Bryce Crystallus"No!!""Let's get out of here quickly! Before any more damage is done! We need to find a safe place for us to hide while Tatsuo heals! He won't be able to fly for too long in that condition!"Nevera let out her cold breath creating an icy mist, blinding the enemy's vision. "That will hold them off temporarily. Let's go now!"

The commotion came suddenly as Jin And Dinok neared the stables. Two other students and their dragons took to the air but were besieged by a cloud of arrows.
"What 's going on Dinok? Why are they leaving?"
Dinok lifted his nose and sniffed.
"Bah. It seems a Shade has come. It has a group of Urgals with it. Seems it wants to eliminate these so called Dragon Riders and their training ground."
Jin placed a hand on Dinok's head.
"I've heard that shades are very dangerous. No wonder they ran."
Dinok snorted.
"Feh, cowards. I did not let you drag me all the way out here to be chased off by some wispy, bone-walker and it's pets."
"You don't seriously plan to fight...do you?"
"My flying may be out, but still have my strength. And my energy still recovers a fast as it always has, even if there is little of it."
Jin thought for a moment then sighed. They couldn't very well follow the others after coming this far, and the others had run off without thinking of the innocent people in the school and the town near it that were in the shade's path. His honor would not let him leave them to their fate.
"Very well. You clear out the Urgals, I'll deal with the shade."
Dniok lowered his head s Jin could dismount.
"You must strike the shade in it's heart. Try not to die, human."
"I didn't know you cared Dinok."
"I don't. I care about my soul being bound to yours. If you die, we both do."
"Right.."
Jin took off, heading towards the attackers. Dinok followed and soon, arrows began to rain down around them. Most of them simply bounced off Dinok's thick armour, the plates were sealed so tight no air could pass between them. Jin simply dodged the volley, moving like a ghost, slipping one arrow after another. Dnick charged the army of Urgals as a cold, eerie mist surrounded them. The Urgals grunted and tried to swarm Dinok as he waded in, crushing them beneath his feet and jaws. Jin made strait for the shade. He couldn't see what it looked like, and it didn't matter to him. He felt it's evil all to well. The creature began to launch ice spikes at Jin. The swords man dodged and swatted them away with his sword. The thing slashed at him with it's claws when he got in close. It let out a terrible scream and smacked him in the ribs. He flew back and hit a tree, crumbling to the ground.
"Ungh!"
The shade wailed and charged toward Jin. He staggered to his feet and took his Wind stance, feet wide, shoulders down and sword held upside down pointing forward. The shade approached swiftly and slashed with icy talons. Jin calmly deflected the blow upwards. The other hand came in and Jin swatted it aside while turning his body. The shade's arms were thrown wide and once Jin was facing the other way, he drove the point of the sword back, piercing the beast's heart. The shade screamed and writhed as it began to melt. It's flesh cracked and fell apart until nothing was left but dust and bones. Jin swung his sword to fling the blood off of it and slowly sheathed it. He turned as the mist cleared and Dinok lumbered up to him.
"You alright?"
Jin touched his side. Nothing was broken, but it would be bruised badly and his body ached.
"No thanks to you."

Lo'gosh
He laughed miraculously as he heard the commotion. "Come Icera,it's time to play." The half-giant said,as he gripped his sword and charged at the Urgals. "Oh sure real smart,JUST JUMP INTO THE FREY!" Icera said,as she used the blue energy in her skeleton body to fire a blast of ice at the enemy. Lo'gosh's war cry filled the sky as he cut down urgal after urgal,and laughed. He was shot by arrows in his arms and shoulder but didn't care for them,for as his time in slavery he's endured worst. By the time Icera caught up with him,they cleared out quite a lot of the enemy. "That should by time for the other riders." He said to his dragon. "I agree,jump on let's find them so we can cover them in their escape." Icera replied to her rider. He agreed and jumped atop her back,and fired an arrow at an urgal before it shot them. They then soon caught up with the others.

Cadence BlyTatsuo glided along, with blood gushing from the wound on his wing. Eventually, he couldn't stand the pain, and had to land in a forest below them. The moment he did, Cadence slid off his back and ran to his injured wing. He checked the wound, and winced when she saw where it was. It had imbedded into a tendon. She glanced up at him. " I need to pull it out before I can heal you. Stay still."
Wait. He tugged a small tree out of the ground and held it in his jaws. Ok, go.She reached up and cautiously wrapped her hand around it. It didn't hurt her, so she firmly held onto it and tugged. Tatsuo roared into the tree and it started to smoke. Cadence felt his pain and winced. She threw the arrow on the ground and started murmuring spells of healing. Eventually, where there once was a gaping hole, it now had not even a scar. She sighed and felt the lack of energy. Tatsuo dropped the tree and then let out a gush of fire on it. It immediately caught on fire.
Maybe we should stay here for the night. It's far enough for them to not reach us... And besides, I'm hungry.He pouted. Nevara, wanna come hunting with me?

