Mot flinched as Lizzy began to squeal, leaning away for a moment until her words started to make sense. Battle of the Bands? The reaper scratched his chin.
"...." She seemed like she wanted him to say what he could do. "Oh um... I learned to play the harmonica." She already knew he could carry a tune decently as far as vocals went. Still... performing on stage. He'd done it a few times and survived. He supposed he could suck it up and do it again. Maybe it would be fun?

"Ohh, a harmonica!" Lizzy nodded in what she hoped was an encouraging, enabling manner, "Sooooo, shall we do it together? I wonder if there's anyone else we can ask..."

Mot nodded. So long as Lizzy kept up her end of the deal, he would keep his. "Um.. I'm not sure. I only knew about the Battle of the Bands from you just now." The cafe was now within sights, an open outdoor patio with gardens of thorn bushes and wriggling vines that seemed to steal crumbs from the plates of patrons. Mot grabbed them both a tabel, drinks served to them within the first minute of being there. "Anyone in mind?"

Lizzy was close to saying 'Mac', but then again, she was biased. Besides, she was pretty sure that he mentioned something about starting a band with Hel... She pursed her lips, trying her best to ignore and suppress that feeling of mild disappointment and jealousy.
She just wished that it was easier.
"Not that I can think of," The ghoul idly tapped the side of her glass with a finger, looking around with a faint smile; she enjoyed the physical appearance of the cafe the moment she spotted it from a distance. Judging from how fast they were served drinks, she figured that the customer service must be good too... It felt like a place that she might return to, "Maybe... Xiu?"

Mot sipped at the coffee he had ordered, his nerves instantly settling afterward. "Xiu? I haven't seen her in a while. I think we should ask her to join us." The more the merrier after all. It might be easier if there were others there to share the stage. Heck, this may just be fun.
A snake woman slithered up, smiling widely. Her tongued flicked through the gap between her two long fangs as she greeted the pair. She set down some menus and slithered away.
"If she is on board, we'll need to practice a song for it.."

"Yeah! Let me send out a text to her..." Lizzy fumbled with her eyephone for a while, slipping it back into its hiding place once it was done; now all they have to do is to wait for a reply.Kaiyumi Text to Xiu: XIU! Mot and I were thinking of forming a band to participate in Battle of the Bands. Do you want to join us? <33 I'm on the guitar and Mot is vocals/playing the harmonica! "I wonder what type of songs we should play?" She asked with a thoughtful hum, turning to smile at the waitress when she came over with some menus. Pushing one over to Mot and grabbing one for herself, she then flipped through it, looking more at the pictures than at the words, "... I might just get dessert."

Mot flipped through the menu idly, not paying all that much attention to what was there. He was mostly here for the coffee. "Good question. Depending on what Xiu can play will change our options. Maybe something bluesy?"
He flipped the menu closed and brought out his eyephone, scrolling through the songs he had on it. There had to be something on his or Lizzy's that would appeal.

"Ohhh, that's true," Lizzy nodded; they'll have to keep Xiu in mind as they look for potential songs to play. However, first things first-
She waved the waitress over, and then started to point at things in the menu, "I would like this please! And uh, pack this, and this, and this, and this for me please? In separate boxes. I'll collect them after we are done~"
It was still Mot's treat, right.

Mot blinked, still smiling. Why yes. Yes it was still his treat. Honestly he found it rather cute she was taking so much with her as take out. He chuckled lightly. Looked like he'd be spending more than he thought. Well, he'd not spent much money lately anyway. He had seeds to spare. The waitress smiled, taking down everything Lizzy asked for. Likely they would be packed in lovely gift boxes.
"Ah.. May I have a bowl of spider-eye soup?" He flinched and looked at Lizzy. She wouldn't take offense, right? Right.
The waitress blinked. "Which kind of spider? We have Recluse Spider, Camel Spider, Crab Spider, Daddy-Long Legs Spider.." She ket listing off their types. Just how expansive was their stock in this small cafe?
Mot stared in bewilderment before tapping a picture. "Um.. whatever this is please?" What did Mot know about soup? He'd only ever had Hel's stew.

Lizzy just stared at Mot really, really, really hard. The stare soon became a leo squint, almost like she could not decide if he was joking or not. When it became apparent that he was not joking, her eyes widened, and she made a face that could be summed up as D8 while her hands flew up to cover her eyes.
She was more horrified than offended, really, even though she knew that the type of spiders used in Halloween cuisine... Are most likely minipets, such as Skitters.
Was this revenge for spending his seeds, she wondered.
"Could you pack me one of this and this too, please?" She added once Mot was done with his order; she did not believe in revenge, except for the sweet, desserty kind.

Mot narrowed his eyes as she added more to her order.
"I'll have extra legs in that soup."

"What was that? You saying I don't need to perform anymore? Well okay." Mot smirked and handed the menu back to the waitress. "I'll also have another coffee~. An extra large one."
Sensing danger, the snake lady slithered away with the orders in hand.

So Lizzy pulled up her trump card.
Puppy eyes at Mot, full speed ahead.

Not the puppy eyes. Anything but those. He winced, sipping the last of his first cup of coffee. "Okay, okay." He waved a hand in a downward motion. "I take it back." He'd still have that soup though. If only because he'd already ordered it. Soup also tended to be lighter, easier to consume.
