Rogan sighed and nodded. "Well.. perhaps so.. and it will.. as deep as your love for him was.. But.. no matter what, your foals will have their Uncle Rogan and Uncle Varteres watching over them... I'm not leaving ever again.. Can't.. You and Var led me to my Chosen.." He looked up at Dea warmly, a queer funny feeling in his chest. He was happy, he realized... it was strange.

"Yes, we will be here for you and the little ones, Serenity, always. I am glad we are together again and will be a family once more,"Varteres replied. He smiled softly, glad to see that his brother seemed genuinely happy.
Serenity allowed for a soft smile, then looked over to Dea, knowing she felt a little better. Serenity nosed her brother, then motioned with her head to Dea.
"Go on, it is alright to allow her to pet you, brother. In fact, I can sense her really connecting to you now, like she is with me and Varteres,"she told him.

Rogan nodded as he turned to Dea, his ears flat against his head, not in a menacing manner, but in a half nervous manner. Although of the good alignment, he'd never really spent any time around humans before. He watched Dea with wide eyes, and breathed out heavily.

Varteres got behind Dea and gave her a gentle shove in Rogan's direction, which caused the woman to laugh.
She patted Varteres's nose, before she gracefully walked over to Rogan. She reached out a hand and softly stroked the side of his neck, letting him know it was alright.
"You are safe now, Rogan, I will not allow anyone to hurt you. The six have already taken enough from my family, I will not stand for them to hurt my family any further,"Dea said quietly, but with determination in her voice.

"Nor I." Rogan stated softly, yet firmly as he locked eyes with his Chosen. His body relaxed under her touch and he felt himself leaning into her hand and her petting the more she did so. "Dea... So long as I stand. None shall harm you, your family, or mine. I shall not run from a fight, unless you tell me to. I shall always defend you, even when I think you're wrong. I am no longer a lone one, looking for direction. I have found my direction, and it is to protect my family." His eyes blazed brightly, determinedly. Any could tell, that this stallion was of his word.

Varteres looked at the two and his eyes burned with the determination he felt from the two. He knew Rogan would protect Dea with everything he had.
She continued to stroke his neck and head, her eyes looking into his. They were of one mind in this, they would protect those close to them together, not going to let the Six take anyone else they love.
"We will protect each other and protect those we care about together, my friend. My family is your family now, we will not let anyone hurt them, not anymore,"Dea spoke.