Bryce CrystallusWhat? Hunting? Are you crazy? The Shade is still out there and maybe quite nearby. Didn't you say we should stay in hiding until the Shade is gone?"Yeah, I think it's better to stay on the safe side for now. And it's late, we should rest up, and so should you Tatsuo even if your wing is healed. We should just go hunt when the sun rises."

Cadence Bly" They're right, you know." Hmph. He curls up on the ground. Cadence sat on the ground, leaning against Tatsuo. She crosses her legs and stares into the fire, which has flecks of purple.

Lo'gosh stared at the other two. "I could do it. Besides, Icera here is undead and i'm a half giant. We'll be able to handle it." He said looking at the shorter two. "So,what do ye say?" Icera looked at the other riders and their dragon,then added, "He's right. We can do it." So Lo'gosh and Icera awaited a response.

Jin sat on Dinok's head as his dragon stretched his wing
"How's it feel?"
Dinok streched the huge wind out ot it's full span and moved it a bit.
"Much better. I'll admit human, you advice about energy management helped."
Jim patted the warm scales on Dinok's head.
"Alright big guy. Lets find the others and tell them that shade is dead."
Dinok read his giant wings and flapped. Dust and debris churned about as the massive beast rose into the sky and soared high over the forest. He flew smoothly and gracefully, despite his immense size. Jin sat calmly, his hand holding one of Dinok's horns. Dinok scanned the forest, following the energy of the other dragons.
"There they are."
Jin leaned forward.
"Are they alright? "
"I believe so."
"Take us down."
Dinok swooped down and flapped his wings. The wind rushed about as he came to a soft landing near the others and Jin jumped off.
"Hey, is everyone alright?"

Lo'gosh looked at the new comer before speaking. "Yeah,I'm fine. Thanks for the back up in that little skirmish." he said,then he looked back at the other two. He was still awaiting for their response to him going hunting for the others.

Bryce CrystallusHe was amazed at the fairly large man and the skeletal dragon who came to them, and they suddenly offered to hunt for them. "R-Really? Well alright then if you're sure you can handle it.. Thank you kind sir.""I don't know about that. I read about these undead dragons, they might be immortal but most of the time they're not in the right mind.. And who knows about their riders..""Hey! Don't be rude like that! I'm pretty sure they're good guys, they just offered to lend us a hand. Be thankful in the least," he turned to the large man, "Sorry, my dragon here isn't the easily trusting type, please excuse her.""Hmph."A while later another man on a dragon swooped down and asked about their condition. "Um.. Yeah we're all okay at the moment. My friend's dragon here got shot in the wing but he's all better now."

Lo'gosh
"Bah,no worries, Icera gets that a lot. She's in the right mind after all,otherwise I'd probably be resurected as some sort of undead warrior in the frozen lands. We'll be on our way,and by the way,my name is Lo'gosh,prince of the barbarians,ex-slave,and I'm a hlaf-giant." He siad with a smile,then flew off. They entered the woods and stealthed around. "We should be careful,the enemy might still be around." Icera said. "I know,which is why we've to be careful." Lo'gosh replied. They came across a few doe that were grazing,and Lo'gosh easily took them down with his bow. However, they weren't the only ones hunting tonight. A large warg came out of nowhere and howled at Lo'gosh. Lo'gosh simply roared back at it,and it backed down. Lo'gosh felt sorry for the creature and handed it one ofthe freshly caught doe. In its greatfulness,it decided to become the half-giant's companion,and stayed with him and Icera. The trio then returned to the others with the food. "Sorry we're late. Had a run in with this here warg,but now she joins us." Lo'gosh announced,placing the does before the others. "Anything else?" Icera added in.

Cadence BlyA loud growl behind her made Cadence jump. It took her a moment to realize it was from Tatsuo's stomach. His head snaked over and he tore off a part of the deer, despite it being raw.

Jin patted Dinok's claw.
"You should eat something."
"No thanks. I'm still full."
Jin turned his head toward Dinok.
"But, we only hunted once today, when did you.............Oh come on Dinok! Don't tell me you ate those Urgals!?"
"I may have snacked a bit."
Jin shook his head. Dinok snorted.
"Bah, why do you even care? They would have killed us. It was me or them, and there was no reason to just leave all that meat there to rot on the ground. Besides, to hunt enough to feed me would take hours. I take what I can get."
"How can you be so indifferent to something like that?"
Dinok picked something out of his teeth with one of his talons.
"Food chain. When you're as big as I am, if it moves, it's food. The way of nature."
Jin felt a little sick.
"I'm glad I'm not an animal..."
Dinok scratched his belly as he lay on his side.
"You keep telling yourself that."

Bryce Crystallus"Hahah.. Great to hear that you killed the Shade and Urgals. Guess we're safe.. for now. But somehow I still feel that something's not right.. But whatever, just a feeling I guess.."Nevara thought about it as she felt the same.
