It's not me you need to worry about, silly, It's TOlly. I doubt he'll be overjoyed." she murmured, just loud enough for him to hear. Her focus however was on listening and smelling the air in an attempt to figure out what was going on, before they were overrun again.

Tolly taced where yami and Auren where heading inhi mind eye, since the fact Yami was very open, and he was used to her signature to locate it.

Moving slowly through a corridor, that by his current pace and image of the castle/citdel corridors would put him at a junction whee auren and Yami would be in a few minutes. Unfornately given the amounts of red glowing eyes gretting him up ahead in the darkened spot of the corridor between torches.

"Pity and I was looking forward to being on time."

Yami dearest, i hope your doing alright, and do tell Auren I should be little late meeting up with you at the thrid intersection up ahead of you two.

Tolly moved forward, slowly working his way into a run. and soon the hallways was filled in fire, rolling in his direction, tolly through his outer robe over hi face and plowed into it.
