"I have the whole day, bro," Ariane replied, making a makeshift stool out of bricks and then sitting down on it, "It's just you, me, and a lot of sleeping beauties."

"... Lemme rephrase. Not safe for me."
Yes, there were just a bunch of sleepers in here, but that didn't make Deryk much more at ease about talking about it. Ariane was a little judgmental from what he knew so.. he was pretty damn nervous about bringing anything of that nature up to her.

"... How so?" Ariane was really intrigued now.

Deryk looked nervous, then backed away, shaking his head rapidly.
"Don't want to end up in one of those.." he uttered, staring at the pods. It looked like he was trying to leave this room now. Being in here with the thoughts in mind made him very uncomfortable.

"I don't see any reason why you would end up in one of those," Ariane answered, raising one eyebrow as she turned her head to look at the pods around them, "You've been more hard-working than me."

"..Not the point."
Perhaps he should just retreat before Ariane decided to really pry into it.
"Look. Just.. don't want to share this. Some things best left unsaid. That's all..." he said quietly, then Deryk went to leave.

"Fine, fine," Ariane relented, yawning as she stood up from the brick-stool; she wasn't one to press anyway... She was interested, but she wasn't desperate to know. Besides, Deryk's a big boy. There's no need for her to try and baby him or anything.
"I'm hungry..." She walked after him, taking one last glance at the pod Jeremy was in before following him out the pod room, hands behind her back, "Let's go get donuts. You can have your coffee, you coffee addict-in-denial, you."

Deryk let out a sigh of relief at that, glad that Ariane decided to give up on that. Besides, donuts and coffee sounded like a good distraction.
"Sounds good to me," he said with a weak grin, then headed towards the cafeteria.
