Xiu might've been anxious to set the Kushi free, but Lou wasn't even going to attempt to wait for that thing to stop. With one fell swoop, he ripped the door clean off. ******** stopping the machine.
Hurriedly he dug through the hot clothes with a look of panic that was not familiar to the vampire's face before pulling out...
... A large puff ball. No really. It was two eyes, a mouth, and then just... Fluff. "I must've knocked him in when I was loading the dryer." Cringing, the boil poked at the little fluff and jumped as he got a jolt of static. "EUGH! I think my heart beat a little."
The kushi, however, didn't look nearly as amused as Lou. "Fine." Another moonflower seed was removed from his pocket and placed in Stiletto's paws.

To say that Xiu was stunned would have been an understatement. She jerked back in shock when the vampire suddenly tore off the machine's door.
...Were they going to have to pay for that?
Though frankly, that didn't matter right now. The baku hovered over the boil anxiously as he dug through the clothes, noting his expression with a hint of surprise. Was Lou really that attached to his mini? Certainly, Xiu cared a great deal about her own minipets, but something about the vampire had made her assume that he couldn't be serious about anything. Thus...this was really quite the surprise to see.
She perked up when he finally pulled the poor kushi out of the dryer. In an instant, the baku leaned down slightly until she was face to face with the kushi, her ears drooping slightly. "Stiletto, are you okay?!" He seemed to be okay, aside from being significantly fluffier than before. Reaching out, the ghoul promptly tried to pat down his fur for him.

Yes, indeed they probably were.
Sighing, the boil held the ball of fluff out for Xiu to examine. Yes, there was one thing Lou truly cared for, and that was his precious minipets. Especially Stiletto. Because really, who would be his bro if the kushi disappeared? Bros before hoes, as they say.
The kushi practically snatched the moonflower seed from Lou's fingers, stuffing it into his cheek for later consumption. The whole experience had left him less than hungry.
Then Xiu's face was suddenly invading his personal space. He almost jumped back, until the baku's hand came down on his fur. Okay, he could enjoy a little bit of lady attention, even if there was a lot of static since SOMEONE forgot to throw a dryer sheet in with his clothes. Gently, the kushi nodded to Xiu's question and struck a bold pose.

Poor thing...though it was good that the little trip through the dryer hadn't done any permanent damage to him. Xiu found herself smiling at the pose, trying to stroke down his fur as best as she could. "You're pretty brave, aren't you? None too happy about being dropping into the dryer, I'm sure, but you took it pretty well."
Another pat on the head, and then Xiu briefly excused herself to check on how her own clothing was doing. After ensuring that there were no stray kushis floating around in her clothes that they were fine, and that they only had a few more minutes left until they were done, the baku sighed and trotted back to the vampire.
"Be more careful with poor Stiletto next time, okay?"

Aww, well shucks. She really knew how to inflate a rodent's ego. Honestly Stiletto wasn't used to such kind words. Sure, ghouls would say 'awwww, how cute!' but that was about where the compliments stopped. Almost immediately after the shower of compliments the kushi started to clean his face, whether to straighten out his fur or hide his invisible blush was anyone's guess.
Lou watched carefully as Xiu moved around. That was, until he noticed a camera up in the corner... Recording them.
Uh... heheh.
Without a word the boil started shoving his slightly damp clothes into a duffel bag after returning the kushi to his shoulder. He had... Another five minutes at best.
Xiu returned and ever so delicately scolded him. Something he couldn't say he really appreciated, but.. "Yeah, yeah. Don't forget who broke the dryer." The boil smirked, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a piece of paper. Yes. He had his number pre-written. Just in case.
The vampire held it out to Xiu. "Should you want your shoes back."

Who broke the dryer? "You did," Was her automatic response, though she wasn't sure whether she should be disapproving of that face or not. On one hand...he tore off the door instead of just stopping the machine and pulling it open like a normal person. Buuut on the other hand, his kushi had been stuck in the machine, and Jack knows that Xiu might have done something very similar had it been Shu, Jian, or Arashi spinning around in there.
Xiu automatically reached out to take the offered paper, only to grimace when she realized what it was. His number? The ghoul sighed, but carefully folded it and tucked the piece of paper into her obi.
"I'll keep that in mind, though I'm beginning to think that I should really give up on my shoes." ...Actually, that wasn't true. Those shoes had been expensive, and it hurt her heart a little knowing that they were gone, but could be gotten back...with a bit of a sacrifice.
The dryer containing Xiu's items let out a little beep then, indicating that it had finished. She glanced towards the machine briefly before looking back to Lou, nodding her head politely. "It was, uh, nice to see you again." When her gaze slid to Stiletto, her expression became significantly more affectionate, and she gave the kushi one more pat on the head. "Take care of yourself, okay?"

Giving up on her shoes then? Well. "You know. Sometimes fighting for things makes them all the more valuable once you finally get them." Lou figured he'd toss that out. To put the proverbial cherry on top of his offer, if nothing else.
And it was cute that she was trying to make it seem nice to be in his presence. "And it was great seeing you again, sweet cheeks." Of course she looked at Stiletto with those eyes. Sometimes it was hard not to be jealous of his fuzzy companion.
At the goodbyes, Stiletto saluted the baku after receiving another pat. Yes, he certainly hoped they'd see more of her around. If only to be showered in more compliments.
Lou began to sprint towards the door, but paused just as he was about to leave. "Just dial those digits if you ever get lonely!" And he was gone with the wind.

...Why did Lou run out in such a rush? Xiu eyed the door with a hint of wariness before she turned back and began pulling her clean clothes out of the dryer, dumping them into her laundry basket. Once she was done, she picked the basket up and turned to leave...
...Only to freeze when she saw the dryer with the torn off door.
Was that why Lou had been so eager to flee?!
Xiu considered simply leaving before anyone came out to see the destroyed machine, but finding that she was unable to do so, she sighed and went to alert someone about the damage done. If it turned out that--what with Lou having fled--she had to pay for it, then the vampire would find himself receiving a call much earlier than he may have expected.
Or maybe it was just as he expected. After all, it wouldn't be a surprised if Xiu walked right into his trap.
